Extremely poor customer service after purchase
Purchased a Honda CR-V from Bristol Car Centre in December 2025. Within days I discovered corrosion on the inner tailgate lip and water ingress into the spare wheel well.
The vehicle was supplied with a signed approved preparation checklist stating there were no issues, including no water ingress. An independent inspection later requested by Rob Buckland confirmed corrosion and water ingress were present at the point of sale, along with concerns regarding previous body repairs.
What disappointed me most was the way the matter was handled afterwards. Despite the signed checklist, I was repeatedly told I “should have spotted” the issues myself before purchase. I was also offered what I considered to be a very low contribution towards repairs despite the defects and evidence provided.
Communication throughout was frustrating, with responses largely coming through a legal firm, Lawgistics, rather than being dealt with directly. What should have been a straightforward resolution turned into months of stress, chasing, and ultimately an MCOL claim just to get the matter addressed.
As a family with a SEN child, this caused unnecessary financial pressure and worry after spending thousands on what we believed was a properly prepared family vehicle.
The matter has now been concluded, however based on my personal experience I would not purchase from this dealership again.
