Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 132 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found the platform to be a toxic environment, citing rampant bullying, harassment, and bigotry. Customers frequently reported issues with censorship and inconsistent moderation, where their posts were removed or accounts banned without clear reasons, especially if their opinions differed from the prevailing narrative. The user experience was often frustrating, with problems like shadow banning, difficulty leaving the platform, and technical glitches. Some people also felt that the platform has become an echo chamber, where genuine discussion is stifled and conformity is rewarded. Conversely, a small portion of people felt that Reddit still prioritizes substance over noise, allowing communities to define their own standards and encouraging in-depth discussions.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Reddit

I had a highly unsatisfactory experience with Reddit. The service was delayed beyond the promised timeframe, and communication was virtually nonexistent. Despite multiple attempts to reach out, I received no meaningful response or resolution.

The lack of professionalism and accountability was evident throughout the process. It's disheartening to see such disregard for customer satisfaction. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and implements necessary improvements to prevent similar issues for future customers.

Reddit sucks

Reddit sucks. Especially if you trying to post an original post. The moderators are "bots" and claim you didn't do this or that or that my question is easily answered in their FAQ section, which none of what I am asking will be anywhere in Reddit due to the rarity of the question. So dumb. I was kinda liking Reddit until I wanted to post my own post. But the Bots are too annoying to work around. If real people moderated I am sure it would be way different since real people are not looking for so called "key words" that get your post rejected. Horrible.

Pathetic

Pathetic. Could be a site for free speech and healthy debate, instead it's moderated into obscurity by thin skinned incels who ban any commentary that's contrary to their own small beliefs born from their lack of life experience and oodie wearing. Banned me for 2 days for saying an adaptation of a TV SHOW from a game fell short. Go dye your hair a natural colour from the current shade blue it undoubtedly is and touch some grass. Reddit needs to be shut down.

Reddit's Biased Administration, Moderation & Lack of Transparency

I am writing to express concerns about Reddit's biased moderation, lack of transparency, and overall failure to maintain fair, consistent policies.

As a long-time Reddit user since 2017, I have witnessed a significant decline in the platform’s commitment to open discussion and free speech.

Key Issues:

Biased Moderation:
Reddit’s moderation practices are increasingly selective. Subreddits like r/MJInnocent were removed without explanation, while others like r/LeavingNeverlandHBO, which promotes anti-MJ narratives, remain active. This suggests a clear bias in how certain communities are treated, undermining Reddit’s core principle of balanced discussion.
Unexplained Bans:
I personally experienced a temporary and then permanent ban due to alleged misuse of Reddit’s reporting tool, despite following all guidelines. These actions were taken without notice or explanation, and multiple appeals went unanswered. This lack of accountability from Reddit admins is a significant concern.
Shadow Banning & Suppression of New Users:
Many new users face shadow bans with no explanation, often triggered by automated systems. There is no clear process for appealing these actions, and Reddit’s reliance on bots and AI makes it difficult for users to communicate directly with support. The absence of ticketing numbers and email communication further exacerbates the problem.
Lack of Communication & Transparency:
Reddit has become increasingly difficult to contact. Despite numerous attempts to resolve issues via Reddit’s support channels, I received no response. Additionally, r/MichaelJackson was left inactive after moderators were removed, and new moderators have struggled to manage the space effectively. Meanwhile, trolls have been allowed to disrupt the community.

What We Demand:

Reinstate r/MJInnocent and Other Unfairly Removed Subreddits:
Reddit should explain and reverse unjust subreddit removals, ensuring equal treatment for all communities.
Fair and Transparent Moderation:
Moderation should be impartial, with human oversight to avoid mistakes from automated systems. All users should be treated fairly, regardless of the subreddit or subject matter.
Clear Communication Channels:
Reddit must create a transparent support system with ticketing numbers and direct ways for users to contact a human representative regarding bans or restrictions.
End Shadow Banning:
Reddit should stop shadow banning users and provide clear explanations for any restrictions, along with an accessible appeal process.

Conclusion:

These issues reflect a systemic failure on Reddit’s part to ensure unbiased, fair, and transparent moderation. The current practices undermine trust in the platform, and if left unaddressed, will only harm Reddit’s reputation as a space for free speech. We urge Reddit to take immediate steps to rectify these issues and treat all communities equally.

I run several r/subreddits on Reddit

I run several r/subreddits on Reddit. I also have commented and posted on several other r/subreddits. The Bot-Moderators and the thin skinned blue haired Liberals on Reddit are sick and vile to have to work around. Anything will get you a ban because Reddit is SNOWFLAKE central (I don't know how BlueSky could be worse). I really hope Reddit is sued into bankruptcy or the Government cracks down on them for their insane censorship. A thousand times worse than Facebook at the height of their censorship.

I feel that Reddit is NOT for…

I feel that Reddit is NOT for community. I go to this website looking for community, but I am restricted. I get messages that I am going TOO FAST AND MUST WAIT. Sometimes it is 5 minutes, sometimes 7, other times I am required to wait 10 minutes. I am NOT A MORON and know how to read and comment. I feel sorry for the people that really depend on this site to find a community. I see many ONE STAR RATINGS, and apparently the managers of this website DO NOT CARE! I only wish that I could contact the subs that I really like; but I think I will be deleting my account. I do not need some rando telling me that I move too fast.

Don’t waste your time with Reddit

Don’t waste your time with Reddit. The moderator dictatorship and unrealistic rules make it almost impossible to communicate with anyone. Even the reddit Moderators use of language to reinforce their ridiculous rules is disgusting.

Reddit is the worst site I have ever seen. I went on there to discuss a topic I know a lot about and it says I don’t have enough Karma, whatever that means.
And then, if I disagree with somebody, on any level, the moderator just takes down my statement.
So here is my statement for Reddit:
You Suck!!!!

Free speech is not tolerated on this site

This site has the worst rules concerning free speech, in particular when it comes to religion. It is totally illegal to discriminate or insult a person because of his or her religion. It is however 100 % legal and ok to say a religion is the worst invention of mankind. Atrocities are committed on a daily basis in the name of god or Allah or other imaginary characters and that should be allowed to be said on Reddit.
