Freelance Developer
This was the biggest mistake in my freelance career. The CEO promised me this would be a continuous relationship where we would work together on this first project and any future projects.
Throughout the development of the project, the CEO was very unresponsive leaving me to handle and deal with the client (this was not a part of my role). When it came to receiving payment for my hours worked, the CEO kept providing me with false promises of "the payment will be sent by the end of the day".
I have not to date received a penny for the work I completed.
