After being let down by two other landscapers Brian promptly provided a quote and carried out the work two weeks later. Appreciated Brian's suggestions and really pleased with the results.

Oscar has abandoned our garden project and taken away his tools after nearly a year. After a recent four month delay, he made an unscheduled and unjustifiable demand for an extra £11,000 and refused to continue work unless he received it. We had already given him £50,247.60. Using Oscar's quote, we estimate that he's so far only delivered £12,932.40 worth of value. He has not contested our detailed written estimate. Also, Oscar promised in writing that he would buy and deliver our materials on site in return for the money we gave him, the majority (by value) of which he has not done. We are an estimated £37,315.20 out-of-pocket for labour and materials that were not delivered and our garden is unusable.

In the interests of fairness, I shared a draft of this review with Oscar. It was met with threats. This behaviour is in keeping with an existing criminal record, which you can discover for yourself with a simple Google query: "OSCAR FAIRFAX-SLADDEN". We have passed on the threats to the Police and intend to pursue Oscar through the courts for our losses.
