I purchased one print and one painting, for a total of 10,300 DKK (Eur 1,380). The transport charges were an additional 8,925 DKK (Eur 1,200). It is said that you can arrange your own transport, but in practice that is impossible. By any standard, this is an outrageously high price, negotiated by the auction house, at the huge expense of ordinary clients. Never again.

I have been a customer for a year and buyed several artworks and the first time y had problems, the customer cervice was so poor.
they erase a 28 % procent for nothing
Catawiki only 9 % and the customer service is 5 stars.
I never will use B R again.

Whilst BR has improved their website and had a record financial year in 2020, it is clear customer service is not their focus for buyers and sellers with items on the lower end of the price scale (under DKK 20,000). Customer service was poor on site in Havnen and their employees seemed more interested in getting home than ensuring the customer was taken care of. They will lose more customers in the longer term if they do not improve their service level. Plenty of room for competitors to enter the market.

They set too low prices so the product is guaranteed to be sold so they get their commission.
Feel free to buy but sell via another channel.
Challenging to book an appointment for a physical item examination by a dedicated specialist at the BR Cph office during these corona times. Sure, we can all comprehend that. The office encourages online examination as alternative. However, turnaround time for email queries is frustratingly long (weeks) and typically require one or more reminders. Subsequent correspondence is equally lingering. Is there too little competition in the Danish auction market for upscale items?
I bought a jewel on wednsday night auction.
I paid it on thursday morning.
It has been delivered on friday afternoon.
Item is matching picture and accurate description.
Bidform shows hammer and shipping fees.
I am very pleased,it is was a GREAT experience.
Avoid this auction house!
BR is priding itself of being the oldest and most distinguished auction house in Denmark. In reality it is a bunch of unreasonable and arrogant barkers.
You will experience bad service from the moment you engage with them until you eventually part ways with them. Why:

I have recently purchased a "Dirks" gold set. When i picked it op, i realized that the necklace was not made by dirks due to the lack of dirks halmarking (stempel).
I took it to dirks jeweller and they confirmed my doubts that was in fact NOT a dirks necklace. They did not make it!
I returned the necklace to bruun rasmusen and told them that dirks told me it was not made by them. After few days, i was shocked to see that they put it for sale as a dirks!!! Total scam!
I was on the phone with them regarding another matter and the phone operator was so rude and kept interrupting me that i actually had to tell her, can i finish my sentence before you interrupt and say no!!!
Very bad experience all together!!
Very fast delivery and good item descriptions. I have been a customer for years and never had any problems with them.

I only had good experiences with Bruun Rasmussen. They have been processional and trustworthy when it comes to those auctions that I have bid on.

For a medium size picture 50*60 cm they charged 105 euros and not even with insurance to finally getting my package totally damaged and with broken glass. I was lucky enough the paint was not too affected otherwise I would consider myself literally ripped -off
I would highly recommend anyone to avoid doing any kind of business with them.
