I have just paid £180 for a replacement door for my Bosch dryer. This is because the catch is broken. This catch is replaceable on some other Bosch models for a few pounds
Why is this acceptable?

My expensive washer dryer broke before the 2 year warranty expired. I was busy at the time and didnt get around to figuring out the problem and contacting them. I wont buy any Bosch product again. I thought i was investing in good quality but it is clear this is a thing of the past. Bosch didn't get in contact as their reply to this suggested.

Brilliant repair service under warranty. The nozzle on my Bosch easy aquatak pressure washer got stuck on to the lance. I sent it to the Bosch service centre for repair and they immediately sent me a brand new nozzle and lance for free! Excellent customer service on the phone too.
I bought a stapler which broke down. It was sent to their repair centre. They could not repair it so advised a new one would be sent within 5 days. It's over 2 weeks now and I don't have a replacement and none of my emails asking for help/advice have been responded to. Very poor service,
I'm now of considerably advanced age and have bought numerous very well performing Bosch kitchen appliances throughout my life and have always found them excellent. My fantastic Bosch tumble dryer expired last year after years of excellent service and I very naturally bought a Bosch replacement. This has proved from day one to be the most useless piece of junk ever (expensive junk at that) and in my view and actual experience utterly unfit for purpose. It is apparently operated on a heat pump basis. On the first week of use I thought it was faulty. I was told it was not. It fails to dry clothes adequately even if you have the wretched thing on the hottest heat for literally hours whereas it's previous incarnation was just superb. If you turn it on for a repeat performance it won't do it. I am furious that Bosch think it acceptable to sell such rubbish and very angry with the dire performance. To dry clothes properly I have to rely on draping them over radiators while this heap of junk rests unable to do the job it was bought for. I shall never ever buy Bosch again and feel completely cheated. It is like throwing money away and I can't afford to do that. Problem is ongoing re experience.

Purchased new Bosch Series 6 Dishwasher after the old Series 6 developed a fault after 10 loyal years. Was sent an invitation to Bosch Survey by email. I had hoped to share my opinion of the new machine. I was unable to express this in the survey as the questions were very limited and short. I felt the Bosch Survey was very biased in favour of Bosch. The new dishwasher appears of limited build and quality compared to the old one. The internal trays appear loose and stick. The machine gives the impression of poor build and quality. If I had viewed this a showroom I would not have made the purchase. I’m so disappointed in Bosch old machine was 10 years old and almost £200 cheaper.

This review relates to the series 8 washer dryer, and the service contract. We bought this washer dryer two years ago, and have had to call for assistance with breakdowns roughly twice a year. It finally stopped working altogether this year, and we had to wait a week for the service engineer to come out - we had paid for an extended warranty. I had sent detailed explanations of the errors when I contacted their customer care team. The engineer spent 5 minutes running a cursory systems check, stated the machine was fine, and left. On trying to run a cycle after he left, the machine would not run on even the one cycle it has previously limped through. The quality of this appliance is questionable to say the least, and let down further by the servicing.

Lawn mower broke down.
They asked to send it back to them, but of course, have no packaging box after 2.5 years.
They asking to me to ask neighbours, local shops or buy expensive box. . and I'm in wheelchair need to travel around town to get a box and then bring it home.
Here goes warranty...
Last time, I bought large item from Bosch as unable to get it fixed.

We bought the EQ500 integral bean to cup machine 04/02/26 the machine is displaying a message saying to clean the brewing unit, this has been done multiple times and still not working. We have reported the fault to Argos where the product was purchased who directed us to the manufacturer who has been extremally difficult to deal with.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

Bosch washing machine Serie 6, 2 years old. Extremely loud banging(like a brick going around) and won’t drain or spin. Booked engineer and he said nothing wrong with machine (he never took back of machine to look inside) it is load weight. Done many different load weights and still the same. Totally useless machine and engineer. Won’t ever buy Bosch again .
UPDATE 1… ive replied like you requested and heard nothing back from you
UPDATE2… customer service from Bosch said 6 days ago a customer liaison officer would be in touch. Still never heard from them
UPDATE3… 21/09 got phone call last week from Bosch asking to book appointment to fit new motor, new control panel etc . These things would show error code . And I have no error code. No mention of checking basic shock absorbers . Told them I’m waiting on customer liaison calling as washing machine no longer plumbed in. (As I had no choice but to purchase a new one and get it plumbed in) They said they would email customer liaison. No appointment was booked. But I get email today to say appointment cancelled. Honestly a joke of a company .
Thank you for below reply . But I’m not in talks with customer Liasion . I was told customer liaison would be in touch . To date I have not heard from them.

