2026 - Another excellent experience this time with George. Bike changed and significant physiology changes since initial fit ~6yrs ago. Some good adjustments in a number of places leading to a significant decrease in saddle pressure and hand pressure and knees now also track well. Additionally a really nice chap and a good experience all round. Thank you!

2020 - Excellent experience with James. Enjoyed the fit, good to see I wasn't going too far wrong but still some good tangible improvements. Managed to still keep a good experience despite COVID precautions. Very much recommended. Lastly top marks for the soundtrack and the coffee!

I can’t recommend Dan enough.

I came to Dan at bicycle. after struggling with my new Factor Ostro. From the first ride something just didn’t feel right. I had lower back pain, numb hands and I was starting to think I had made a mistake buying the bike.

Dan took his time and checked everything, not just the bike. He looked at my position, shoes, cleats and feet, and explained every change in a simple way so I understood why he was making them.

He recommended new shoes because my old ones were too tight, set up my G8 insoles properly and made a number of changes to my position.

The difference was unbelievable.

After my first proper ride, the bike finally felt exactly how I expected it to. It honestly feels like I’ve been riding it for years. My position feels great, I can produce power again and I even set a few new personal bests on my first ride after the fit.

The biggest thing Dan gave me was confidence. Before seeing him I wasn’t sure about the bike at all. Now I absolutely love riding it and I can’t wait for the next ride.

Dan is friendly, patient and really knows what he’s doing. He takes his time, listens and makes sure everything is right before you leave.

If you’re thinking about getting a bike fit, I highly recommend booking with Dan at bicycle. It was one of the best investments I’ve made for my cycling.

James and the staff at Bicycle were nothing sort of excellent during my entire visit. I was warmly welcomed during the June heatwave, with the offer of an iced coffee on arrival.

During the 'fit' itself, James was meticulous at explaining everything as we went, making me feel completely at ease. Asking all the right questions, establishing my needs, my current issues, discomforts / niggles and asking what I wanted to achieve.

After a couple hours on and off the jig, I was now settled in a much improved, more comfortable position - every step of the way James interacted and checked how the changes made me feel on the bike and explained what we were doing.

Requiring multiple changes to my current bike, James then detailed the changes needed to match my new 'fit' to my bike. He then fitted my new 160mm cranks, inline seatpost, saddle and dropped my handlebars whilst I waited - no labour charge at all.

I honestly couldn't be more impressed and happy with my experience at Bicycle and would highly recommend.

An extremely thorough bike fit using all the latest technology, I really feel that this one is going to be the game changer. Denver was extremely knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble.

Had a fantastic bike fit session with James, made to feel at ease from the minute I walked into the premises by the wider team, coffee was good.

James took the time to explain everything that was being looked at and didnt try and blind you with science although things have certainly moved on from previous fit years ago.

The session went into things in detail and by the end had a very comfortable new position and tweaked bikes to go home with.

I have just had a bike fit with Dan Coombes at “bicycle” Richmond. This bike fit service was recommended to me by a bike shop, and I was told it was the “Gold Standard” of bike fits. Dan certainly was that. Very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and just thoroughly likeable. He solved a lot of my problems and I highly appreciate everything he did for me. Nothing was too much trouble. I was so impressed that he set up my bike for me, and fitted a new saddle. He has ordered, and will fit some new handlebars for me, having put this on order. They have lots of different saddles and handlebars that you can try.
I can recommend these people if you want a bike fit of the highest quality.

I'd had a bike fit before, some years ago, but now that I'm in my 6th decade and recovered from health problems, I decided another one would be useful at this stage. Had come across Bikefit James on YT and his business isn't too far from my home, so made the appointment with his colleague, Dan.

The session was very detailed and similar to what I'd had before, but adjusted to the body I have now. I'm also 4'11 and have always struggled to find bikes that fit and ended up having to change various parts. Dan was amazing and I'm sure he's a wizard. Shorter cranks and wider shoes with orthotics were a (redacted) moment. My right leg immediately felt much better. Was a little sad to realise my 'old' saddle needed to make way for a different one, but it was for the best. Other changes were also made. The session took 3 hours, plus extra time to make changes to my bike, including narrower handlebars. After a few rides, I'll contact Dan to discuss my findings.

This was absolutely worth the cost and I have no regrets. Bike fits are very worthwhile and I'd say they are even more important for people below average height, like myself.

I was really pleased with my experience at bicycle. Denver was super knowledgeable and engaged, which made the whole bike fit very productive and enjoyable. He also helped spec out a new bike to fit my needs as best as possible and I'm very excited to see it come together.

I recently had a bike fit with Dan at Bicycle, Richmond and cannot recommend the experience highly enough. What sets him apart is the genuine time and care he invests in understanding not just your bike, but you as a rider.

Dan’s meticulous attention to detail was evident from the start. Rather than simply working through a standard protocol, he took considerable time to understand my recent shoulder injury and how it was affecting my position and comfort on the bike.

He asked probing questions about how I felt at different points in my cycling and listened carefully to my responses. This knowledge then informed his adjustments in ways that a purely computer-driven approach simply cannot replicate.

The combination of biomechanical expertise and human intuition was powerful. Dan made incremental adjustments and had me test each one, calibrating the setup to my specific body and its current state of recovery. You can feel the difference when someone really understands the interplay between rider, bike and injury.

I left feeling genuinely buoyed about the season ahead. That’s not just about having a better bike position, it’s about the confidence that comes from working with someone who has invested in getting it right for you as an individual. The fit was thorough, considered and delivered with real professionalism.

Had my first bike fit with Andy who was super knowledgeable & happy to answer any questions, even the stupid ones. Every aspect was covered & I left feeling a confident that it is possible to get a truly comfortable fit on my bike!

Andy was patient, detailed and engaging. Present bike set up tweaked to good effect and great advice and figures for proposed new bike purchase. New shoes have made a big difference to comfort. Would not hesitate to recommend Andy.

I booked an appointment with Bicycle. (Andy Fenn) due to the plentiful positive reviews making the decision for me. I was a bit of a sceptic regarding the "power" of a bike fit but I left with my tail between my legs and also a well fitted bike! Andy was very knowledgable and patient with my thousands of questions. My 3.5 hours flew by (for me and hopefully Andy too). I can safely say that I left with a far more comfortable bike and great advice on possible further upgrades which seem to be plentiful in this great value hobby!

Popped in yesterday to pick up some G8 insoles for my Lake shoes. Was met with a warm welcome and lovely coffee. Dan took me through the measurement of my feet and suggested two different arch heights as my feet, like most people are slightly different.
Fantastic service, will be back again and highly recommended.

I had a bike fit with Andy and it was absolutely excellent. He was really informed and helpful, patiently answering all my questions and explaining his thought process.

As a result I’ve got great insights into my position plus all sorts of information that will inform and de-risk future purchasing decisions. I’ve only implemented some of Andy’s recommendations just because a few of them involve replacing bigger parts, but even the adjustments he made to my shoes have already made a massive difference to my comfort and efficiency on the bike.

The other thing I thought was really nice is that there was absolutely zero snobbery - I felt as valued as any customer even though I ride a modest steel bike not an expensive carbon one.

Coffee not the best but otherwise a thoroughly positive experience! Wish I’d invested years ago - highly recommend.
