Caution

I travelled 2hours to view a Motorhome which was advertised at having a 80 point habitation certificate, Solar Panel, second battery etc, made an offer which was accepted if we took it away that day, we were told the van was covered with the company insurance till we got home. we got home late parked the van up in the driveway, next morning went out to give it a clean only to find no Solar Panel, no second Battery, no Habitation Certificate, so we called them on Sunday and one of them said he would send it to us but if we did not want the van to take it back and he would give us our money back we said all we want is the Habitation Certificate well it did not arrive. My wife e-mailed him Monday no reply to her e-mail on the Tuesday so wife called him he said he was busy would send it through later. 7pm wife messaged him stating we needed the certificate to Insure the van and if she did not get it would take this further. He called her straight back and gave her a mouth full of abuse stating she would not have a leg to stand on in court and not to talk to him as if he was a dog, my wife stood up to him, he said we were at fault driving the van back home? i said the guy who showed us the van said we were covered by company insurance till we got back he denied this and said that was a lie he asked who said that and she said Nathan. He said he would send it first thing in morning (Wednesday) she asked hi his name he said Nathan ( so they must both be called Nathan) thats funny, guess what no Certificate arrived. 17.15 wife sent him a message saying no certificate yet, 5 mins later it came via e-mail. I would not recommend anyone buying from them. stay well clear. look up the company in detail before parting with any cash.

Lots of questions but no answers

Viewed a motorhome, it had a new MOT and a new habitation certificate. They asked us to pay half cash if we wanted money off. They then u-turned and said we could pay bank transfer. Paid £500 deposit. Went to collect a few days later. Ignored messages which I thought unusual. Got there at 3pm and the place was closed. (Meant to be open until 6pm) Received a message the next day saying on the last check they found a gas leak and returned our deposit. I thought that was what a habitation check was for? Why didn’t they fix the leak on a £25000 motorhome then sell it to me?

Seller is dishonest—buyer beware

Seller is dishonest—buyer beware. After selling me a faulty van, Nathan agreed to a refund and told me to return it. I made a six-hour round trip, only for him to ignore my calls and then claim he had already spent the money on new stock. He suggested leaving the van and waiting for a refund, which was not acceptable. Based on my experience, I would advise others to proceed with caution. ⚠️
