Recently sold a property and purchased another using Blain Boland, can’t fault a thing, the whole process was so smooth and straightforward. After deciding to relocate to a different area and taking some time to find a new property Emma did her absolute all to get to completion in such a short amount of time, couldn’t recommend a better solicitor. Excellent service. We used Blain Boland to do the conveyancing for a property we were selling. Jonathan Shields was thorough, approachable and diligent. What started as a fairly straightforward process quickly unravelled into anything but, Jonathan had to deal with the original buyers solicitors going out of business, an incompetent sales progression company and a difficult management company. None of this phased him and he kept going at it in a professional manner.
I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them.

Despite my estate agent suggesting otherwise, I decided to use Blain Boland, a company we originally used to buy the house I was now selling. Jessica handled my sale and was very friendly, professional and efficient. Despite initially being behind the rest of the chain we were ready to complete first. Emma did something almost unheard of; she communicated clearly, responded quickly, and actually stayed ahead of the process rather than reacting to problems when it was too late. She caught every detail, kept everything moving despite others making it as difficult as possible, and somehow made what should have been a nightmare feel manageable.

I never had to second-guess where things stood or worry about things slipping through the cracks because Emma was already on top of it. Always available on the phone and quick response on emails, if needed. Never needed to chase outstanding actions and any delays were from the other side's solicitors.

Our solicitor, Emma Senior, was extremely patient and supported us brilliantly throughout a long protracted purchase of our new-build property.

We had a number of delays such as Covid and the development contractor going into administration so this process took much longer than usual and was very frustrating, but Emma kept in touch throughout and remained positive, answering any queries we had.

Once a new contractor was appointed and things started to progress, Emma was very responsive and efficient when we needed her to be and she pushed their solicitors to exchange and complete as soon as possible.

Despite the process exceeding 3 years we were grateful not to be hit with a huge bill. Whilst there were some slight increases in line with inflation they virtually honoured our original agreement for their costs, which was competitive and reasonable.

We have no complaints and would happily recommend their services.

From initial point of contact Jonathan Shields has been fantastic on the sale of our property. He has been responsive, supportive and when there was an issue that involved a previous solicitor, Jonathan sorted this swiftly and ensured that the cost was passed on to the correct individuals and not us.

We are partway through buying our next property using Jonathan again and we feel much more comfortable knowing we have someone that is truely working on our behalf.
