A superb all-round performance from Caffyns, Haywards Heath
Would like to thank Guy Moss at Caffyns, Haywards Heath for providing a super service, from initial enquiry through to final collection, of my newly purchased VW Polo. His excellent product knowledge, attention to detail and customer communication during the sales process has been much appreciated. To sum up, 'a most satisfying and enjoyable purchase in all respects'. Thank you.
In our search for a replacement VW…
In our search for a replacement VW Sharan, we stumbled upon a low mileage Approved Car at Caffyns in Brighton. Despite being based in Southwest London, we managed everything remotely, with phone calls and video reviews of the vehicle, which required some bodywork repairs. Richard Price expertly guided us through each step with professionalism and friendliness, making the entire process smooth and reassuring. After the MOT, service, and repairs were finalized, my in-laws went to pick up the car. They reported back with enthusiasm, praising how well it drove and its nearly new appearance. I'm thrilled with the excellent service from Caffyns and especially Richard Price, and I'm more than happy to recommend them wholeheartedly. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful car!
Had an issue with my fob keys
Had an issue with my fob keys. Batteries changed but still not working or locking. Had to leave the car. Ollie came to my rescue. Sorted the issue. Picked up car quickly. Service with a smile.
Excellent service!!
Excellent service!!
We would just like to highly recommend the wonderful service we received from Sam Crawford from Ashford branch of Caffyns.
From the very start Sam was extremely helpful, patient and friendly. He went above and beyond: picking us up from the train station and lending us his personal UBS-C cable for our journey home. Sam is very competent and professional and made the process seemless. He is an absolute star and we can't thank him enough :)
Excellent care, service and a lovely car
We were desperately in need of a replacement VW Sharan and noticed that Caffyns in Brighton had a low mileage Approved Car just come in.
As we were in Southwest London we had to arrange everything over the phone including videos of the car which needed some bodywork repaired and completing all of the various procedures and signing documents over the phone. Richard Price handled everything with care, courtesy and speed and was extremely reassuring and helpful throughout the whole procedure.
My parents in law went down to collect the car once the MOT, Service & repairs were completed and everything ran according to plan. They rang to confirm that they were very happy with the car and that it drove really nicely and in fact looked like a new car.
I am delighted with the service that Caffyns and Richard Price in particular gave us and we now have a lovely car to show for it. I can highly recommend them and thankyou very much.
Misleading information and poor aftercare from Caffyns Volvo Eastbourne
I purchased my XC40 from Caffyns Volvo Eastbourne last December and the experience has been deeply disappointing. I was clearly told the car came with three years of servicing or up to 30,000 miles. When the first service became due, I was informed it would cost £395, with next year’s service set to exceed £600.
When I challenged this, I was told the salesperson was no longer with the company. That response is unacceptable. It doesn’t change the fact that I was given incorrect information at the point of sale. Had I been told the truth, I would have budgeted differently.
The aftercare has been extremely poor as well. I was promised a follow-up call after 100 days of ownership, but nothing happened. It’s a real shame because I genuinely love the car, yet the lack of support has left me questioning whether I’d buy from them again.
The whole experience suggests the focus was on making the sale rather than providing honest information and proper customer care.
Great service
Great service. Thank you Mark for the test drive and for you & Emily for the friendly way you both set out the options and paperwork. Yet another Skoda purchase from Caffyns TW as they always help out so nicely.
Caffyns VW Worthing👍🏻
I want to highly praise Caffyns VW Worthing and to especially thank Joe Cosgrave for his excellent help and patient support throughout the whole process.
Two weeks on, we are delighted with the car which was very kindly delivered to us a good distance away.
If you are looking for a new or used car from a trusted dealership do go to Caffyns.
I would highly recommend skoda caffyns…
I would highly recommend skoda caffyns in Eastbourne. Dan Reed went above and beyond to accommodate my needs with collection and made sure I understood all the in car gadgets before I drive away. Thank you Dan.
Unsafe !!
Collected Skoda Elroq after 12 weeks the car was delivered to me in an unclean unwashed condition. The driver side foot mats were black and dirty. It was certainly not how I expected my new car to arrive.
I gave it a good clean and all was well I thought, until I took it on the motorway and it started veering off to the side and generally felt unsafe to drive. The nearest garage was a Kwik fit who checked vehicle over and discovered the two front tyres were warped and buckled. Possibly from sitting around strapped on for a long period of time? Who knows.
The tyres were changed and report photos etc. were then sent to customer services who would not take responsibility for this. They took weeks to even get back to me and when they did they said they wanted to see the tyres do I still have them ? Oh yeah there knocking around the house somewhere! No I don't have the Their response was as Kwik fit is not recognised by them they would not accept my complaint. I've had so many issues with this car I wouldn't recommend Skoda Eastbourne Caffyns. Terrible handover at branch and difficult customer services.
What fantastic service from this…
What fantastic service from this dealership (Caffyns Audi Brighton)I live in South Wales and bought a second hand Audi Q3 Sline over the internet from them- the sales executive Simon Huxford was so helpful and kept me informed every step of the way, friendly and professional. Never bought a car by distant selling before and quite nervous about it without viewing first, Simon assured me the car was in very good condition and sent me a video. When the car arrived by courier and I inspected it, he was wrong! The Q3 was in showroom condition with hardly a mark on it for 63,000 miles. I am over the moon with it and cannot recommend this dealership enough through my experience. Thank you so much.
