Zero Customer Service

Zero Customer Service
Absolutely the worst bank ever. Like so many other people, I was also told that my account would be frozen and I would be unable to access my account (to pay my bills/mortgage) and when living away from Spain, this would have caused a real problem. Everything comes at a cost (even a debit card!) When I sold my house, Caixa told me that I would need to personally visit a branch in order to close my account (even though my solicitor had power of attorney). Luckily, this was sorted out, but only because of my persistence. I have never felt such sheer relief of being able to close my account.

Worst Bank!!!

What can I say??? the worst bank is a true opinion. Getting any answer from bank clerk is a really miracle. They don't inform you if anything goes wrong, suspend your account without any sign and everything know better... shame on you!

The worst bank ever

The worst bank ever. Just thieves.
When tried to close my long saving accounts after losing money on new savings, they kept all the interest earned for 14 years from my old savings too! as they said I clicked on the button saying I didn’t want those profits!
It didn’t make any sense as how would I refuse to gain all the interest earned?
But they invest quite a lot in their legal department…to get away with their lies and robbery to poor customers like me as we can’t afford to fight for out rights!
Also, they ask you to sign up many contracts without checking what you have finally signed so keep an 👁️ on them.
That’s why they make millions of profits, on stealing poor people’s savings …Very unfair.

I have been scammed by a person that is openly scamming people and using his CaixaBank account for it. Looks like company does not care to partner up with fraudsters as long as they get their cut.

This ridiculous bank asks me for…

This ridiculous bank asks me for documentation every day and wants me to prove that I am actually a medical doctor. I have scanned my international ID card recognized all over the globe and this tiny organization doesn’t recognize it. Probably it is illegal procedure and if I had taken them to the court, they wouldn’t stand a chance. But why waste time and money on such ridiculous bank. DONT PUT A PENNY HERE. Unprofessional impolite arrogant ignorant are just a few words to describe this bank and how you will be treated.

This bank makes its own rules up!!

This bank makes its own rules up!!! How can this bank still be in business with all the VERY BAD REVIEWS?? My account is blocked again (twice in the same year) after signing more made up documents it still remains blocked.. meaning I can not pay my utility bills, but guess what ..they let me put money in to cover the mortgage..I transferred €2 to see if my bank was unblocked and they have now added a new €15 charge for every time I make a transfer!! DONT FORGET PEOPLE THIS BANK HAS CHANGED NAMES 3-4 TIMES IN THE LAST 5 YEARS BMN, BANKIA, CAIXABANK, HOLABANK THERE IS A REASON FOR THIS!!!!!!!

My negative review will not make the…

My negative review will not make the slightest of difference to improve this appalling service. Went in today to do a simple withdrawal as we were never given a bank card, waited for 3/4 of an hour to be told that I had to move to the naughty corner and wait longer to be seen to, to which I answered that I couldn’t wait any longer and that I would be transferring my cash to another bank……Good was the professional response that I got from the bank Clark!!

Worst Spanish bank

Worst Spanish bank. Am an old customer from Bankia, which bank was then bought by Caixa. Experience since then has been a very poor one.
They blocked my account for 6 months when I informed them myself that I wanted to update my profile with my new passport number. Bringing my passport physically to the main branch in Barcelona did not help. They asked that we go first to police for immigrants (I am European) and then to French consulate, which we did, for nothing. Account still blocked.
In January 2022, they started to charge us for account maintenance (irrespective of the balance we maintained). We then asked to close accounts for which you need to visit your branch twice to be effective due to overnight bank process runs. If you don’t, Caixa will continue to charge you. No respect for the poor customers nor the poor bank employees who spend hours on a process that takes minutes elsewhere.
At the end, we went across the street to open an account at another bank. Works perfectly, easy and pleasant. It is therefore not “Spanish banks” but “CaixaBank” which has a serious problem. The issue is not the bank employees. The issue is CaixaBank own internal bank processes and IT system.
Opened market and competition will address the situation… with time. CaixaBank: soon for sale?

Absolute rubbish customer service

Absolute rubbish customer service, but they love to to charge all this ridiculous maintenance. I haven't used my account for years because they would not activate it or change it from lanzarote to mainland Spain. Now there demanding money..... Avoid this bank.

Customer care when visiting from abroad …

Last year this bank was most helpful and sorted my car tax payment. This year the branch would not deal with me because I could not speak Spanish. Another Holabranch which supposedly helps all nationalities allowed me to speak English but would not look up my bill for this year and said I had to get it online. What has happened to customer care?!

Stoneage banking

When I purchased a holiday home in Spain, my solicitor set me a bank account up with Caixabank. One year later I still have no card and no access to my account despite paying 25 euros a month. Flew over this week after arranging a meeting- 4 hours in a meeting and they still cannot give me a card. I can't believe how backward this bank is.
