ssl certificates: lousy

Good: my image-heavy website loads faster than with previous host.

Bad:
a) online chat for customer support is very poor. They have never been able to fully fix any ssl certificate problems on my self-designed website.
b) phone chat is better, but the service reps are not competent. I have been having an issue with my ssl certificates, and after five attempts over the past year, they still cannot fix the problem
c) I have three urls for the same site. The support team is not trained on this, and it breaks down regularly. I have two more urls that I am hosting elsewhere because I can't trust BlueHost.com

Resolution: A BlueHost tech worked on the problem, and over a period of several days all the issues were totally fixed. Upgrading from Three to Five Stars

Best customer service and troubleshooting
Review : Exceptional Service and Customer Care

I recently had the pleasure of interacting with BlueHost's customer service, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. I encountered a challenging situation that required a refund, which had proven difficult to resolve through standard channels. However, when my case was escalated to Mr. Shaik Abiddin, everything changed.

Mr. Abiddin, demonstrating the expertise and precision of a true professional, quickly identified the necessary information to process my refund. Where others had struggled, he succeeded with remarkable efficiency. As a disabled individual, I often face unique challenges, and Mr. Abiddin was not only considerate but went above and beyond to ensure that my issue was resolved. He didn’t just go the extra mile; he walked to the moon and back to assist me.

His dedication and deep knowledge of his role were evident throughout our interaction, and I felt genuinely cared for. BlueHost should be incredibly proud to have an employee like Mr. Abiddin, whose commitment to customer satisfaction is truly exemplary.

The money involved was a significant portion of my monthly allowance, so I am immensely grateful for the compassion and thoroughness with which my case was handled. Thank you, BlueHost, for your outstanding customer service, and a special thank you to Mr. Abiddin for his unparalleled support.

Fraudulent practices at Bluehost

When I found out a trial for a professional mail service that I never opted in for was about to expire, I contacted customer services through the chat.
Note the service was added by default without my expressed request when purchase, which I found deceitful in the first place.
Anyway, multiple agents on the chat told me that everything was sorted and the service cancelled. Nonetheless, Bluehost continuously attempted to charge me for that service. My bank put my card on hold but eventually they managed to charge it. In the meantime, I had engaged with their chat again. Each time an agent would blame the previous colleague and assured that the cancellation has gone through this time.
In the end I found out the only way to cancel is to contact a number in the US.
But why didn´t they tell me before? why did they keep on saying everything was sorted?
There´s a all host of dodgy practices here: from difficult access to essential cancellation options, to unrequested services slapped on your bill on the quiet, to customer agents who are incompetent at best, or deliberately scamming customers at worst.

Atrocious customer service

Atrocious customer service. Our website is unusable due to malware and I’ve had nothing in the way of useful assistance. They only offer a chat function or a US phone number. No email, no UK phone. The chat is absurd, just repeating the same useless help. I put a review on another site and they responded immediately saying they wanted to fix the issue… last I heard from them. Just want to look like they care. Abysmal.
