UK Aftersales Non-Existent – Beware!

I purchased an M1 mini vacuum via Amazon some time ago – seemingly ideal for inaccessible areas in the car. The product seemed fine, but I didn't use it that often. A few years on, and the unit kept powering down after a few seconds. I checked out the product reviews, and I was not alone. Meanwhile, Brigii appears to have decamped from Amazon, and I cannot now write a product review. I contacted customer service, enquiring about an out-of-warranty repair service. They advised that I clean the filter. I did but to no avail. They then disclosed that there were likely multiple issues and could offer a considerable discount in lieu of warranty if inside the US. When I confirmed I was not, they replied pretty bluntly that they were unable to help me. The likely issue is a degraded lithium battery, which is an occupational hazard over time. These things need a tech repair and cannot be swapped in and out by a DIY bod. Be warned that this is a brand that has scarpered from aftersales in the UK, so you'll be high and dry if your purchase runs into difficulty. Not worth the money, aggravation, or sense of loss. It is however the right shape to return if the occasion arises, suitably unlubricated.
