Lifetime warranty is worthless

They say Caesarstone has a lifetime warranty until something goes wrong. No warranty at all, just excuses that it is not a factory fault. We had two benchtops installed at the same time in each bathroom. Sent this message to them after their technician came out to assess but have had NO response. - The vanity in question is located in a bathroom that is rarely used. We do not use harsh or caustic cleaning products on any of our Caesarstone surfaces — only mild household cleaners as recommended. There has been no plastic wrap left on the surface, nor have any chemical products been stored on it for extended periods.
What concerns us most is that we have two Caesarstone benchtops installed at the same time, under the same conditions, and only one has developed these brown marks — and they continue to spread. If this were caused by user-related damage, we would reasonably expect similar wear or marks on the other vanity top, which has not occurred.
We are careful homeowners and have taken every precaution to care for these surfaces in accordance with Caesarstone’s guidelines. The marks appeared without any identifiable incident and have progressively worsened. Given these circumstances, we believe this warrants further investigation as a potential material issue rather than external damage.
We would appreciate:
1. A secondary review of the claim, preferably by a senior technician or independent assessor.
2. Written clarification outlining specifically how the conclusion of “caustic burn” was determined.
3. Confirmation of whether similar cases have been reported with this product batch.

We chose Caesarstone based on its reputation for durability and its lifetime warranty, and we are hopeful this matter can be resolved fairly.

Have white Caesar stone kitchen bench…

Have white Caesar stone kitchen bench tops in which a large area has gone a yellowing colour. Caesar stone have informed me that this is “ normal “ and other than replacing it there is nothing they or I can do, despite a 10 year warranty, in which of course this is not covered. Why? Who knows?! Because they can!! Other than spending a further $9,000 on a new bench top I’m stuck with a white bench top with an area of yellowing that looks awful! I tell everyone about my experience with Caesar stone and about how unprofessional they are and how bad the product is. I’ve had corian in the past and tell everyone to buy that as the product is much more versatile and the company give a damn Unlike Caesar stone.

I would like to know out of all these bad reviews where Caesar stone have replied. How many of you had success? My guess is none!!! I’ve tried for 4 years and no one has even come out to look at the bench!!!!

Further to this complaint and Caesar stone suggesting I contact them for support, I have been going back and forward for 2 days to end up exactly where I did 3 years ago, except now my warranty has expired despite they now have life time warranty.
I will be taking this further but people need to be aware.
The outcome was the stain has been caused by hard water, the minerals from the stone have come to surface causing yellowing. No one wants this to happen to their bench top they have spent thousands on. I will eventually have to remove it and will go with corian who stand by there product and believe in customer service.

Have had Cloudburst installed

Have had Cloudburst installed, so disappointed. It marks and stains constantly, have had it Nano Cleaned and even sealed. It is still staining and makring and Caesarstone QLD are the worst people to deal with, very rude and inconsiderate. It has been a very stressful time. I would not receomment Caesarstone Cloudburst.

DISAPPOINTED

I always dreamed of having a Caesarstone Bench Top and after having laminex for 20 years, I thought my dream had finally come true but it has turned into a nightmare. It's not durable or easy to clean or to keep clean. Everything seems to leave marks on it and I am constantly cleaning it because I can't stand looking at it. What a HUGE disappointment! $14000 down the drain. I wish I could go back to my old laminex top.

Put Caesarstone 'Pure White' throughout…

Put Caesarstone 'Pure White' throughout our new house, from the moment we moved in it started marking. Newspaper, washing machine box, tins, most things that touch it leave a mark and wiping down will not remove them. You have to buy the Caesarstone cream cleanser and do a full clean with a non-scratch sponge, I am doing this every 3 days to keep it clean. We are unbelievable disappointed & Caesarstone's response is 'we can't be responsible for how you use it'. The cleanser is also abrasive so we are concerned that it will compromise the bench colour long term. The bathroom bench already has a permanent stain that they couldn't remove. If you are looking to buy their product, test the sample before you put it in your house. I doubt I will buy Caesarstone ever again.

