We are so happy in our new home - everything has been finished to such a good quality and the service from Jason, Debbie and Karl has been amazing! Any teething issues were dealt with promptly and nothing was too much trouble! They have helped make a move an entirely positive experience and we couldn’t be more grateful! Very glad we decided to move as we love our new home and it really has been made completely hassle free thanks to the help of the team at bovis!

This is my first time buying a home and with such a big relocation from London-Newcastle I was really nervous it would be super stressful. Catherine the sales manager on site has gone above and beyond for us. Being unable to view the house as often as we’ve like, she’s kept us in the loop every step of the way, with pictures and texts. Catherine answered all questions promptly and clearly so we understood them. Even when we did come up to view the plot, Catherine was so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. The biscuit jar was always full for my in-laws. Thank you so much Catherine, I genuinely think this process would have been really difficult without you!
I’d recommend bovis homes to anyone buying a property.

Given misleading information about neighbouring properties- not what was expected
I bought a home from Bovis and have been very disappointed about my experience and how a serious concern has been handled.
During the sales process I was given clear assurances about the nature of the development and the surrounding properties which formed an important part of my decision to buy. This included assurances given by the sales team that the neighbouring properties would be privately owned. This was not turned out to reflect the reality.
When I raised this, the response was to rely on contract wording and say that no such statement were made, rather that properly addressing what I was told at the time. They have since confirmed that the neighbouring plots previously stated as privately owners were sold to the local council but maintain this isn't an issue and no mis-selling took place.
From a buyers perspective this completely misses the point. The information provided during the sales process directly influenced my decision and its frustrating to see it dismissed so easily afterwards.
The matter is now with CEDR for independent review.
Overall an incredibly disappointing experience. I would strong recommend that anyone buying from Bovis ensures that any assurances given during the sales process are confirmed in writing as they may no be acknowledged later.

Our communities are multi-tenure, meaning that we provide a mix of ownership models to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to call somewhere home. The make-up of our communities can change throughout the lifecycle of the development, to reflect the changing needs of the neighbourhood.
In the case of your community, some homes were privately sold to the local authority.
Our position remains that this does not alter the nature, specification, or value of your home, nor does it constitute mis-selling as our sales materials state that the layout landscaping and tenure of all dwellings may be subject to change through the course of the development. That said, we acknowledge your view that the assurances you believe were given influenced your decision, and we understand why this feels disappointing from your perspective.
As the matter is now with CEDR for independent review, it would be inappropriate for us to comment further on the specifics at this stage. We fully support the independent resolution process and will continue to engage constructively through the appropriate channels.
We do value feedback such as yours, and it is taken seriously as part of our ongoing efforts to improve transparency and communication throughout the sales journey. We regret that this experience has not met your expectations and thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.

Do not buy a Bovis home
Bovis homes are quick to take your money but will take forever to finish the final touches to the estate once all of the houses have been built. It has been several years since the last homes were built on the Haygate fields estate in Telford, and over a year since final resurfacing work commenced, but every few weeks the contractors pack up and leave as if they haven’t been paid.

Poor After Care Customer Service
Regarding Peterborough, Woodston Mews Development. I am extremely disappointed with the level of aftercare and customer service provided. A basic fixture within my property has failed multiple times within a short period under normal use, yet the issue has been repeatedly dismissed without proper investigation. Despite clear evidence that the problem is isolated to one specific installation—while identical fixtures in the same property remain unaffected—the company has chosen to attribute fault to tenant behaviour without any substantiated basis. This approach reflects a concerning lack of accountability and a failure to assess defects on their individual merit.
More concerning is the manner in which the complaint has been handled at a senior level. Rather than seeking a practical resolution, the response relied on generic assurances around product branding and internal specifications, which do not address the real-world performance failure experienced. The unwillingness to acknowledge or rectify an obvious issue demonstrates poor workmanship oversight and inadequate aftercare standards. Based on this experience, I have little confidence in the company’s commitment to quality or customer support and would strongly caution others to consider this before purchasing.
