cost explosion for non-delivery

Hello, our interaction with bsp was horrible. We wanted to do a trip from Nürnberg to Prague and needed a 7-seater for that. At the pickup, however, they didnt have the booked car on anything that size. The whole trip was endangered so we booked a cost-intensive alternative at a local rent-a-car. bsp is definetly responsible for the cost-explosion, but refuses to pay anything back. Absolut worst-case - thanks bsp

I collected a car that was 3/4 full of…

I collected a car that was 3/4 full of petrol, and returned it 3/4 full of petrol. However, the car hire company charged me for petrol, claiming incorrectly that the tank was full when I collected it. I have photographic evidence (timestamped and geolocated) to prove this is false. Despite this, almost two months on, I have received no response to my complaint or refund.

5 weeks and still waiting on the return of my 700 Euro deposit!!!!

I am thoroughly disappointed with my experience hiring a car from this company. I paid a €700 deposit at the time of hire, and although I returned the vehicle in perfect condition, the deposit has still not been returned more than five weeks later. I was assured the money would be refunded promptly, but that has not happened, and I have now been forced to raise a case to try and get my money back.

This level of service is unacceptable and extremely frustrating. A deposit of this size should not be withheld without explanation. I would strongly caution others to think twice before using this company.

Awful avoid at all costs.
I booked a car at Olbia airport, but was told on arrival that it had been cancelled as we had arrived 2hrs after the car was booked for. This was never flagged at any point of the booking. They then tried to sell me the same car for an extra 500 Euros. This happened to a number of people on the same flight, the staff were incredibly rude, and took obvious delight in this scam. It's taken over 2 weeks to get the money back for the original booking, and they've charged me a cancellation fee. I'm now looking at legal options for compensation. Will never use BSP, or Noleggiare again. As far as I'm concerned this was both fraudulent misselling, and extortion. I've never had this with any other car hire company.

Rented a car in Thessaloniki

Rented a car in Thessaloniki, came to the office and was received by a very unfriendly employee.

I had a working credit card (paid with it on my flight) , but the device in the office didn’t issue a deposit onto the credit card. Confirmed with my credit card company again, that no deposit was issued and the credit card was indeed working.

The employee tried to sell me a 400€+ additional package which I didn’t take and had to take an uber to my apartment, because they refused to try their other device.

Because of my friend arriving 3 hours later we had to take 2 different Ubers costing 60€ in total.

I have been trying to get my money back for the “no-show” fee as well as a refund for the Ubers, but the rental office keeps telling them that my credit card wasn’t working.

Stay away from this shady business and customer support. They cannot be trusted with anything…

NEVER AGAIN

We rented a car for 0:15 at Lisbon airport and when we came to the car rental it was closed as the sign said, since 20h. Office hours are from 8am till 8pm. I do not understand, how they can agree to an online request for a car at 0:15 if THEY KNOW upfront, that there will nobody at the reception. Anyhow, besides being dumped in the middle of nowhere at night, we are writing since to BSP and we receive the most impertinent answers. Horrifying customer service. Contact me for more details.

Not expensive but 2 times we take them…

Not expensive but 2 times we take them with full insurance to avoid issues and 2 times we have problems. Before that more than 20 locations around the world and no issues. Seems the car renters you choose from BSP is seeing you have a full insurance and charge you as much as they can (little scratch not seen at inspection for 600€, mechanical issues...) even if you are not responsible. Last issue cost us 2000€ not taken by insurance because it's mechanical issue even if we proved we are not responsible. And BSP is not replying at all they just don' care.

Awfully, insane expensive thinking you LL have a great treatment and then they did not reply to any email. If something happens good luck because they ll vanish.

I booked a car via BSP Auto for pickup in Lyon and drop-off in Geneva. The price initially seemed fair — but when I arrived at Europcar, I was told there was an additional fee of over £600 for returning the car in Geneva. This charge was not shown in the BSP Auto pricing or booking summary, but buried deep in the rental conditions.

Also, the car I was offered not a Peugeot 208 or similar as advertised — it was a lower category vehicle with fewer features.

Be careful when booking through BSP Auto. The price you see may not reflect the true cost, and the car offered may not match what’s promised.

I booked a car rental with BSP-Auto for pickup on a Sunday afternoon at Venice Marco Polo Airport, only to be hit with an unjust €51.00 surcharge for “out of service hours.” This charge is not mentioned in the Terms and Conditions, which is completely unacceptable. I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of this company to avoid these unfair and unexpected fees. It's essential to choose a rental service that operates transparently and fairly. Your hard-earned money deserves better treatment.

Avoid BSP-Auto and Autocanova – Unfair charges and zero customer care

We had a very disappointing experience booking through BSP-Auto and dealing with their rental partner, Autocanova. Due to an honest mistake, we booked a car at the wrong location. When we arrived to pick up the car, the Autocanova staff were unhelpful, dismissive, and made no effort to assist or offer any reasonable solution. At first, they offered us a car at nearly double the original price. When we questioned this, they abruptly claimed they had no vehicles available at all.

They told us we had 24 hours to cancel the booking, but when we contacted BSP-Auto just minutes after the scheduled pickup time to explain the issue, we were informed we would still be charged the full “no-show” fee.

We were advised to email BSP-Auto to request a waiver of the fee, but their response completely ignored the context of the situation, including the poor handling by their rental partner. They simply confirmed that they would charge the maximum amount, with no flexibility or consideration.

This experience was not only unfair, but also reflected a total lack of customer care. There was no empathy, no accountability, and no effort to resolve the matter in a reasonable or professional way. We felt dismissed and disrespected throughout the process. Based on this experience, we cannot recommend booking through BSP-Auto or renting from Autocanova.

The worst company ever

The worst company ever ! I used them several times. The absolutely do not care about their clients but only about making a transaction. I booked with them at Flizzr car rental in Nice and then immediately received order confirmation from them that that the rental is with SIXT/FLIZZR. I was shocked. I do not rent from SIXT because they tried to overcharge me on one occasion and I told them I will never rent from them again(and in return they banned me from renting with them). So I immediately cancelled this booking and made a new one on BSP auto which is even more expensive. However I was charged 50 GBP for cancellation of the one with FLIZZR although it was cancelled within 5 minutes of booking for the reasons mentioned above. Phone rep doesn’t know if there is anyone in their London office which is really dodgy and said they are in Paris.
