I need to make this post for bridesmaid dresses .
Bridesmaids by jb . I saw some negative posts on here and also trust pilot about delays . I fell in love with my bridesmaids dresses and I contacted them about the negative reviews. They were very honest with me and said basically they took on too much. They’ve taken a step back and have reviewed how many orders they can realistically handle . Despite the negative reviews I trusted them . And im so glad I did . The dresses are beautiful. The quality is out of this world . They turned up in packages and I swear there is not one crease in either dress ! I cannot recommend them enough ! Uk business , had some negative reviews but I need to tell you they’ve fixed it ! Outstanding!

Let me add they turned up 4 weeks earlier than the date given . Honestly I cannot fault them !

Just a number


I hate to have to write anything negative, particularly about a small business but I can’t help but feel so let down by this company.

Myself & my bridesmaids made the round trip from Newcastle to the showroom in May 2025 for my end of October 2025 wedding. I’d booked an appointment to try dresses on after I had placed my order in the Black Friday sale 2024 so that the girls could get a feel for the dresses and styles rather than looking at images - whilst everything seemed ok at our visit we were told latest mid September we’d receive the dresses. The dresses didn’t actually arrive until 2 weeks before my wedding. I chased this up via email and luckily I finally got notification to track my delivery by Royal Mail because still to this day I’ve never received a reply to my question. It seems like once the dresses have left the shop they don’t care. The dresses arrived, one of my bridesmaid had hers altered, one arrived with a click in it at which point I’d lost all faith in the business I just left it as my bridesmaid said she was ok to hide it. The sheer lack of communication and limited information has really let me down and I’m so gutted I couldn’t give my bridesmaid the fun experience of dress try on, without any stresses. The dresses fit and my girls all said they felt comfortable which at the end of the day is my priority but I honestly just wish I’d gone elsewhere. Had I of seen the reality of things on social media sooner I would’ve cancelled my order, but instead they delete all negative comments on any social media platform.
The basic, generic apology put into my parcel & a social media post felt like more of an insult than anything else. I don’t think this business care for anything other than number of orders and money, the lack of service is completely disheartening when they are a brand used for weddings. When I look at the service I’ve received from other wedding vendors this company is below par. It appears some people were offered refunds, yet I can’t even get a reply to an email.

I can only hope they do better for 2026 brides and onwards.

Gorgeous dresses and a personalised service

I wanted to share a positive experience from when I was a bridesmaid for my friend in July 2025. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more from the service we received from Bridesmaid by JB.
We had an appointment for our group where we looked through the styles & shapes that suited each individual bridesmaid. The girls were helpful and on hand to pull out alternatives when needed to help us find a perfect fit.
Our dresses arrived with plenty of time for us to try on before the big day with all measurements & length exactly as expected.
All 4 of us felt so amazing and comfortable in our dresses and recieved SO many compliments on how gorgeous they looked on the day.
I appreciate that other customers may not have had the same experience in recent months but I can hand on heart say that ours was smooth from start to finish.

Beautiful dresses but disappointing experience

Unfortunately we had the same experience as all of the other reviews, but I was not offered a 10-15% refund at all which it seems others received. I spent nearly £700 on the dresses.

We didn’t have a good experience at the show room - the young girl was not very friendly and it wasn’t what we were expected. You can only try on what they’ve got in store too- so I wanted all my bridesmaids to try on a yellow one shoulder fish tail dress, but they only had it in green, in a size small. So some bridesmaids could try it on in green but not all, then we just had to imagine what it would look like in yellow… we assumed we’d be able to try on whatever dress in whatever colour and size! So the first time I actually saw my bridesmaids in their dresses was on the wedding day.

The day after I received an email with a confirmation of my order which said I must reply in 24 hours if anything is wrong as it can’t be changed. Thank goodness I saw the email because the whole order was wrong!

