High quality and great design at good price
BN206 are my favourite shorts. Good breathable fabric, super comfy fit and perfect inner lining. The only minor hassle is the label in the back, but you can easily cut it away.
A shell jacket will be my next purchase.

We understand your frustration with the black material attracting lint and dust—this is due to the brushed finish used in some models, which adds softness but can also attract particles, especially early on.
The good news is that we’ve addressed this in our updated BN001 v2 model, which features a refined fabric that significantly reduces lint attraction while maintaining the same comfort and durability.

First Feelings
After trying them on I can review their quality.
I like the fabric and fit, I wore them both full and removing from the knee down.
Excellent breathability and very comfortable the two thigh zippers to let the legs breathe.
I have not yet tried them in cold temperatures and rainy conditions but I think they are good, I reserve the right to review them again post test.

Missleading delivery and return instructions
Their website clearly stated that delivery would be managed by DHL, and based on that information I provided my desired delivery address in Estonia. After payment and dispatch, I received an SMS from Smartpost informing me that my parcel would be delivered to a parcel machine located more than one km from the specified address.
Furthermore, I intend to return the backpack from the order. I submitted the return form in accordance with the instructions on your website, which stated that returns would be handled by DHL. However, at the DHL service point in Tallinn, I was informed that DHL could not accept the return as the process is in fact managed by Smartpost.
Smartpost return form doesn't accept the number generated via Beyond Nordic return portal.

While we do ship with DHL, it's important to note that DHL may use local delivery partners and postal agencies in different countries—such as Smartpost in Estonia—to complete the final leg of the delivery. This is unfortunately something we have limited control over, and we understand that it can cause confusion when expectations are based on DHL as the sole handler.
Regarding the return process, we're also sorry to hear about the issue at the DHL service point and the Smartpost portal not accepting your return code. This is definitely not the smooth experience we aim to provide. Great trousers but everything sticks to them!
Great trousers , design and comfort. But unfortunately everything stick to the black material (I have BN001 red with black). I send photos over email and on website contact page over month ago, I didn’t get any reply till today. Quality of black material is horrible and everything sticks to them, after washing still same. Otherwise I would give 5 stars as overall comfort + design and quality is great.

The BN001 trousers were made with a brushed black fabric, which makes them more prone to attracting lint, hair, and dust, especially in the beginning. This is a natural characteristic of that fabric, not a fault in production. Over time and with regular use, the fibres will even out, reducing this problem. We’ve heard similar feedback and have taken it seriously. That’s why we’ve improved the fabric in our new BN001 v2, which features a refined material that significantly reduces lint attraction.
The brushed surface requires the trousers to be washed separately according to the care instructions. If lint remains in the washing machine from previous washes, or if the trousers are washed together with other garments, fibres and lint can easily stick to the fabric. If this happens, you can try the following:
- Run the trousers through an empty washing machine one more time to rinse off any lint.
- Tumble dry the trousers immediately after washing while they are still damp - this usually effectively removes lint stuck to the fabric.
Although we don't generally recommend tumble drying these trousers, they can handle it. However, it may slightly affect their water-repellent properties.

Fantastic pants. I've thrown everything I had at the BN001 pants for little over a year now. They've been my main hikers since my last Fjellreven KEB ripped at the seam (again). I've spent 100+ days in these and they wear great. Backside has a couple of ember-burns from laying too close to the fire, but that's the cost of flex panels and comfort. Only issues I have: the loop for the axe is too big and pretty useless, and the push-buttons on the trouser legs are chunky so you can't really wear them inside your boots as they will press and cause discomfort. Also i removed the boot lace hooks for personal preference. Great, hardwearing, super comfortable hiking pants I will definately buy again. If Beyond Nordic puts as much thought and quality into their other products they have themselves a fan! Dare I say better than Fjällreven?

Very happy with the products
I have bought several articles from Beyond Nordic. three different pants and a jacket, and now I bought the backpack. I like the material of the pants, although I managed to melt one knee on one of them. I wish they were more flame and spark retardant. The backpack fits well, and the space between my back and the material on the backpack gives airflow and really adds to the hiking experience.

thank you for your review. We are sorry that you feel that the pants attract a lot of dust/lint.
We understand that this does not look nice. Here are a few tips what you can do to reduce this problem:
Step 1: Wash the pants separately and then try to remove all dust/lint thoroughly with a garment care roller. Emptying the lint filter of your washing machine may also help.
Step 2: Try impregnating the trousers further, using a spray-on or wash-in product (we sell Nikwax brand products on our website). On the thicker fabric sections, you can also use our heatwax. This will help reinforce the water and dirt repellent properties of the pants.
In addition, we want to assure you that the static property of the fabric will disappear by itself after a period of regular use.
