A Game or Incompetence
I drove one hundred miles to Bill Williams Tire Center for repair to my power steering. A young mechanic examined what our van needed while my son, myself and our dog waited in the waiting area. He said he could order the part and make the repair in a couple of days. My son and I checked into a local hotel to ensure we weren't late for the appointment. After an hour or so with the van in the repair shop the young man said he misdiagnosed the problem and wouldn't be able to make the repair at all. This type of waste of time and money happens to me regularly in Southwest Texas. Presidio Texas is where they will sabotage your vehicle altogether and leave you stranded somewhere. I've learned it's better, safer and far more productive for me to bypass the little towns of Southwest Texas and drive, be towed or abandon my vehicle and buy a new one if I must and do business East Texas, North Texas, almost anywhere else besides Southwest Texas.
