On checking Reviews.

I bought a number of BF games in the past. But haven’t gamed for a couple of years. So thought I’d check Reviews for best new games.
Am shocked at so many poor reviews. Perhaps I’ll move on…disappointing. 🙁

One very happy BigFisher

I have been using Big Fish Games for over 10 years, have bought a few games from them and also had a couple issues, not always their fault. But they are always extremely quick to sort out any problem and make me feel like my custom is important. Love the variety of games on offer & the quick download speeds too.

Where is Jerusalem/Tel Aviv?

Although I enjoy playing Gummy Drop, I am very bothered by the game’s creators’ that a city in Israel is not included. In this terrible age of anti-Semitism, I am hoping this is merely an oversight and not on purpose. I am hoping to see a city or town in Israel represented in the very near future.

Used to be brilliant! :(

I have been a customer of this company for a long, long time and have built up a collection of, quite literally, hundreds of games.

Recently I underwent a change in device which was the second time I had done this. Both times (six years apart) their customer service staff went above and beyond my expectations in preserving my games and helping me make the transition in the device change.

I can't thank them enough or praise them enough. So many companies could learn a lot from these guys.

Edited to add: I have read a lot of reviews from people claiming they have been charged for a membership they did not sign up for. This is simply a case of said people not checking properly when they sign up for things. There is a tick box by every purchase for non-members to tick if they wish to reactivate their membership. If people were to actually read before clicking 'place order' they'd see this and would not be 'trapped' into 'paying for memberships they did not sign up for'. Additionally, cancelling the membership is also, very easy to do. You simply go to your account page and cancel it. I have never been charged after cancelling the membership. Thank you.

Edited 04/09/2023: I originally posted the above on 2 June 2021 and, at the time, meant every word.

I have recently been finding many of my older games no longer work. Admittedly I have recently upgraded my memory and hard drive but that shouldn't negatively impact my games. I contacted Big Fish and, long story short, got the runaround. Asked me to uninstall and reinstall the manager which I'd already tried but did so again. Sent them a Dr Felix report at least six weeks ago but never heard anything back about it.

Today I found an email that had been sent by Amu telling me how to access my account!! I replied to say how unhappy I was but ... the email bounced back as undeliverable (never done that before either) so now it's possible they are blocking me. That was the final straw. I have found trials for some of the games that no longer work on other sites. They work just fine. So clearly the problem isn't my end.

I don't know what, or who, happened to this site but to see it being run into the ground like this is awful. BF's customer service used to be five-star! Once my points balance is used up I will no longer use them.

Quality of new games

I have been a game member for many years and have loads of really good games that I can play again, download again etc so no beef with that. My complaint is that the standard of games on offer has deteriorated badly over the last 4-5 years, most are based on the same old theme, technology has moved on but the games on offer are so dated. Very disappointing

Big Fish are bullies

Big Fish are bullies! I worked hard to achieve a 51k or so reward of diamonds for Design Home thru Tapjoy. I did provide proof with screenshots, has already received some diamonds on this offer for other milestones, but when I reached the last, biggest goal they did not arrive. I had left a bad review on google due to the blatant bait and hook for cash manipulation within Ever Merge. I sent a ticket thru Tapjoy, and was told they were waiting on advertiser verification. My email today says Big Fish Games deems me unqualified?!?!? I come to the conclusion, given the fact that I have never cheated on any of those type offers, that leaving a bad review cause the revenge of stealing my hard earned rewards. They brag to be the biggest online games company. Well, this isn't the mafia Big Fish. Quit trying to act like it. I don't like Ever Merge. I shouldn''t be punished for it. They did have other games that I liked, but this experience puts that company right in the gutter for me.

Do not trust this company!

Do not trust this company! I bought two games from them and they weren't compatible due to an error on their end. They were communicating with me up until I asked for a refund and sent them the details. This was 3 months ago and I have followed up 5 times since then. ALL my emails have been ignored. This company is stealing money from customers and needs to have legal action taken against them.

Another Ripped Off Mac User

I'm another Mac user who has been ripped off by Big Fish Games. I can't play their games (old or new) because they've failed to update something with their software. I know the problem isn't the games themselves because I end up buying them from another site and they work fine. Big Fish Games keeps offering credits, but I can't use them. I've asked repeatedly for a refund and been ignored.

This used to be a company that actually sold games. Their customer service was always terrible, but at least the games worked. Now they are just a scam.

Don’t trust them!!! Total waste of money

Bigfish is nothing more than a scam disguised as a good company. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on their games, some of which I had to purchase more than once because they had so many bugs they were impossible to play, and this company had the nerve to charge me for purchases I did not make. The website is so poorly organized it’s unbelievable. I will NEVER purchase anything from them again. I can’t even download the countless games I’ve bought over the years on my new computer. The installers download just fine, but are “incompatible” with my laptop according to the pc’s troubleshooter.

More false advertising!

I have been a member for well over 11 years. I used to love the promotions and discounts but not anymore. I like the CE's for the most part and play adventure/HO games. Since I am a member I normally would pay $13.99 per game. I would wait for the sales and loved the 60-65% off. I don't know how they do this but the 65% of $13.99 comes to $7.00. I'm not a math whiz but even I know that is wrong. If it was 65% off the retail $19.99 it would be wrong as well. This is false advertising!

Good Company Gone Bad

This use to be a good company, but the last couple of times I've purchased games, they would not download. I should have read the reviews first, and I should have been suspicious when it's almost impossible to find a way to contact the company. And business that only uses "help articles" is saying **** You to customers. Well, I'm not a customer any more.

I was given a number of vouchers

I was given a number of vouchers that were indicated on the accompanying Email as having no expiration date.
When I went to use in Jan 2021, I was given the message that they were out of date.
I have requested help since 7th Jan 2021 (it is now 19th Feb).
In an email from Bigfishgames on 2nd Feb because they had still not been able to answer my query I was sent 2 Freegame vouchers, when I went to use them I got the message that they had already been used.
This company does not seem to be functioning at all, I will not be purchasing in the future until the company in functioning properly. It is now the 7th March, and still no response after two months, It's a shame I cannot modify star rating to zero.

I was banned from the forums

I was banned from the forums because I said to another person that I played yahoo games and iwin games. they said that I mentioned another game app and it was against the rules. Before being banned I was targeted by an aggressive mod in the forums stating I had numerous accounts and it was against the rules. I told her I had only one account, when she mentioned another account I told her that it was my twin sisters account and she banned both of us! I called headquarters and they looked into it and apologized for the confusion on bfg part, they gave us coupons for free games but it left that mod totally unrest. within weeks she had me banned on the statement I made in chat about other games I played and where. I finally cancelled my account and went to steam. I will never get over the treatment from this power grabbed person nor the permission she got to harass me for weeks. I am so happy to have read they got sued!!!!

Had used Big Fish for years then…

Had used Big Fish for years then stopped because the price shown was never the price charged. I just went back to them and exactly the same ting has happened. I also notice it's actually difficult on a lot of the games to see a price. What a ridiculous business model. They must rely on people not checking what they have been charged to keep going, Shall not be using them again.

I have been ignored by Bigfish games

I have been ignored by Bigfish games. I have a new MAC and none of the games I have will download. I asked numerous times for help and was given a coupon code for a free game until they could help me. Unfortunately since no games will download, the coupon is useless. After several emails, I finally asked for a credit for all the games I purchased. I have not had a response and am not happy with their customer service.
