Recently visited Bracknell branch which is now under new management. Really great food, great atmosphere and very friendly and efficient staff! Recommended!

WOW. This place is back better than before. The passion from the owners shows through in the food. The ribs were the best ever. Nice to go to a restaurant where you are served by people that are passionate about it not robots. Keep up the good work and the hot sauce. We will be back soon 😋

1 Star – Extremely Disappointing Experience

I was really looking forward to this meal, especially since I haven’t been out for a long time and had enjoyed this place before. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment.

The food was honestly awful. The brisket came out as thick slices of fat, the nachos just had what tasted like a bottle of powdered cheese dumped on top, the sausages were clearly reheated and rubbery, and the chicken wings were basically just bones covered in BBQ sauce.

When I raised my concerns, the manager refused to speak to me properly and just shouted, “It’s all free!” They only originally offered to take drinks off the bill, which felt dismissive considering the state of the food.

I left feeling really let down. I won’t be returning.

Been to this place a few times but sadly it seems to be going downhill very fast. The food was OK but just OK, in my opinion not worth the price point. As for the staff well, all I can say is managers are desperately needed. Seemed to be no leadership, walked in and waited to be seated as the sign at the door requests and even though there was about 4 tables it seemed the two staff members (we’ll name them R & A) were unable to even acknowledge us for about 5 or 6 minutes even walking passed us a number of times each. Finally ‘R came over and asked if we had booked when we replied no a deep sigh and then asked us to follow to a very undesirable table in the corner. After another 10 minutes another member ‘A finally took our order. Now keep in mind we ask for two cokes (in my opinion not a tricky drink to pour) but we had to ask after these drinks 3 times, and in fact the food arrived before the drinks!! When we mentioned this to ‘R, told us they would "get right on those" but then went and had a very long and load chat to another table and then wondered off!!!!!! so again we went to the bar and were finally given our drinks. We also had to source our own cutlery and condiments. Now imagine my surprise when after asking for the bill 3 times and finally getting the bill we have a 10% service charge automatically added!!!! Now I am all for giving a tip for good or even OK service but for almost zero service this is a joke!! And to add insult to injury we had to stand at the bar for a further 10 minutes trying to pay!!!!! I will never ever ever be back in this place, service is beyond bad. I wouldn't be surprised if this place is out of business in the near future.

Had a meal with my partner today here ..table boxes are filthy cobwebs in the mens toilets ... staff disappointing 😞 food was ok not worth the money for what we had ..I have being to many steak house this one in Bracknell is awful. glasses dirty to .. also someone was smoking weed out in the smoking area ..very very disappointing. Will not be returning...I will return to to my local smoke house ..witch is a five 🌟

Just not good.
Looks like it needs investment.
On table cutlery box you see, but has 2 x kitchen rolls with splattered previous dinners dinners on it.
Limited options on steak, those available were cheap Cuts at premium prices.
Staff good on reception but forgot us, we got up and left.
We wanted to support a local restaurant on Christmas Eve

The food here looks absolutely disgusting.
Today my dad ordered a hot dog, what they brought out was appalling it looked like they took bread and drowned it in a muddy swamp, put it on a plate and just called it a meal. For desserts i ordered a waffleicious tower to share with my mum, the brownies in it were tasteless and very crumbly it was very sickening me nor my mum could eat much.

Not particularly good and overpriced.
Loaded nachos for 11.50, half were broken and now I look back at the menu had no chilli or cheese pot!
Prawn salad for 7.50 had just 4 prawns!
Smokey platter for 24.50 pulled pork was wet and flavourless, not sure it had a king rib but had what I’m guessing was pork belly as was 80% fat. Had to order fries for an extra £4, staff did warn they were very small and they were! Wings were nice, albeit very tiny, 1/4 chicken was average. Link sausage was delicious which is the only thing lifting this to a 2 star rating.
Beer at 7.50 for 440ml whilst very tasty is overpriced.
Will not be returning as there are much better places to eat in Bracknell.

Went to the Bracknell one and it was okay. Staff friendly , but not very attentive so plenty of waiting to be served despite only a few people dining. Food was okay, but my “ultimate” brisket was dry and bland very disappointing especially as was £22. Also chewing gum all over the underside of the table is a bit gross. Disappointed and won’t be going back

visited Newbury yesterday mid day primarily went to do a pre visit to see if I would want to return for my daughters birthday in august. was greeted by a friendly waitress who informed me of the varieties of food as this was my first visit. and I can honestly say was not disappointed, food was prompt, hot and quantities were more than my belly could take. £30 was my bill for a drink starter and a main. so will definitely be returning in august with the daughter for her birthday.

