User-friendly and Nice
It is the best way to find new accommodation. However, you need to be patient to find your favorable house or apartment. That was the second time I was using Boligporal and fortunately I found a nice apartment. The customer service is perfect and the website is also user-friendly.

Positive experience
My experience with boligportal was very positive. I manage to find the place as I dream since I am moving with two dogs.
The site has very good options (although it is limited when you have dog) for rent and the contact with the landlord worked fine.
I recommend the site ;-)

I am glad to hear, you find the services helpful. Regarding your subscription, we state on the site that by choosing to start with the 24-hours introperiod, this will continue as four weeks' subscription. This is stated...
1) when you choose that package over the preselected four weeks subscription,
2) just before you complete the initial payment, either by card or mobilepay, and
3) in the reciept we sent you just after completing the initial payment.
You signed up Friday, for which reason the subscription was renewed Saturday at the same time of day and you registered 24 hours prior, and you cancelled the subscription Sunday.
I am sorry that you feel cheated. However, as shown above, we genuinely wish to help you make an informed decision before you sign up, and make sure to follow up with the same information in your confirmation sent by e-mail as well as on the subscription settings on your user profile.

Very bad portal to search for rental…
Very bad portal to search for rental accommodations. They ask for a whopping fee of 339 DKK (sic!) as a monthly subscription, just to be able to contact anyone on their portal.
The Ad‘s are largely outdated but not removed, which gives the false impression there might be a choice.
If you really want to waste money for a month subscription, don’t forget to cancel the subscription immediately because it would renew automatically

I can confirm that most landlords have not replied to you. However, most of your applications for the apartments are just a short text asking for permission to bring a dog, although the ads state that no pets are allowed. For many landlords, this qualifies you as unserious applicant, since your request does not match their stated requirements for tenants.
In general, we always recommend that you include a short personal motivation in your application incl information about who you are, as well as actively using the search profile to indicate your needs and wishes for your new home. This helps the landlords get a better picture of you as a potential tenant and vastly increases your chance for a fast and positive reply - as long as your criteria and wishes match the requirements for the tenant and options in the apartment stated on the landlord's ad.

The landlords in the Copenhagen area often get quite a lot applications and hence start out by contacting a handful of the candidates they can best see as potential tenants for their place. In some cases that was you, while other landlords may have started a dialogue with someone else, maybe before you wrote, and then wait to contact further candidates until they know if they are already able to make an agreement with one of the first candidates.
I understand perfectly well that you are hopeful waiting for a reply. when you find what might be just the right place. The landlords also want as swift a process as possible, and that means the fastest way to the right tenant by contacting a few candidates at the time rather than having a lot of ongoing conversations for the same apartment.

The app can be improved to include more details in the description of the property to make it easier and quicker for the tenant. For instance, if there is non-cancellable clause in the contract, the landlord should mandatorily mention the in the ad itself. This will expediate the process for both the landlords and the tenants. The portal can incorporate many new technological features and make things easier for the users

Congratulations on your new home. I see that you signed an agreement with a landlord, but I do not see any signs of a non-cancellable clause in this contract (which are not common in Denmark but do exist, often as on a timebasis of for example the first year). The standard cancellation is three months by seeker, while the landlord cannot cancel the contract with you on a time-unlimited lease, unless you severely violate the terms stated in the contract.

We don't believe in penalties but rather incentives. This is why we alert the landlords of new messages on minimum a daily basis and, in case the landlords fails to read these, follow up with specific guidance and - ultimately - a warning of inactivation of the ad.
We also know that most landlords start out by choosing a handful of candidates who, in their very first application, present themselves as potential renters, rather than replying to all from the beginning. I arrived to Denmark in 2021 and I have moved two times, about to move time number three. The reason is that my living situation has changed three times. I used Bolig Portal for the three moves.
The first time I was looking for a student room type of thing to move in with other students (priority was cheap price), the second time I was looking for a relatively small and relatively affordable flat as my husband joined me in the country (priority was location), and the third time we were looking for a two bedroom ample flat where we can be comfortable with our baby to come (priority was price and space).
From my experience, I can only say that Bolig Portal has worked perfectly, the filters are excellent, and I have found incredibly good landlords (the three of them were/are private landlords). I have signed the most recent contract through the Bolig Portal/MitID system and I found it super easy, efficient, and reliable.
I would totally recommend using Bolig Portal with the payment option - that is the only one I used, so cannot speak about the non-payment option.
As a tool I give it 5/5, but as any other tool it will not do magic for you, one has to have some basic internet savviness, understand how to best present to private landlords and agencies, be very fast in arranging viewings and replying, know your rights and responsibilities (CPR registration and so on) and be alert to possible scams.
I came across one scam which was quite stupid, as the person knew I was visiting a flat that did not exist - so it wasted my time but the risk was 0 as it was pretty easy to find out.
At the very beginning I came across some landlord cowboys that wanted to ask for high prices without the possibility of CPR registration, which is compulsory. I attributed that mostly to the fact that at that point I was a recently arrival foreigner and a woman, so there is a few that prey for that kind of profile if they are cohabiting with you, but that was a minority. I do not think that is nothing to do with Bolig Portal, it is just life.
Great tool and would recommend to anyone.

No e-mail about the monthly payments resulting in lost money
By pure luck looking at my bank statements, I could see that I was still paying to Boligportal. I am pretty sure I tried to cancel it on the 19th of January cause that was set as a reminder in my Calender (as I had already got an apartment I was no longer using the service). Why is there not any emails send out about this ?!? A real scam. For example google play subscription send out a mail every month about my google cloud subscription. So does my Swedish phone service.

We inform you of upcoming renewals on your profile, expecting that you use our platform for your housing search and then cancel when no longer needed. In the original purchase confirmation sent by e-mail we also alert you of the date and time of the first renewal to help you get an overlook - maybe based on this you set the reminder?
For most seekers we send out tons of e-mails regarding new relevant rentables and replies from the landlords, for which reason the payment receipts are saved on your user profile in the subscription settings, just as is the case for most online subscriptions, streaming services etc.