Unfortunately our dresses were delayed too and were received 3 weeks before the wedding in the end. This was stressful because my bridesmaids lived all the country and some were on holiday etc. As another person said below, they said they had posted them next day delivery but appear to have just created the shipping label as I was trying to track it with Royal Mail and it said it hadn’t been received yet. I then got them 4 days later.
When they arrived, the dresses were beautiful but two dresses were too long and had to be altered.

It was such a shame, but i do have to say that my bridesmaids looked incredible on the day and the dresses are really beautiful. I’ve given a generous 3 stars just for this reason! We couldn’t find dresses as nice as these anywhere else.

I do appreciate it is a small business and that these things happen, and I was very understanding of this, but I should have been offered a partial refund at the least.

I know Toni and the girls are aware of the issues and I do think these will all be sorted going forward and that things will improve! Once this is the case and they have the correct systems in place, I would still recommend bridesmaid by JB because the concept of it works and the dresses and styles really are beautiful.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful dresses and great customer service!

We did have an email about delays, but we were kept updated throughout.

When my Mother of the Bride dress arrived, the measurements were completely off — it honestly felt like the wrong dress! I messaged them straight away on Instagram, and they couldn’t have been more helpful. My MOB went back to the shop to be remeasured, and they expedited a brand-new dress within a week (just before my wedding in Ibiza!). It arrived on time and was absolutely perfect.

When we were first measured, my MOB requested a lower back on her dress, which we were told wouldn’t be a problem.

However, when the dress arrived, it hadn’t been lowered — and I later found out it couldn’t be due to the stitching. That’s completely understandable, but I do think the girls taking measurements should be aware of these limitations.

My maid of honour’s dress also needed to be shortened slightly, which I expected with handmade dresses. We found a seamstress who sorted it for £40 within a week, so no major issue there — just added to the pre-wedding stress a bit!

Despite those hiccups, the dresses were absolutely stunning. All my girls said they were the nicest dresses they’d ever worn, and everyone commented on how beautiful they looked.

I wasn’t offered a partial refund for the MOB issue, which might have been nice, but the way the team handled everything so quickly and professionally made up for it.

Communication was excellent — they always replied to my emails or Instagram messages promptly, and I could tell they genuinely cared.

Yes, there were stressful moments, but everything was resolved and the end result was perfect.

Would I recommend Bridesmaid by JB? 10000% yes.

Probably avoid...

Sadly my experience at bridesmaid by JB was not at all what we hoped for…

Firstly, I absolutely hate writing bad reviews. However I feel like the business really didn’t live up to the instagram perfection shown and has caused so much worry on the lead up to my wedding.

We arrived to our appointment really excited, there wasn’t much excitement by the staff when we walked in. The girls were all sat down and made to share with the group their dress size, which made some of my girls feel really uncomfortable as this was the first time some of them have met. Information like dress size, colours and dresses they like could have been requested up front so this was all prepared, and we could have enjoyed the trying on part more, which felt a little rushed.

One of my bridesmaids was on a weight loss journey. She told the seamstress not to take any of her measurements, just height, as she would be ordering a size M but this was not listened to. When going to place the order, it was ordered as per her measurements and not what we asked for. I was challenged about this when I asked for the dress to be made in a M. Had I have not challenges this we would have received a dress FAR too big! This dress in a medium ended up being massive anyway.

We placed the order and were assured they would be delivered in 12 weeks. On the 12 week deadline, I was informed there was a significant delay on mine (and it appears everyone’s orders) Meaning they would be delivered only 3 weeks before my wedding. This was not at all ideal given my bridesmaids are not local to me and I was worried at least one would need altering. We had all made personal plans around this and 2 of my bridesmaids were away until just over a week before my wedding, which left no time to try them on. This was just a huge amount of stress that was not needed. I was offered a 15% refund eventually, and Toni offered to ship the dresses to my bridesmaids directly which was much appreciated. However this just doesn’t take away the let down of the overall experience. I was offered to cancel my dresses but this wasn’t an option only 6 weeks before my wedding when my entire colour scheme was matched to them.

I’m really disappointed that I wasn’t told prior to my dresses due to be delivered, that bridesmaid by JB were delayed with all orders and had taken on too much. I feel like this could have been dealt with sooner, as they would have known within the first few weeks they were behind on orders.

