**Disappointing communication and lack of follow-up**
I contacted Bennett Griffin seeking advice about a property boundary dispute. I provided the relevant details, including the property information and photographs.
After receiving no response, I telephoned the firm on several occasions. I was eventually told that my enquiry had been passed to a solicitor who was working on it, but despite being promised a return call, I heard nothing. I subsequently discovered that the firm had an incorrect telephone number for me and corrected it, but still received no response.
I then raised my concerns directly with the senior partner. He acknowledged my complaint and copied in the Head of Dispute Resolution, stating that he would look into the handling of my enquiry and respond to me directly.
Unfortunately, I have still received no further response.
I appreciate that solicitors are busy, but I believe basic professional courtesy matters. Even a brief acknowledgement explaining that the matter was being looked into would have been welcome.
The repeated lack of communication has left me disappointed and without confidence in proceeding with this firm. My concern is not that I expected an immediate solution, but that I had to repeatedly chase for a response and was ultimately left waiting despite assurances that someone would contact me.