Very Unhappy Customer
I have recently picked up a year old used XC60 Volvo only to find out I do not qualify for your latest offer of £199 for two services. I am very annoyed because the dealership said my finance was agreed on 30th August and the offer started on 1st September. I did not pick the car up until 11th September, plus I spent all day in the dealership due to the fact that Volvo finance system was down and everything had to be done manually. How can Volvo say that everything was sorted on the 30th if on the 11th September I had to wait 6 hours in the dealership before I could sign the documents and drive the car home. Caffyns Volvo knew this deal was set to start on the 1st September so why did they not advise me to wait 2days before I completed the deal, obviously August sales figures are more important than customer satisfaction.
Avoid if you are a Motability customer
If you are a Motability customer, AVOID CAFFYNS VOLVO at Eastbourne.
Where do I begin? From apathy at best from Volvo.UK during the purchase process, to truly appalling service attitude.
Firstly, Volvo were MONTHS behind the delivery date. It started well….the car went down the production line in Ghent within days of the order being accepted, but then, like the morning mist, it simply evaporated.
Volvo claimed they “Didn’t know where the car was.” In these days of computer tracking, they actually expected me to believe they had lost an entire XC40.
Then, eventually, they found it at Zeebrugge docks, but had no idea when it would be shipped. No idea, and no urgency either. Weeks passed and evetunally i was told that Volvo U.K had “…assigned a manager” to expedite the case. I never heard from him/her. In the end, I offered to take the ferry myself and collect it. But no…cant do that. “No” is a word you will hear a lot from Volvo.
Eventually, the car arrived at the dealership…damaged. A small dent in the passenger front door. But wait.. “Volvo won’t authorise the repair.” Why not? Oh, no reason given. It doesn’t take a genius to work out that Volvo wanted to find out where and by whom the damage was caused. Me, the customer? Well, I can just wait.
Oh, no apology, of course. Not even when I raised a formal complaint with Volvo. They offered to raise a complaint with Motability….as if in some way it was their fault.
I asked if there were any other XC40s in the country? Answer - no. (See? ‘No’ again)
I offered to accept the vehicle as is dent and all, and would sign a disclaimer to that effect. Answer? You guessed it. “No.”
Now, during this time, the advance payment had dropped by £1000. Good news, right? Not a bit of it. “Oh no. (Again) You have to pay the original £2500 advance payment.
By now I’d had enough and a previous Motability dealership was after my business. Motability said I could cancel the order, so I did. The salesman said “That might be Motability rules…it’s not ours.” The suggestion being they could sue me. I laughed in their face. “Sue me? For NOT supplying a car? Bring it on!”
As I drove home, the phone rang. Suddenly, and out of nowhere, there were THREE XC40s available for me immediately. (Well, within a week.) “Pick a colour.” they said. So I did. And then there weren’t three at all. Two of the three had mysteriously sold in the 20 minutes it took me to drive back to the dealership.
So, I ended up with a car I hadn’t ordered, in a colour I didn’t want.
Oh how I wish it ended there.
The vehicle steadfastly refused to accept an Over-The-Air update. Also it was intermittent with regard to finding wireless networks and hotspots. So I booked it in for a collection and service on Monday 8th Sept 2025. While waiting, I threw my scanner on the car just to see what, if anything else, might be hiding. Two fault codes appeared. One in the ABS module, and one in the SRS system so I printed out the report and sent it in with the car.
Apparently, these faults cannot be investigated as Volvo insist on onlyVolvo spares and accessories being fitted.
Said accessories are a professionally supplied and fitted towbar and an amateur radio. I could have had a Volvo towbar…at £1500, or a Eurotow one at £450. No contest really.
But “Volvo insist…?” is also a phrase you will hear a great deal. Such is the arrogance of this manufacturer.
So I waited for my car’s return. It didn’t happen. Instead, I got an email at 18:00 telling me to phone them (they know I am profoundly deaf) at 08:00 the following day to pay the delivery fee after which the car would be returned “…at some point.
So the two medical appointments that morning had to be cancelled.
OPINION: No manufacturer or dealership is capable of this level of incompetence and still remain in business. I firmly believe that, while being a Motability marque and dealership looks good in the PR flyers, the last thing they want is Motability customers. Neither Volvo nor the dealership earn a lot from us - they get a ‘handling fee’ unless we reach for the accessories list. Certainly I shall never deal with Caffyns or Volvo again, and I would advise anyone else not to touch them with a barge pole. I firmly believe that if I had wandered in there as a cash buyer for a fully-loaded XC90 or the like, this saga would never have happened. So, no more Volvos or Caffyns for me.
I suspect this will suit both me and the dealership.
PS, in case you’re wondering, no, Motability don’t want to know either. If a customer has a problem with a dealer, or any partner organisation such as RAC Motability, KwikFit or Autoglass, Motability refer you to the company concerned….who refer you to Motability, who refer you to…..well, you get the idea

Terrible sales & customer service
Terrible sales & customer service, have no idea how car works or even understand manics of car, my car had several faults but was told basically 'its the nature of the car being a EV' what lot of tripe, basically ignored scoffed at, gave up got rid of Skoda Enyaq 85 only after 7 weeks due to be to hazardous to drive and shoddy suspension parts used with drums brakes on car that weighs over 2.3tons! so bad handling thrown in.
Avoid this dealership & with Skoda head office refuse to pay my deposit back which was charitable donation, shame on you Skoda, your EV are a pile junk.
AVOID
Will never return back to this company. Especially the TUNBRIDGE WELLS BRANCH.
Not only have we had multiple issues with the car we bought, since having its service, the team broke our wing mirror and are point blank refusing to fix it. Now are ignoring all calls, emails from us. AVOID THEM

The sales executive (Daniel) who we dealt with was very professional, informative and extremely helpful. He answered any questions we had and gave lots of information about the car we were interested in, (which we consequently bought) .
The whole experience of Caffyns was professional and welcoming. I would 100% recommend them!
