Every single delivery from Bokus has been extremely slow. Usually at least a month to deliver a simple book. I can send and receive parcels from Australia in half that time. Avoid where possible.

Bokus is advertised by Mecenat so as a fresh student who needs books to study, I followed the link from student app and ordered what I need. It was stated finns I lager which means available in stock, yes? I ordered several books, for most of them delivery time was stated as 1-2 days, one was a bit more, 2-5 or sth, don’t remember. I also paid for the delivery within 1-2 days. I thought they would send books they have right away and the one with longer time later. However, after 10 days, when books were still not delivered, I had to ask for a refund as I couldn’t study like that longer and pay for printouts all the time. Refund was made the next day, which I find positive. I wish the management pays attention to these issues. As most students are unhappy with slow delivery and extra expenses while waiting.

Unfortunately, you cannot give 0 stars, it would be the quality of the company.
I have ordered 3 times there (all over 2022). What is appreciating being a full book store for swedish book, there is no one else do shipping to Europe.
The first time the order went well but the parcel brought in was completely ragged.
The second order, the shopping system did not find an address outside Sweden, so I have entered my private address despite the fact I'm on mission and far away from my home address. This time again, call the wrecked things a "parcel" is at insult to any correct packaging. The parcel shippers brought in the books one by one.
But the top was the order in October this year. I placed the order and than the shopping system changed the pickup store in Germany. Instead to the south-western desired (Saarland), the parcel was configured to Berlin after clicking "place order".
I have dealed with them by mail and after some check, the found out, that there might be a problem with the shopping system is changing the address. So I was thinking "great" and they have asked me if we could do a test purchase. I have asked them to waiting for the running order.
And what did they? Knowing the address being erroreanous, the sent the parcel to this (wrong) address despite all the discussion we had over 2 month.
Finally I have asked to close my account and I would not make a test purchase to test their corrected shop system because the third purchase I have lost over 40€ because they refund the SEK amount and illegaly wanted to not refund the shipping cost (yes, those one to Berlin).
Under this copndition you might be stupid to do test purchase on your own costs or place any order at them. But thge worst: Even when they are knowing, there is an error, they are not willing to correct this. Simply brainless behavior.
Do not purchase there
One month to receive a book supposed to come in 4 day. I had to have them send back the package cause it was lost the first time.
Once received the quality of the book is terrible and pages are falling appart.
Completely untrustworthy, totally incompetent on all levels.
I ordered a book on the 7th of October. It's now the 16th of November and it has not been sent. It's way past the date it should have been sent. Bokus, likewise Akademibokhandeln are subsidiaries of the same parent company. I already tried ordering the book from the latter. Same problem, but after one month and without notification they cancelled the order, reason: they actually did not have the book and could not get it. How can a company be managed so incompetently and the upper management still retain their positions and pay grade? Oh wait, that's right, the only people that need to be pleased are the investors, making sure they get their returns on underpaid wage labour and false marketing.
Slow and rude
Extremely slow delivery speed (not as advertised when you buy the book). Reaching out to customer service and they literally lie about how long it's been since I ordered in a passive aggressive tone

Books take easily double the estimated shipping and processing time to arrive. E-books are only available for 24 months and have a limit of 3 downloads.
It takes extremely long to get a book and books are not packed properly.
It takes extremely long to get a book. It seems they do not have anything in stock but order from somewhere else. Well, then I could myself also ordered the books from England and did not need Bokus! Now when I finally got the books they were damaged as well, they had just thrown them bare in a piece of cardboard without any protection. The customer service is equally surprising. This store seems like an absolute joke.
Worst digital and e-book solutions on the market
Buying physical books is fine (in Sweden), but their app and e-book solutions are terrible and borderline a scam (hence a 1 rating). The app is possibly the worst app out there and never worked for me. It's also impossible to directly download your e-book by pressing the designated 'download'-button. Instead you need to go about it in a very unconventional way. If you lack computer know-how, it's easy to buy an expensive e-book and then never being able to read it.
I would rate lower if I possibly could
I would rate lower if I possibly could. Ordered a book that was in stock. Got a mail after three days where they canceled my order saying they don’t have it stock anymore. That was a week ago. But, I checked a few times since then, the book is still in stock on their page. Just buy your stuff somewhere else, if the price is higher its still worth it. Garbage of a company.
Bad app, bad service
Bad service, bad app. Bought an ebook, tried all browsers Firefox, Explorer, Chrome. Switched off the firewall but could not download the ebook. Tried the app. Be careful this only works on old android versions! I could not zoom in on the pages, unreadable. So all in all. bought a book but cant read it. Service/replies unsatisfactory, no solution, no money back.
Awful digital editions
When buying digital books there is no information about them having a DRM protection. Thus I can't read my digital edition of the book I bought on my own e-book. The alternatives are) Read it on my computer with adobe tools or read it on my phone through their own app (of course).
Ridiculous that they sell these types of products without explicitly stating "You can only read your book in these very specific types of ways"
Of course there are no returns on digitally purchased books! Great!

Even got e-mail telling me they couldn't even manage to deliver within their overly long 15 day promise.
Incompetence should be punished, I wish ppl would stop ordering and paying scamming companies like these so they can vanish and be replaced.

Ordered a book that I needed urgently…
Ordered a book that I needed urgently to prepare for a project. I paid extra to have a faster delivery. The book was ordered on a Wednesday morning, but not shipped out until the following Monday morning and delivered the next day (Tuesday). The book was sent in a sturdy packaging but despite that the book was damaged in the lower right corner which leads me to think that the book was sent out in a damaged condition. The only thing they did right was to send the correct book. Next time I will order somewhere else. I might also request a compensation for the transportation costs and the damage inflicted on the book.
