I don't know how I came to choose Breens Estate Agents, but it was one of the best decisions I made during what has been a long and sometimes stressful process.
My brother and I live in the North West, over 200 miles away, and we never met anyone from Breens in person. Despite that, they managed absolutely everything for us.
At the start, we were worried about how we would deal with viewings from so far away. Breens simply told us to post the keys and took care of the rest. Later, when the survey identified some work that needed doing, I assumed I would be trying to find tradespeople in Enfield from Manchester. Instead, Breens arranged for two contractors to visit the property, obtained quotes for us to choose from, oversaw the work and secured the property afterwards. We didn't need to travel down once.
There were many occasions like this throughout the sale. Whenever communication between the various solicitors became frustrating or unclear, Jack was always available, usually responding within the hour and helping to move things forward.
Pat also deserves a special mention. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble and he was always willing to help.
What sets Breens apart is not just their professionalism but their kindness. Selling a property from a distance while dealing with probate can be incredibly stressful, and having people who are friendly, approachable and genuinely helpful makes an enormous difference.
I can't recommend Breens highly enough. Sadly, I am unlikely to have another property to sell in the area, so I probably won't have the opportunity to use them again. If I did, they would be my first call without hesitation.
