Great experience every time
Very friendly staff, plenty of communication throughout the process and a very easy delivery experience. The mattress is the perfect match for my sleep needs and came with very clear care instructions. I recently moved in to a new flat and decided I’d go to Bensons for my bed. The manager at the New Malden store helped me that Sunday and took care of things right down to my delivery by 2 very efficient and fast individuals who’d set everything up. I’m now sleeping like a baby at night, very happy with my purchase and I can definitely recommend Bensons for Beds very highly. I know it’s not cheap but the quality and design is there and that’s the most important thing to consider. After all, a comfortable bed is an important part of your home and your home is your castle

A £1000 mattress shouldn’t fail after 2 years, ex display shouldn’t mean “no responsibility”
I bought a king size ex-display mattress from Bensons(New Malden) in December 2023. The sales team in New Malden is amazing, I don’t have anything against them. The review is for a customer service team for Bensons.
The mattress I bought was reduced from around £1000 to £300, king size all natural vegan mattress. I accepted it’s ex display, as I thought that will mean that people have sat on it, but I did not accept that it would become unsuitable after roughly 2 years of sleeping on it.
The mattress has developed a significant groove along the centre and the middle support feels weakened. You genuinely feel like a cheap sofa bed now not a proper king size mattress it’s uncomfortable and impacts my sleep.
This isn’t due to poor care, as I have cared for it, and turn it every 3 to 6 months, making sure I can use it for years to come.
When I called I was told ex display items are only guaranteed for one year, therefore after two years there’s “nothing they can do”. That response is disappointing from specialist bed retailer, especially when the issue appears to be structure failure.
Leaving this review to order customers can make an informed decision. I think it’s a reasonable to expect better durability, and I hope Benson will reconsider and offer a reasonable solution, because at the moment this experience has to really damaged my trust.
