I love shopping at Breuninger

I love shopping at Breuninger! I order everything online and the service is amazing! Returns aren‘t a problem at all and delivery is super fast.

No delivery or helpful service

Update 12.4: Been in contact with Breuninger and parcel was returned, finally had a good experience with their team.

I have been a satisfied Breuninger customer for many years, but today’s experience has left me disappointed.

I did not receive any delivery notification from Hermes regarding my order, only my order confirmation from Breuninger. Additionally, although I was at home at the point the package was said to be delivered, the delivery status indicated that my address could not be found, which is incorrect.

When I contacted Hermes, I was directed to Breuninger for assistance. However, when I reached out to the Breuninger customer service, I was told to contact Hermes again. This has left me stuck in a loop of calling around without any clear resolution or guidance on how to proceed. I was also unable to receive assistance in English before calling several times, which made the communication with Breuninger more difficult and very time consuming. Not at any point did the customer service team apologise for the inconvenience or show any understanding of the situation.

At this point I am left with an open invoice - but no package. I do not know how to receive my package or resolve the issue and is waiting for it to be solved and hear from Breuninger. This level of service does not suit a premium concept store like Breuninger.

Worst shopping experience in Switzerland

UPDATE:
Breuninger contacted me to tell me the return label which I used from their original packaging (sent from their own warehouse) ended up at Zalando’s warehouse and that I should contact Zalando myself to chase my package. I don’t even have words for this company. This company has no integrity. They told me they understand it’s frustrating and very inconvenient however they can’t do anything. Really? So no one in Customer Service can contact Zalando to chase the package???


This retailer might be the worst retailer in Switzerland. I returned a 420CHF order back to their warehouse with a return label that came with the original packaging. After not hearing back for a week, I reached out to them but they told me that the address on the return label was wrong warehouse and that I should figure out pulling out the package back and resending it to another warehouse of theirs. And the warehouse they work with -DSV - was equally unhelpful. I would highly advise against shopping from this retailer. After I told them that I had such a bad experience and started a national enquiry in Swiss Post, they didn’t even bother to respond to my email. It’s so frustrating to see so many positive comments in Germany yet horrible service in Switzerland.

Good stock selection and usually quite good customer service but the payment system for the Breuninger card is unnecessarily complicated. Please copy what Zalando do (link to pay with credit card) and would be SO MUCH EASIER.

CTTEXPRESS is a horrible corporating partner with DHL. They are extremely rude and non-professional!
