BT Mail app
BT Mail app - Same issue since 11th January 2023. Emails keep disappearing from my inbox. I have to keep reinstalling the BT app. (Email works fine on laptop). Really inconvenient when you've placed an online order and you have to reinstall the app in the shop to get the confirmation / collection email. I did receive a response that the matter would be looked into. However, no change.
Hopeless Email App
I've been with BT since they started providing broadband and have no complaints with that. My complaint is with the email app that I have installed on my google pixel 6 and Chromebook. On my phone it keeps on hiding emails which still show on my chromebook or if I use the web. In addition on both my phone and chromebook it will not download attachments it just says either download failed or no software to open the file. However when I use the web it downloads them perfectly. Why? To say this is inconvenient is an understatement. I recently went to print a label in a shop using the email I had received but the email wasn't there so I had to come back home and print the label off my chromebook. Elsewhere on social media many others are calling the app at best useless and like some of them I am likely to migrate to gmail over time which will mean I will be likely to ditch BT as my landline and broadband provider, unless the service improves
A dreadful email
A dreadful email, beware!
Slow, downloads new mail interwoven with previous mail, out of order, limited slow delete system, spam indicated mail inconsistent, send mail often deletes, it is very disappointing. Experience is over the last year!
Incompetent service and diabolical communication
In March we connected with BT Openreach to install Fibre to our new build property. Fibre is available in the property next door. We’ve had 2 surveyors and 1 technician visit our property all who have said fibre connection is possible. After going to BT to request fibre at least 6 times repeating all the same information - the blame is always on openreach. When we call openreach the blame is on the provider - BT. We have spent 9 months and spoken to dozens of people and we are still no further forward. No one will take responsibility and help us. It’s as simple as openreach updating their system to say fibre is available - this is - after they have confirmed this is possible through both their surveyors visit - visits in both March and September. It would be amazing if someone could just take ownership and sort out this problem - but alas hours and hours of phone calls and months of stress we are q still no further forward. I have never come across such awful communication between two communication companies
Made promises not kept
It's now been 5 months and still no fibre optic promises promises now two days before due another text have a problem which again is rubbish 30 days more WHY its a disgrace BT do nit and have NOT kept there promises they say. My advice to anyone wishing to join BT DONT
DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACT WITH THEM
DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACT WITH THEM!
Sooner or later, you will regret your contract!
I am offline since 11th of November. I am paying £50 per month for Full Fibre 900 and in the last 10 days I have been treated like a child being constantly promised that I will have an engineer set to my place to fix my problem.
I had one engineer on the 12th to tell me that they are not experienced enough to sort out my problem and since then I have been in contact with bt everyday of last week and each time they told me that they are sending someone tomorrow to fix my problem.
To this day nobody showed up. Even more so, the only viable solution for me to have internet connection is to pay them 30£ more per month to get an even better package - which I agreed on (this is how desperate I am for internet because I work from home) and they haven't been professional enough to deliver that either.
The moment I told them I want out of the contract, they were fast to remind me that I cannot get out because I will have to pay them. I will have to pay them even if they are not providing the service.
At this point I want to tell everyone how bad they are but surprise surprise - they do not have twitter or LinkedIn because of course they do not want people to know how bad of a provider they are.
DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACT WITH THEM!
Avoid, big fees
Unfortunately we have had consistent issues with broadband, upload speeds next to zero despite complaints to our service provided. It has gotten so bad we have moved to a different provider, only to receive a bullying letter and a huge fee for "betraying our contract" despite the fact the contract has been consistently broken by poor service. The monthly fee was very high considering our slow internet, and we were offered faster speeds for an extra £10 a month despite clarifying the fees were too high to continue. We have been with BT for twenty years and today we have finally pulled the plug. They treat their existing customers with little regard. The customer service team are good and patient but the issue arises from the company themselves. Avoid like the plaque and do not enter into a contract.
BT Mail has got steadily worse
BT Mail has got steadily worse. Particularly annoying as it is my long time historical emaill address so I am paying £7.50p per month for something that is slow and unresponsive.
On a laptop or desktop the inbox can take a minute to load. If I delete a mail it can then take another minute to reset the inbox.
If you have any choice at all nowadays NEVER use a btinternet mail address as your main email.
The people in charge of this at BT Mail must all be working from home and spending every day doing nothing much at all.
Utterly useless
Utterly useless, I’d give this minus 10 stars, I’ve not been able to log in for 2 weeks, each time I try my password isn’t recognised, changed it, still doesn’t work, previously a few years ago I contacted the ceo of BT to complain, it did work, but these days I can’t be bothered with the hassle. Sod it.
Extremely grateful

Too many SPAM sick of Blocking and…
Too many SPAM sick of Blocking and Deleting every day.
As soon as my contact is up I am changing my broadband
I have had BT super fast broadband for…
I have had BT super fast broadband for over 5 years and never had any problems. It’s definitely not the cheapest on the market but it’s a billion times better than some of the past internet providers I’ve used.
My internet speed is really amazing, it only once went down in 5 years but they did quickly get me back up and running. I just want to point out, the reviews are so bad here but I do believe it’s only that people usually only write a review when they are unhappy. It’s definitely not a fair reflection of how they are to all their millions of customers.
rubbish wifi connection
I made a huge mistake by switching from virgin to bt broadband.BT wifi is terrible. I've got superfast internet which is 500mbps and I am only getting 5mbps. no matter how bad the service is but the payment was taken right on time without any hesitation.
Email absolutely dreadful
Email is HORRENDOUSLY slow & the layout is ARCHAIC. Whoever programmed/designed it needs sacking! It puts blue lines down left hand side of received & sent emails, it changes layout when you send it. If I set up a new sub-folder, I cannot move anything to that folder via the "Move" option as it does not appear in the list. I have to go back to my inbox, find the folder & then find the email & drag & drop it into the folder. This is MADNESS & this is just a few of the problems, The list is endless. BT know that if you changed to another provider you would eventually lose access to all your emails & if you use it for business that is not an option. It is as though they just don't care.
BT!!!
BT!!!. Absolutely disgraceful Internet provider.
They make false promises and tell lies...
Worst email provider you could have
Worst email provider you could have in this modern day and age. Dealing with its incompatibility with iPhone mail, its constant glitching and logging me out...etc...etc...has taken probably hours, days, and weeks off my life to this minute.
Dreadful broadband service
Dreadful broadband service. Intermittently worked.
Too expensive and customer service is not great.
I have dumped them and now use a sim card router which is dependable, no contract over 1 month .
Delighted to have dumped BT.
New contact price hike
Just took a new contact out for my internet and given a price only to find a price increase again ther was no mention of this when they were selling it so now it’s made it a lot more expensive than other suppliers and I thought that was bad safety say I will not be renewing with but ever again
Complete shambles.
Another price increase, and Btmail’s worse than ever more spam and junk mail ,messages all jumbled up, what are we paying for?
