Huge disappointment never again

I have just returned from my third consecutive trip with Bite me Charters and Fishing, both my previous trips were six day fishing trips and i sent my enquiry for another six day trip. I received a quotation for $1400 for each for myself and my friend including two free days owed from the previous years trip where costs increased due to bad weather forcing change to the fishing location leading to substantially increased charges. We later found out that one of the other anglers on this trip had in fact paid $1300 for the trip so there was no two free day's fishing as previously offered and promised from Bite me!. The quotation i received included an upgrade to the new boat "ROOA" to Little Andaman and Hut Bay sharing the trip with one other angler. We agreed costs for the 6 day trip confirmed by return message. A couple of day's later i received a message advising me of a change to the dates and the new date's showed five day's which i questioned by return asking for confirmation that it would still be six day's fishing. I received a message saying "Yes please book flight's". Which we did.

We arrived one day before the first day's fishing to find there were now five paying angler's on the trip not three!. Santosh came to the guesthouse after 10pm to advise us that we were not fishing the next day as the trip was five days not six as three of us believed we had boked and paid for. We all expressed our surprise and disappointment at this news and agreed there was confusion. Santosh said he would speak with the other Bite Me captain and we could go locally on the old boat and that he would call us at 6.30am. We got up early for fishing but the call never came! We were left guessing what was happening until a message came through at 14.30 requesting copies of passports and visa's to obtain permits for the following days.

We requested a meeting to go over everything and come to an agreement for a refund for the days fishing that we had lost and paid for. Santosh arrived at the guesthouse. I was the nominated spokesperson. He then proceeded to verbally attack me with a raised voice and swearing and threatened to cancel the whole trip. This was witnessed by two of the other anglers. I stayed calm and managed to not be goaded by his actions. I calmed the situation which was totally uncalled for.

I have copies of every message and proof of our conversations and quotation costs for a six day trip in "ROOA" to Little Andaman and Hut Bay. We were then treated very badly each day of fishing with days starting late and finishing early. We all felt we were being punished and taken out in rough open sea, on one day being told to bring light tackle only as we would be fishing in sheltered areas behind islands which did not happen which led to considerable expense for some of the anglers of lost tackle.

We have not been supplied any photos or videos taken by Santosh. If you want personal photo's you must ensure you take them yourself before Santosh take's first position and blocks the chance for you taking your own unobstructed photos and video records of your catches.

Food was not supplied or offered on the first night which supposed to be included in costs.

Two anglers had to pay for their own hotels rooms as Santosh expected anglers to sleep together in double beds. This issue led to an argument between Santosh and one of the other anglers, which was not a nice situation for anyone.

All of the anglers on the trip expressed how uncomfortable the whole trip was and how disappointed we were at the whole situation. Three of us who paid for six day's fishing but only received five have not been offered a refund for the days fishing lost and paid for and expected.

We agreed that we would never use or recommend Bite Me Charters and Fishing again, we expected to get bites from fish but not be bitten by Bite Me Charters!!!

Never Again, avoid this company is our recommendation. Fact's are Fact's.

It was an amazing adventure

It was an amazing adventure, Santosh had to think on his feet as we arrived unfortunately into a cyclone. So we all voted to go up to the North Andamans to avoid it. First time he had done this trip with clients. We had some unbelievable days fishing. So many beautiful fish on poppers and jigging. Absolutely would recommend Bite me Charter. 🎣
