There was confusion over the leaving date due to the Japanese rules and insufficient numbers. We felt this could have been handled better.

The background information on the website was sketchy, eg, will our Australian phones work in Japan.

Enjoyed our trip,Yumi the guide was excellent loved The scenery, history and the very friendly people, the hotels were very good bar the one in Kyoto the beds were like sleeping on concrete I was not the only one that complained (recommend you change it).
The typhoon caused us to miss out on some places because of flooding and road closures but Yumi took us to other places to make up for it which was good of her.
I recommend this itinerary as it gave us time
to learn about Japan and its people as we didn’t have to move on every day.

We enjoyed the tour and found the tour guide very knowledgeable and gave us a great insight into life in Japan. The only other comment is about the first day we arrived in Japan. That was treated as a free day. However as this was the first time most guests had visited Japan they were really lost and not sure where to go or what to do. Most just hung around the hotel waiting for the tour to start next day. In other words it was a waste of a day. Suggest if there is going to be a free day then it be some other day in the tour.

My Japan Discovery tour in October was fantastic with an outstanding guide, Hiroko, and lots of marvellous experiences. Autumn colours were just starting to appear as we travelled from Tokyo to Hakone and Takayama, then on to Hiroshima, Kyoto and Osaka, often by bullet train. Accommodation ranged from a lovely traditional ryokan to classy hotels conveniently located right by railway stations.
Among the many highlights were a sumo demonstration, sushi making class, kimono experience and countless delicious banquets.
Japan was a wonderful destination and my Bunnik Tour was a stress free way of experiencing it.

The Bunniks tours that I did to Northern Japan and Sri Lanka were wonderful in every aspect. Excellent guides, accommodation, food, sights, coaches and a small group of 20. Loved every minute.

We enjoyed the tour of Japan and are looking at other tours in the near future.It was value for money.

Japan tour Good value for money great guide

Japan - Great trip full of fabulous experiences, terrific guide who was well organised and looked after us wonderfully. Great bus drivers of the utmost competence. Accommodation generally of a high standard but be careful in Spring where many hotels are still in Winter mode in not allowing sufficient cooling which led to some uncomfortable rooms.
Would definitely travel with Bunnik again before looking elsewhere.

Thoroughly enjoyed our Japan trip, everything went smoothly, wonderful guide, not a big group.

Relaxed and engaging tour of Japan. Superb tour guide. Small group the way to go!

Our Tour guide Umi was terrific. Her knowledge and humour brought the group together and made for a relaxed informative stress free holiday. The schedule was well paced and accommodations ideal. We enjoyed the cultural experiences and traditional meals, in particular the trout cafe at Shirakawa -Ogimachi. Highly recommended.

Recommend the Japan Autumn Discovery with Yumi. A great trip with lots of Japan unique experiences and food.

Great itinerary at a good pace & excellent guide

Our Japan Discovery tour was magnificent in 99% of ways. Our Tour Guide was exceptional in every way (Hiro was her name) - her knowledge, her time management skills, her ability to converse with everyone and her humour was extraordinary as well as she would go out of her way to help any of the tourists if they needed extra help with anything (especially those of us who needed some translating done with the local pharmacist regarding medicines). The towns and cities we visited were also extraordinary, the accommodation, both traditional and modern, were 4 star, the coaches used were also modern and extremely clean, food, both traditional and western were plentiful and delicious and the Japanese experiences in which we participated were memorable. I would recommend this Tour with Bunnick Tours as the best I have experienced and I've seen and travelled on a lot of tours around the world.

First class tour (Colours of Northern Japan) in terms of organisation and accommodation. Would have preferred to have had more nature experiences in view of the basic aim of the tour, though.

We chose Bunnik tours of Japan on the recommendation of a friend who had a great experience with them. They certainly did not disappoint. Our guide (Youme?) was so committed to sharing her culture and country with us. I would recommend them without hesitation.

My partner and I went on a tour/cruise to Japan Aug/Sept 2018. The cruise was disappointing in that there was little to do other than be a captive audience for art sales etc. The land part of the trip was good overall. Our arrival day was not the best as we were exhausted after traveling for 24hrs. Unfortunately being the morning we were unable to access our hotel, only able to leave luggage till we returned to book in in the afternoon. A lovely boat ride through the canals etc would have been more enjoyable and stopping for lunch along the way. Also cooler on the water. Maybe going to board the cruise on the day of arrival may be better. Just some ideas. Thank you.

excellent tour with only a couple of issues- day 1 arrival in Tokyo was a little stressful and confusing with no check in and no time to even catch breath from plane and bus to the "tour". Just needs some explanation as to what was happening. Also transfer to Kyoto with hand luggage expecting us to walk around the station area for a couple of hours was difficult.
But the rest was wonderful and the selection of places to go very good- the guide was superb and hotels buses etc excellent- it gave us some time on our own to discover things rather than being guided every inch of the way. I would do another Bunniks if the occasion arose!

Well organised tours with good information from guides, however it would be good to build in more free time and not have the days so jam packed which was the case in my latest trip to japan