I deeply regret not using this forum before I purchased Bosch products.
I wanted to share some facts about my experience with others so that other potential purchasers are aware of the product and after sales.
Fact 1
I moved into a new house in late May 2026 and purchased all Bosch appliances because of their reputation for quality and service
Fact 2
On 26 August (3 months after moving into this new house) the Bosch fridge freezer stopped working.
Fact 3
I lost over £100 in food which was stored in fridge and freezer.
Fact 4
After contacting Bosch I heard nothing for 2 days and had to ring three times to get an update on progress re replacement of appliance/fix.
Fact 5
The Bosch Engineer arrived 2 days later and confirmed Board that drives condenser had broken and it was likely to take 5-7 days to get the part.
Fact 6
Since that point I received no communication in any form Bosch for 7 days despite calls and prompts to Customer Services to get a progress report on replacement/repair.
Fact 7
On Thursday 3rd Sep I eventually made contact with customer service team who after several transfers indicated they would speak to Area Sales Manager about Replacement Appliance and get back to me via a phone call within 24 hours.
Fact 8
On Friday at close of play 16.42, they emailed instead of call they promised to confirm that they would not offer a replacement but fix the appliance with no timescale given for the fix.
Fact 9
This is their response to my request to replace the appliance as a way of restoring confidence having just spent over £4.5k on Bosch appliances.
"Whilst I understand that the content of this email may be disappointing to receive, we have to advise that if you do remain unhappy with the situation, your redress is with your retailer as this is who your contract of sale is with under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Please be aware that the onus will be on you as the consumer to provide evidence that the appliance was faulty from the original date of purchase".
Fact 10
The previous paragraph seems to be at odds with the Consumer Rights Act which states that only after 6 months the burden of proof is on you to prove the product is faulty.
So its Friday night 10 days after the fridge freezer stopped working and nothing but fine words from Bosch-no replacement/no compensation/no temporary fix-nothing but more calls and work for me as the customer.
Fact-Bosch advisor Peter responded to this review on Monday 7th but when I got in touch with him he wouldn’t speak to me because he only deals with Social Media. Customer Service it would appear don’t communicate with Social Media Team. This is supposed to be a reputable brand.

This is really frustrating, as despite making multiple calls to customer service, I am still waiting for my refund.
Really frustrating customer service experience.

This is the third Bosch dishwasher we have had, with apparent specialist drying technology, and it is the Second useless Bosch we have been unfortunate to own. Our first Bosch dishwasher lasted 10 years these last two a couple of years if, but they have never washed properly, never dried properly, and they leave dirt on all of the dishes that were not there when they went in, this is despite topping up salt and rinse aid, regular cleaning and general care and maintenance. I do not know what has happened to Bosch, but I suspect their quality German products no longer exist, and that they are manufacturing their products in cheap and nasty places. I would never buy any Bosch item ever again, we also have a tall freestanding fridge, that constantly leaks again a Bosch. Gone of the glory days, they are living off past goodwill and the best thing they could do is stop manufacture altogether and spare us all the shoddy products they are turning out.

Terrible, non-existent customer service for my washing machine. Phone doesn’t work, chat takes me in circles. Appalling.

