Great Company and a Wonderful Experience
This is our second Japan trip with Bunnik Tours. Bunnik take the stress out of organising things and tour group numbers are smaller than other tour companies (this suits us very well). The itinerary and experiences were well considered and very enjoyable. Our guide, Yuki was awesome, and a great communicator. The WhatsApp group allowed us to share photos and communicate about start times etc. We love Japan and hope to use Bunnik again soon.

Japan Tour
We have just completed the Japan Discovery tour with Bunnik Tours. Of the 12 tours done with Bunnik this was up there as one of the best. Our tour guide, Eiko, was outstanding and largely contributed to the success of the tour.
There was a wide range of included activities and experiences that provide a good insight to Japan and its culture.

We had friends highly recommend Bunnik Tours.
We booked a trip to Japan with them in April 2026.
Sadly our guide did not have a great comprehension of the English language.
She struggled to answer simple questions and seemed not to have a lot of knowledge of some of the sites we visited.
With the bullet trains she had us standing at the wrong place on the station which resulted on us having to move through carriages,pushing pass people and their luggage while the train is going 270 klm per hour .
We were supposed to catch a cable car to see Mt Fuji,weather permitting.
Well the weather was fine it was a Sunday and school holidays,the queues went for ever so we were walked down a path to a lake where we stood around for an hour ,waiting for our bus.,could have joined the queue for the cable car.
Perhaps pre purchasing tickets for groups would be sensible.
Another I feel silly excursion was to 2 designer factory outlet shops.
Sadly our trip was not up to our expectations

We're sorry, however, that other parts of your experience didn’t come together as you had hoped, particularly in relation to the Tour Director’s communication and guidance. As shared in our earlier correspondence, we take this feedback seriously and it is being addressed with our local partner.
We also appreciate you highlighting the train experience. From our follow-up, it appears there was a mix-up with carriage allocations which was corrected at the time, however we understand how unsettling this would have felt in the moment.
In regard to the ropeway experience near Mt Fuji, I understand your frustration. While tickets were arranged, queues at this location can be significant, particularly during peak periods, and on this occasion were longer than usual. After assessing the situation with the group, an alternative option was taken and the ropeway tickets were refunded. We do appreciate that this would still have been disappointing.
Thank you as well for your comments regarding the itinerary and included experiences. We aim to offer a balance across each tour, though we recognise that not every inclusion will suit every traveller.

Japan with Bunnik
Our guide Eiko was excellent. We all wanted to take her home. Her English was excellent, and she made it seamless travelling from one venue to another, which I guess is mostly due to Bunnik's great organisation. One suggestion I do have, there was one part of the trip which involved travelling on a very crowded commuter train. It was unpleasant having to stand for such a long time, crushed up against other commuters, (my wife is a bit claustrophobic), and one of our party had her purse stolen, so I would suggest that be removed from the itinerary, although I realise it is part of the Japanese experience. Nicky, our booking agent, was also excellent and had a lot of useful information not provided in the brochures. We also took our own jug, as advised, but found it unnecessary, as every venue provided one. We would definitely travel with Bunnik again.

I have travelled with this company to Japan, South America and now Spain/Portugal/Morocco. Just not happy.
The same day that we booked a Tour of Japan requiring a $1000 non-refundable deposit, my wife and I were informed that the airfare component would be $1,266 extra due to an Economy Class Supplement. We were both taken aback, and queried this with an agent (who was very polite), and after a day or two, found a Malaysian Airlines flight for us without this extra cost.
Having heard about Bunnik Tour's from others being a higher end price, we thought that of course, the flights would be direct and slightly under 10 hours. At our ages, I thought, yes, I can handle a 10 hour Economy flight. But our flights will be over 16 hours with hours stopped over waiting in Kuala Lumpur. We are quite disappointed and anxious with all of this. After finding out that this was what was in store for us, I asked the representative whether we would be checked into a room in Tokyo when we arrived early morning. The answer was no, from 08:00 to 14:00 you can wait in the lobby. We are lost for words.

We have just returned from your Japan Discovery tour as first time group travellers
We have just returned from your Japan discovery tour and it was wonderful. The group we travelled with were all like age and not a bad word amongst us for the entire period. Your guide, Haruko Hayashi was excellent, made the tour stress free, all transitions were seamless and worry free. Whether bus or train, everything flowed (she also taught us 15 minutes early is on time), who knew. Your hotel selection varied from good to better to best and I did not think past criticisms I had read were fair on you. All meals were excellent and abundant and the times of sourcing our own meals gave a chance to experience what else was available. The tour highlights chosen for the tour were just that, extraordinary and emotional, something's my wife and I will never forget, inside a volcano and Hiroshima just to name a few. The transport supplied to us gave us plenty of comfort and space, such as 40 seater coaches for 20 people and comfortable pre booked train travel on both commuter trains and the exceptional bullet train which does not wait for you to sit before it goes ( be quick to sit). This was our first group tour and we were concerned it would not suit us but it did and we are happy customers. If you would accept one logistical suggestion; I would recommend that all popular sites be locked in for morning tours as an afternoon visit seems to attract more visitors than is humanly possible and with heat and humidity what would normally be excellent becomes good.

My husband and I enjoyed our first ever guided
tour.Our guide Yumi was wonderful and provided lots of insights into Japanese life and customs. We saw many things we would not have been able to see if we were travelling independently, plus we never got lost! The tour was busy but we had free time for dinners and a full day in Kyoto. Food was wonderful and we tried lots of local specialties.Accomodation was very good, except Tokyo where the room was small and basic
