Operating their business like cowboys!
So there is no confusion, I am talking about Blue Sail Sint Maarten Zircon Road 16 Simpson Bay and I am not the first person to report this complaint. PLEASE STAY CLEAR!
I believe they are con artists that cancel your booking and keep re listing the property with higher prices to see if they can get more money from you or someone else!
Similar to what others have said, I too booked this rental for a very reasonable rate. We had booked this quite far in advance of our trip which is in Feb next year. I suddenly got a message saying my card had declined. I attempted to contact the owners to understand what had happened, firstly, why they were charging my card when the trip was more than 6months away and it was pay on arrival. But they never replied. I sent 4 messages! I then contacted the third party site I booked this through (booking.com) they also didn't get a response.
I have no idea how they are allowed to operate on third party platforms behaving this way. My booking was consequently cancelled for reasons of 'declined payment' although no one from the property ever contacted me directly. The next day, the apartment was re listed…at DOUBLE the price I had secured. so insulting and outrageous!
Total scam artists! Either trying to force me to pay more, or find someone else that will! Would have loved to hear why they did this - but they wouldn't be bothered to get back to me.
Found another place and booked that. Worked out for the best as the new place is so much better with an honest host.
