We love the king prawn and scallop risotto, it's absolutely delicious and it's frequently on my food order. However, two littles niggles: the juices leak out of the wooden tray very easily (due to th... See more

Tried two of the new Pan-Fry range, the Teriyaki Chicken Yakisoba and the Singapore King Prawn Laksa. Both have an excellent taste. My only complaint is that the King Prawn dish is rather stingy with the prawns - mine had 5, I would expect twice that for a premium meal costing nearly £7.

We have had Charlie's products for some time and have come to like and trust the results.
Recently tried a new dish which was the Sweet and Sour Pork with jasmine rice and found this to be excellent and would recommend.

We have tried most of the range and all have been delicious! Good value, better than a takeaway and good portion sizes.
Great after a long day at work 😊

I am a keen amateur cook
I am Belgian so no experience with Indian food
While in the UK I bought chicken TIKKA MASALA
It was absolutely excellent
As tasty as a good Indian restaurant.
The rice that came with it was of top quality !
So was the chicken
I will try other preparations!!
Congratulations to the cooks!

There arent enough stars to rate your ready meals. I'm so happy to see the veggie range is growing.
You may be interested to know that the App YUKA rates the meals as good (bit calorific) but acknowledges the quality and absence of UPF
We love them ... and will even eat chicken especially when it's on offer or reduced!
The red thai chicken curry which we ate most recently is amazing, every mouthful a taste sensation, spicy and fragrant.
Portion size is fine for us .
A CB meal is a treat (eating out but at home) and we often have a dessert ... maybe that helps with quantity.

I have just tried your new "five minute in the pan" Singapore king prawn laksa, which I'm happy to congratulate you on - it being a delicious, and may I say economical meal , which I feel will be a great success to accompany your new range.

The Breton Chicken is incredibly salty. The mash really doesn’t need a pile of awful breadcrumbs all over it. This was so much nicer as a kit you cooked yourself. I would never buy it again. Hardly any leeks and the sauce is very strong. It’s expensive and not good value. Very disappointing.

Just cooked the new Teriyaki chicken yakisoba.
Simple to cook, just a 6 minute stir fry job. But it was awful, a tasteless glutenous mess. I’m a fan of these ready meals and often buy one for a Friday night but really disappointed, small portion too.
I’d quite like my money back to be honest plus there’s zero to eat because I don’t shop until tomorrow. So toast for me tonight. Excellent.

I had the Thai red curry. It tasted great but it's not enough food for two adults. It's a lot of money to still feel hungry.

Singapore king prawn laksa, looked great. Easy to cook, however the sauce was to spicy for us. All we could taste was the sauce. Never having this dish before maybe it's supposed to taste like this. My wife had to leave most of hers. Won't be buying this dish again.

Bought a Charlie Binghams Sicilian chicken with roasted potatoes.
Lovely sauce but hardly any chicken, certainly not enough for 2 people, we were still hungry after eating it so wont be buying again as purchasing 2 would work out quite expensive, will be making my own Scilian chicken in future

Thai red curry. Excellent taste. Best ever and it scores 100 out of 100 on the yuka app which rates food never seen this before once had something that scored zero. Cooked in our caravan oven and always take a selection on our trips so easy and so tasty.

I treated myself and my sister to paella by Charlie Bigham I was expecting to add an ingredient or two to make it as good as what I’d make myself Well I was blown away - it was absolutely GORGEOUS - it needed nothing extra so I am moved to recommend it wholeheartedly to everyone needing a special treat!

Really impressed with the laksa dish …
So quick and easy to cook and very, very tasty.
Authentic too.

my first Meatball el Forno (for two) was good. Second one not so. Four meatballs and lacking edge of first meal. So not impressed - Sorry

Charlie Bighams pie bought from petrol garage Waitrose stock Road Billericay essex must be the worst pie I have ever eat and this pie had carrots in and the puff pastry did not rise and taste of nothing . The petrol garage served the pie in a plastic package whereas when I bought a week earlier in Waitrose store served in a a ceramic dish . Avoid buying pie from petrol garage - uneatable and not fair cost £5.99 and failed to eat it and spoilt the rest of meal with my potatoes and vegetables !

Chicken Tikka Marsala. This was very nice. Easy to cook. Authentic and tasty. The rice ( with the silver foil to cover it) was good indeed. A no brainer.
Perhaps slightly 'mild' for me ( even with the red chilli) but the Wife loved it. (You could remove the Chili pieces before heating?)
Next time we might add a few extra Chicken chunks ( from our freezer) to fill out the excellent sauce.
With the Fish pie we add a piece of frozen salmon to it. An extra £1.50? This beefs up the meal nicely.

Last week I bought A new dish a Chicken Parmigiana.
It was tasty , sadly the chicken portions were small and the herb crumbs tomato etc were even smaller.
Very poor value for the £10 , no where near enough for two.