Finally, I was promised my dresses would be shipped next day delivery latest 11th Aug. I received shipping confirmation on 11th, however they weren’t shipped at all, and only a shipping label was created. The staff told me the dresses had left them and were on their way when I questioned why the tracking hadn’t updated, but this was a lie - they hadn’t shipped them at all. At this point, the email correspondence stopped. The following day, the day I was suppose to receive them, the tracking updated stating no-one was available at bridesmaid by JB when Royal Mail tried to collect. They were then posted to the parcel shop later that evening. Sadly 2 of the dresses arrived too late for my bridesmaids to try so have had to frantically sort alterations out for one on her return, a week before we leave for the wedding.

I have given 2 stars because some of the dresses are absolutely beautiful! However 2 of the dresses were so tight these 2 struggled to eat and sit down in them... they both ordered the standard size S as what they tried on in store, however the dresses fit nothing like this. These 2 bridesmaids didn't gain an inch either.

Would I recommend bridesmaid by JB - no. If the cost was less - maybe. I don’t feel like the experience lived up to the hype at all and the premium price point of over £150 a dress does not reflect the experience we had. The store expereince was so so disappointing. The only positive is that half of the dresses are perfect. Whilst I do appreciate everything Toni did to try get them to me sooner, I feel like further issues during shipping, ruined this experience further.

Shocking experience with Bridesmaid by…

Shocking experience with Bridesmaid by JB. They made the build up to my wedding very stressful.

Firstly, the dresses were delayed and I was told they’d be delivered a month to 3 weeks before my wedding. After reassuring me that they’d be delivered no later and I shouldn't need any alterations, they arrived 2 weeks before my wedding. All 4 dresses were too big, long and marked. I then had to have one of my pregnant bridesmaids travel 2 hours to get the bridesmaids sorted. There was no remorse and the customer services was shocking throughout this whole process.

After multiple times of contacting the owner, I was contacted and offered a 10% refund for the trouble this caused me. Although this didn’t change the fact this caused me so much stress and upset, I accepting this offer, however I was then completely ignored and I have yet to hear back regarding this.

Really disappointing experience throughout.

Extremely Disappointed

Extremely Disappointed – Poor Customer Service & Misleading Policies

My experience with Bridesmaid by JB has been nothing short of frustrating. I contacted them on three separate occasions for assistance with alterations to my dress due to weight loss, and each time I was refused help. I was told outright that they do not facilitate alterations for weight loss — despite their own terms and conditions clearly stating otherwise. It was only after I pointed this out to them in black and white that they agreed to alter it. Then subtly amended their T&Cs, which is incredibly unprofessional and misleading.

Even more disappointing was the complete lack of involvement from the owner/manager when the dress needed a full remake. I was left dealing with a staff member who seemed underqualified and offered no helpful advice or support throughout the process. I expected far better service and guidance, especially for such an important occasion.

Our initial experience in the store was also underwhelming and did not reflect the highly curated image they portray on social media. Overall, I found the service to be dismissive, disorganised, and not customer-focused at all. I would not recommend this business based on my experience

Proceed with caution

Firstly, the dresses were amazing, my bridesmaids looked incredible and they were very good quality. They were all a little long when they arrived but they all looked great!

However!!! The communication and service of this company was really poor. I ordered my dresses back in April 2025, with the thought they were going to take 12-15 weeks, so therefore meant to come mid July, leaving a good month and a half before my wedding. Only when I emailed them did they inform me that there was a delay. I was informed they were going to come between the 11-17th August (3 weeks before my wedding). They did not arrive that week, despite them saying they would, they did not reply to emails until I had sent 3 demanding where they were! They were very apologetic and offered a partial refund but they only arrived 14 days before my wedding. The stressed this caused me before my wedding was unbelievable and I felt sad as I really wanted to support a new, independent company.
Luckily my dresses did arrive and they were gorgeous but it would put me off recommending them due to the stress it caused.