Went to the bracknell restaurant this evening for the first time. Sophie was our server, she went above and beyond with the service. She made some beautiful cocktails for us including the old fashioned. Sophie was very attentive as spent time with us, discussing the history of the beautiful building that Is now blues smokehouse. She deserves credit for her knowledge and customer interaction. We will be coming back soon and look forward to a friendly welcome like today

I had the misfortune of going to the Newbury branch recently and was very disappointed. The restaurant was only half full and there was 3 waitresses but the food still came out barely warm. We complained and were told it was meant to be served that way. I ordered The Piggy Dog and it didn’t have the jalapeño jelly on it or any slaw or pickles. I was told the menu was misleading as the hotdogs don’t come with slaw or pickles. I did suggest that the menus were changed if that was the case as I couldn’t have been the first person to mention this. No apology for the missing jalapeño jelly. I definitely wouldn’t be able to recommend this restaurant based on my experience

I’ve eaten at Blue’s Smokehouse in Newbury a couple of times in the past and have been very impressed. Today, though was a different story. I ordered a home delivery via Deliveroo (first mistake). It took at least three quarters of an hour longer to arrive than was shown on the original order. Needless to say the food was cold. Not only that, the Jacob’s ladder that I ordered was as tough as old boots - i wouldn’t feed it to my dogs, it was that terrible. Complained to Deliveroo also, I won’t be ordering from either again.

Ate here yesterday 18th Birthday meal fantastic food plenty of it. Every meal superb. Service good. Would throughly recommend suitable for all ages.

Visited the Southampton restaurant and I was so happy we did. Lovely place, really friendly staff, amazing cocktails and delicious food. Even my incredibly fussy eater 7yr old son was impressed with his dinner - and that's not easy to achieve!
I thoroughly recommend the meat platter - absolutely delicious! And the Avocado and Lime cheesecake was a surprising winner.
Can't wait to visit again!

Be careful what you order....the portion sizes can be a bit generous. Lots of really good food. Always enjoy eating here. Went tonight for my daughter's 23rd birthday and we had a great meal. Friendly staff, too.

My son and his partner and I got the munchies one Saturday afternoon and without any preference decided to look around Newbury. We chose the Blue's Smokehouse - and WHAT A FIND!

We started with the Nachos. Outstanding! Fresh, large nachos with a topping of fresh grilled tomatoes and peppers. What an absolute change from the usual packet nachos with a bit of melted cheese thrown on that some places try to palm us off with. So far it was looking good!

For the main course I went for the "Mr President" burger. It arrived on a large tray with freshly made chips and the best coleslaw I've had when eating out. It had a crunch it was so fresh, not that usual stodgy junk most restaurants serve in a finger bowel - no, this was the real deal. And the burger - words fail me but I have to say it again ... OUTSTANDING! I was assured that everything was made fresh, and I had no reason to doubt it. It came with pulled pork, brisket & American cheese! Well done guys, again the best I've had as long as I can remember.

We finished with cheesecake and Key Lime pie and ice cream. You know what's coming ... outstanding! There was nothing to complain about in the entire meal. I came away with a smile on my face, and the price, who cares? You get what you pay for at the end of the day but I think it worked out to be about £30 per head, including drinks, which I don't consider expensive.

Will I go again? ABSOLUTELY! We are already making plans.

We went in on.a bank Holiday Monday, 3 of us on the off chance after a long walk! They found us a table and told us it would be 30 mins wait for food.. we sat down and place our orders, 15 mins later food arrived . More than enough to feed us all, our waitress Jo, was really nice and friendly, tables were cleaned thoroughly as we're tge seats, cool atmosphere too.. the whole experience was great. Cannot recommend it highly enough!

Food was awesome, service was polite but lacking. Salad didn’t come out with other mains. Old glasses left on table. Nothing that couldn’t be sorted quickly.

Absolutely fine food! But absolutely disgusting service. Workers definitely don’t know what they should do. Been asking for water and waiting for a while. Asked for bottle of wine and been waiting at least 20 minutes. In the end of our dinner waitress came and said we need to leave because they have table booked. This is was my birthday drink and I was shocked by attitude. Tables around been empty but we been said to remove immediately. Definitely not recommend and won’t be back.
