Difficult to use website
Difficult to use website. Finding suitable hotel to match voucher awkward not being able to book online. Phoning hotel to make booking,,disclosing voucher being told no available dates, several hotels said this. So swapped voucher for meal vouchers and sea life centre tickets. Voucher codes emails downloading tickets etc pain in the bt. Have asked family not to ever buy again for me as the whole thing really annoying

Disappointing customer service
I received a theatre experience for 2 people for The Devil Wears Prada at the Dominion Theatre. I made a booking for Fri 28th August and paid an extra £25 each to book seats as there were none available which were covered by my voucher. However, 2 days before we were due to go my friend was taken ill and unable to attend. I went on to the Buyagift website and over the chat facility was able to explain that we couldn’t go and was asked to give 3 other preferred dates - which I did.
I was advised I would get a response if this was acceptable- to date have heard nothing and on the date I was due to go, I received the tickets via text from the Theatre -which I couldn’t use!
As I still haven’t had any response I presume that I was unsuccessful in being able to rebook this experience which is very disappointing.

Booked a meal using a Buy A Gift meal for two voucher and had to cancel due to plan changes. Voucher now counts as spent so we get nothing from it. What a waste of money.

I bought a voucher but it was not…
I bought a voucher but it was not activated at the time of use. I had to pay the full amount out of my own pocket. I complained to Byuagift. They said they would only refund via voucher. I received a voucher for 47 pounds less than the amount I paid. It was an experience where I never wanted to buy a voucher again. However, I received the money I unfairly spent as a voucher. I am extremely annoyed.

Buy a gift was so easy to use
Buy a gift had so much choice it was a little difficult to choose. The booking process was easy,so good.
I eventually chose a tour around Shrewsbury Prison,it was amazing & very informative. My guide,Malcolm was so knowledgeable & immersed everyone into what life was like in a Prison from the Victoria's to present day. I would definitely do it again.

Nokwethemba was amazing, so helpful and everything was sorted so quickly. My voucher had expired due extenuating circumstances and they were so great and extended this for me to allow it to be used. Really amazing customer service.

The website is overly complicated
The website is overly complicated. It was not clear if I had to contact the hotel direct or pay for the experience on the website. I contacted the hotel and was told the voucher wasn't valid. I tried to contact the helpdesk but had to wrestle with an AI assistant for too long before I was allowed to message a real person. The real customer assistant (Ruth) was very helpful and sorted the query.

It would have been cheaper to book direct.
We were given this gift to see a show, which we decided to exchange for a different show.
The value of the gift was £90 and by the time we exchanged the voucher to tickets it cost us a further £99 .
If we had booked direct it would only have cost £45 extra.
Sadly the economics of this system failed us.

Was a great tour of the Triumph…
Was a great tour of the Triumph factory, The man showing us around was brilliant and passionate about the company. I would definitely go back again. The museum and cafe were excellent too. It's a great experience and would recommend to anyone who loves and is passionate about motorcycles.

Disliked not having access to a phone number. The IA system did not respond in the way I expected. Found the whole process of trying to make contact with the right department to deal with my query very uncomfortable. When finally through to an advise, great efficient service.

I had an issue with a voucher that I had purchased, as I had not received the confirmation e mail. I chatted with Scarlet who was really helpful, the chat took no more than 10 minutes and my issue was resolved and I now have my voucher.
