The most sensible decision I made when deciding to move after 35yrs in one place was to choose Bournes, their dynamic team of movers (5 of them), got all of my belongings into 3 vans in double quick time an d then didn't mind the awful wait for keys, and then we got here, they were amazing! Even found a piece of wood to level up the Fridge Freezer and make sure it was working. They were fabulous quite frankly and I am so pleased I chose them.

Our experience was made all the better with the help of Bournes’ top men - Tom and Fred. Amazing energy, despite being short-staffed for the double move, polite and helpful. I was impressed at their professional attitude and think they are great ambassadors for Bournes.

I’d just like to thank Wendy and your crew again for moving our stuff into our new home, everything went smoothly with your crew and they arrived promptly at 0800 and had got to our new place by mid day! Absolutely no issues and events out of the crew’s and my control with no electric in the house for the mounting of the TV on the TV lift mechanism. We have managed to make the place feel a lot more homely and I would definitely recommend you to anyone and reduces stress with van hire, packaging and doing the disassembly, transport and put the furniture together at the end location myself would have been impossible.
If anyone is moving with heavy furniture I would recommend getting the full package service. All have been professional, very careful with belongings and polite. Will look to use you again in The future.

We were very happy to choose Bournes again after a very impressive job done three years ago. They didn’t disappoint, providing a brilliantly helpful and professional service from start to finish. We felt that their prices accurately reflected the amount of work to done and the three-day move was booked in with fuss.

The move was carried out by Robbie and Patrick who were complete stars and were always polite and careful with our stuff. They worked their socks off and moved us in, again without any problems. Such a great team! Highly recommend.

From the initial contact to the final move, the service from everyone on the team was excellent. I've used Bournes 3 times in the last 12 months and would thoroughly recommend them to make what can sometimes be a difficult & stressful time, smooth & straightforward.

We agreed 2 vans cos of very tight access in the new house. They turned up with one big one. They had underestimated how much stuff I had, so it would not all fit and I had to leave garden stuff I wanted to take, plus do a run to the dump with an armchair. Then they turned up at the new property with a small truck as well, in case they had to shuttle, so I could have brought everything. A simply dreadful experience.

Added 1st August. Bourne’s response totally out of order; there is no way they visited my new house to check the size of lorry, as it was a three hour drive away. Just trying to save face by telling porkies.

The team arrived on time and with smiley faces ! They were courteous and efficient and careful with our belongings.

Excellent service from the initial enquiry to my eventual move. Kirsty ensured that I was updated at every turn and the team who packed up my home were punctual, courteous and very efficient.

The Bourne's staff who attended the removal were efficient, helpful and reassuring. It will not be possible to fully judge the situation until I am moved into my new home, but to date I have found the experience satisfactory.

Absolutely brilliant, such helpful, friendly and efficient people who took alot of the stress away regarding the move. They packed the fragile items, which now unpacked arrived in excellent condition. They manoeuvred some big pieces of furniture around some difficult corners with ease, no scratches or scuffs on the walls or the items being moved. Nothing was too much trouble, they even made sure the beds were fitted back together.

Bournes were by far the best company that we contacted for our recent house move. They clearly care about their service, and were thoughtful and attentive throughout the process.

We appreciated the pre-move visit, and the attention paid to making sure that they were clear on the job we needed doing. The pre-move prep and communications were also great.

Service over the three days of our move was good. The guys were friendly and professional. They worked quickly and efficiently. Only one small issue with an appliance through the move, which will be covered by our insurance.

I've marked them down a star as we later found that some of our stuff had not been moved, despite being packed. Also some things that had been clearly labelled to stay in the old house did make it to the new one. As we've only moved down the road this isn't too important, but has we been moving a distance it would have been inconvenient.

We are moving internationally very often and this was the first time we were dealing with this company. Unfortunately, the experience was absolutely appalling. During the packing day, they missed out on clear instructions on what NOT to pack so we ended up shipping things we don’t need. But the worst part was that the packing was done extremely poorly resulting in multiple glassware broken, Christmas ornaments shattered, whiskey crystal decanter damaged and so on. As said, we are experienced in moving abroad, and we never had any damages occurring. I would understand and accept one item getting damaged. But more than 10?? This is a result of their negligence and absolutely carelessness. Will never use this company again.