Been trying for days to contact Bosch UK customer service about a problem with the manual for the Dehumidifier 1000. Great product, almost. Useless customer service. Website has been down for days. When I do get in touch with Bosch by email it's the wrong department etc etc and they refer me back to the customer contact service via a link, which you have guessed it, is unobtainable. It is very poor that not only is the website non functional but apparently Bosch can't fix it or don't know. Maybe lost in translation... Overall a load of time wasting bosh. Never mind. Other dehumidifiers are available.
I would strongly advise against buying this kettle.
I bought a Bosch Sky TWK7203GB expecting the usual Bosch quality and longevity. The kettle itself is still working perfectly. What has failed is a tiny plastic latch that holds the lid closed.
That single piece of plastic has effectively written off the entire appliance.
I contacted Bosch assuming this would be a straightforward repair: sell me the latch, sell me a replacement lid, or offer some sensible repair option.
Bosch has confirmed in writing that **neither the latch nor the complete lid is available as a spare part**.
Their solution is for me to pay to send the whole kettle to a workshop, where they will inspect an already obvious mechanical fault and only then tell me how much they want to charge to repair it.
I repeatedly asked Bosch to consider a goodwill solution. They refused, simply because the two-year warranty had expired.
That is an appalling approach to product longevity.
This is not a heating element failing after years of heavy use. It is not an electrical fault. It is a small plastic catch on an otherwise fully functioning appliance, and Bosch has apparently designed the product so that this essential component cannot simply be replaced.
The result is that a perfectly usable electrical appliance may now end up in the bin because of a tiny piece of plastic.
That makes Bosch/BSH's public messaging about sustainability, durability and repairability look extremely hollow.
The most frustrating part is that I deliberately paid more for Bosch because I believed I was buying a better-made product from a company that would support it properly. Instead, I have ended up with what is effectively a disposable kettle once one minor non-serviceable component fails.
Bosch customer service was also repeatedly evasive. It took several emails just to obtain a clear answer about whether the lid was available, and repeated requests for goodwill consideration and escalation were met largely with variations of “the warranty has expired”.
For anyone considering this model, I would think very carefully before paying a premium for it. The kettle may look and feel well made, but if the lid latch breaks, Bosch cannot sell you the part you need to put it right.
**A premium appliance should not become e-waste because of a tiny plastic clip.**
Based on both the product design and Bosch's response afterwards, I would not buy this kettle again and I would be very reluctant to buy another Bosch small appliance.
**** Updated in response to their reply
Thanks for confirming this publicly.
It is quite remarkable that Bosch is effectively acknowledging that an otherwise perfectly functional premium appliance can be rendered useless by one tiny plastic component that you neither supply nor offer a straightforward replacement for.
Your response also neatly demonstrates the level of after-sales support customers can expect once the warranty expires.
Thank you for making that clear for prospective Bosch customers reading the review.

UPDATED 3/9/26 Bought a Bosch fridge Freezer 9 months ago and the silver trim to the shelves in the fridge, has started to wear off in certain places already. Spoke to customer services and they basically just fobbed me off. Told me to ring the retailer and raise the issue with them and at the same time, told me that the retailer probably won't help me either and will tell me to go back to Bosch. Did give me the option to book a chargeable engineer appointment at £119 though. Not helpful and not the level of service or quality I would expect from Bosch appliance or the customer service team.
UPDATE
The social media team reached out and were very helpful and have provided an acceptable solution, so I have updated my rating above. Thank you!

If you looking to buy a Bosch dishwasher with a cutlery tray, DO NOT, reduces the internal space as detailed in the description, but not to the extent that you cannot stack properly , things that you could easily put on the tray where you previously had 2 racks do not fit, and the tray is an absolute pain to stack. Means lower tray is filled before you know it. Depending on the design of your bowls these get caught with cutlery tray and you have to position these on the first tray.
Looking to switch back to our original configuration if we can.
REPLY to Bosch: Yes I did adjust the height of the trays as per instruction manual, if you lower the middle basket, the bowls will fit in perfectly, but the plates on the lower basket hit against the back of the middle basket and you are unable to close the door, let alone get the baskets all the way in. Tried 2 different sets of plates, both have the same issue, certainly not buying a whole new set of plates.
As to the cutlery basket, not sure this can be removed, and given the cost of the machine, removing this and then purchasing another basket does seem pointless.
Did not see any reviews about these issues, all gave the machine glowing reports and reviews, guess they use doll house plates for eating off of.

Stupid fridge freezer icemaker won’t turn on unless you buy a brand new filter every 3 months if you just try to reset the filter because it’s clearly a money earning con - I hate them

we have a Series 4 Rechargeable vacuum cleaner Flexxo Gen2 28Vmax ProAnimal Red BBH3ZOOGB- What a rotten product. Flimsy plastics, and cheep electrical connectors. All the electrics failed within 2 months, and now the wheels have broken off. Their website is dead so I cannot book a warranty repair. but why bother we have a useless new fridge with them and are still waiting for a repair for that 3 months after reporting the fault. Not the company it was, and no longer a reliable name for quality manufacture.

Responded to their request for contact detials - even though they got my name wrong so clearly it was an automated response. No reply