Contacted Caesarstone after the response below. They emailed giving me information about how to use their Caesarstone cleaning products with a video to watch....doesn't address the issues does it.

Marks and stains very easily

Our new frosty carrina caeser Stone kitchen benchtops are terrible. Everything we put on it leaves a dark mark/stain which needs bleach to remove. ( yes bleach as advised by caeserstone). Not happy especially because we paid a fortune for it. Expected more. It's not practical for a family of 5 that cook a lot and the island was meant to be used to sit and eat at but we are too scared to use it.

Caesarstone is virtually non-porous and we’d recommend maintaining your benchtop regularly using the Caesarstone Cream Cleanser to remove any residue from the surface as this will trap marks.

Looks phenomenal

We had White Shimmer installed in our kitchen four years ago. Four large pieces which look as good now as the day they were put in. I don’t do anything special with regards to cleaning and it just always look beautiful. So impressed, we put same in our current laundry renovation to match the kitchen and Pure White in the en-suite and bathroom. Against timber grain cabinetry and white polished tiles, the effect is sleek and clean. Couldn’t be happier with Caesarstone product.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware. They do not stand by their 10 year warranty. They tell you that it's your fault. You can't claim if it's not installed by a caesarstone installer. NOT HEAT RESISTANT. Large cracks appeared in numerous places they blamed installer not their product.
Don't waste your money

BUYER BEWARE!!!

We spent nearly $15000 on Caesarstone for our kitchen, laundry room and granny flat. We have a 4m x 1.2m Caesarstone kitchen island bench made of 2 slabs. It was installed in late 2015.

We don't have kids (counter gets gentle use), rarely drink red wine (stains), always use wooden chopping boards if we are placing something hot on the island and we use the caesarstone cleaning product as advised. The island usually gets 1-2 hours of indirect sunlight per day (seasonal).

In the past 6 months 1 of those pieces has started to change colour (see photos). I contacted caesarstone with multiple phone calls and emails containing pictures and all the other relevant details. Then I waited and waited....and waited. It took them 10 WEEKS for someone to finally respond to me. It was another 2 weeks before someone came to the house to inspect the island.

The end result is that Caesarstone Australia will not do anything about it. WHY? Simply put this product does not come with a warranty. If you are like me you probably just skim over the details of a warranty but don't really read them. I won't go over every point but have a look...

caesarstone dot com dot au dot warranty

Point 3(i) - If anyone other than Caesarstone instals the product the warranty is void. So if you bought it through a kitchen or bathroom shop and they installed it...warranty void. However Point 3(xvi) says the warranty is void if not installed by a qualified licensed stonemason. This contradicts the first point!

Point 3(ii) - If you have a shop or stonemason cut the slab to size and install it for you...warranty void. Also see Point 3(ix)

Point 3(iii) - Warranty void if slab is exposed to 'ultraviolet radiation'. What is ultraviolet radiation? It is light. In emails with Caesarstone this includes sunlight, LED light, fluorescent light. So if your slab starts to change colour they can blame it on light regardless of the source. Your warranty is void due to light, natural or artificial!! What a joke! You would think that they would put some sort of UV protectant in the mix!

Point 3(ix) - Warranty is void if you use paint removers or strippers, which seems pretty common sense. However it is also void if you use any cleaners that 'have high pH cleaners’ examples of which contain sodium salt, soaps and surfactants". That is a quote from an email from the warranty department. So basically anything that contains soap or a foaming agent (surfactants) voids your warranty. Pretty much every cleaning product on the market. Except of course their cleaning product ($30+ per litre). However there is no point using their expensive product because your warranty is already void before it is even installed in your home!

I haven't touched on cracks or chipping because they have not affected me.

It looked awesome when we first installed it but knowing what I know now I would probably put in real stone. The product is below par, the after sales service is disgraceful and the warranty is non existent! I would avoid this company and their products at all costs.
