Although I find Bonham's registration to bid system a bit ponderous , as spposedly needed to thwart money laundering , when the value of items of interest to me are usually well below that threshold , on the whole I find Bonhams offers a first class auction service to buyers .

I have enjoyed a good experience bidding both online, first with a live auction room and then a timed auction. Bonhams systems work very well.
The lots are accurately described with good photography. Staff members are polite and very responsive. If your nerves can handle the excitement of bidding for auction lots using Bonhams Auction House is a good place to be.

The staff was helpful throughout the process. I do not feel that there was any dishonesty or inappropriate behavior. This was my first time working as a customer of an auction house and I would do it again with Bonhams without concern. Throughout the staff made the process easy for me.

I would give you five stars but don't want you to become complacent and the competition from rival sales companies is always going to be highly competitive and even downright fierce,. Bonhams pick excellent venues for their auction sales, the presentation of the sales is slick and efficient, the items for sale are often interesting, the back up staff seem helpful and the auctioneers are professional but in the main possess that essential ingredient, needed to get a sale going with a swing and that is a degree of humour and banter with the customers, without going over the top and resorting to bad taste. When my car topped the 2016 Festival of Speed Sale I had been advised by a shrewd "man in the Motor Trade" not to use Bonhams because "they are very arrogant" but a six figure sum in difficult times seems to have vindicated my choice of auctioneers despite alarming rates of commission for both purchaser and vendor.

The stuff are always helpful. Marina n Meg are brilliant. Always enjoy going to Bonhams, Knightsbridge.

Outrageous that your nice color catalogues are not always sent out to regular customers automatically.
