I purchased two rings from your Belk…

I purchased two rings from Belk online. I ordered these rings knowing they would need to be sized, so I took them to a long time jeweler in the area and had them sized and soldered together. I informed him the diamonds were real based on the description on their web page. Many of the diamonds turned blue during the process. He stated this only happens if the stones are treated/enhanced stones or lab grown. I had not informed him to take precautions as nothing in the description mentioned either of these things.

They have now been sized and soldered together ,which cost me an additional $160 to add the additional gold. I spent a lot of money on these rings and am very disappointed and confused how this could have happened since I purchased from a department store .

Next issue is when I showed him the ads to prove it stated they were real diamonds, he pointed out based on the photos shown on online page , and the rings I was sent , there were subtle differences he noticed right away that I wouldn’t have picked up. I did not get legitimate merchandise, I received inferior products.

The stones that turned blue are not even suppose to be in the ring, black prongs holding the chocolate diamonds are suppose to be there, the black prongs are not present in either ring but clearly shown in the online ad. This is fraud! The subtle differences were not obvious to me but once I showed the jeweler the original ads he spotted the differences right away. Once it was pointed out it was painfully obvious I did not receive legitimate Le avian rings or what was shown online when I made the order.

I wasted an additional $160 having the rings sized up and soldered together before learning they were fake imitations. This explains why they don’t ship in Le Vian boxes like everyone else who sells Le vian jewelers does. However I have never purchased jewelry before so I had no idea I was being scammed.

Now I am waiting to see if they will allow me to return the items for a full refund of the original payment even though they were altered considering I assumed I was being sent and sold legitimate rings or I would never have purchased or altered them.

Cheap and nasty tack!

The boots I received bear no resemblance at all to the boots pictured in the ad. The ones in the ad look sturdy and good quality- the ones I received are cheap and nasty tack! Disgusting! I wanted to include a photo of what I received, but conveniently there is no option to do this here but I will post on Facebook. I have tried to fill in the returns form online but they say they don’t recognise my order number or email address, yet they have managed to email me half a dozen times with offers! Also they want me to pay for the return😱….I don’t think so! I am taking this up with my banks fair trading service.

If out of stock they will send you something random!

I ordered about 12 shirts for my sons. And two of the shirts I received were just flat out not even close to what I paid for. When I called, they told me they were out of stock. Instead of just cancelling the graphic long sleeve and graphic short sleeve, they sent me two plain short sleeve shirts. When I called, I was told I could mail one back for a refund but the other one wasn't eligible for a return or refund. Like what?! They didn't send me what I paid for. How is it not eligible for a refund. I'm done with this company. I should have learned the last time I ordered from them and they sent a kids shirt instead of an adult medium because, again, they were out of stock. But they gave me a refund that time. This time she said she could send my request to a supervisor and I would get an email about it. It's been over a month and still no email. I just consider it money lost and a lesson learned.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They don’t even deserve 1.
Awful customer services. I’m visiting the US and went to do a click and collect order, they took money out of my account twice and I received no confirmation email about my order. Went into the store in person and was directed to the manager who was so unsympathetic and unprofessional who advised me there’s nothing she could do and I had to call customer services. Spoke to customer services who stated I didn’t exist and that it is a pending transaction. However the money has been taken and hasn’t been labelled as pending. They advised me that my money may or may not come back into my account in the next 7 days, if not then call Belk again. I leave the US in 2 days so that’s impossible.

You’re better off giving your money away to the homeless people.

Horrible experience and customer…

Horrible experience and customer service. They notified me my package arrived when it did not. At least not to my address provided. Then have the nerve to have in policy you have to wait 3 days before you can submit a claim. That’s insane and unacceptable. They’ll never get my money again!

I ordered a pair of sneakers from Belk…

I ordered a pair of sneakers from Belk online. When they arrived, they were obviously used. The soles were dirty and they smelled. I returned them at the store (the store clerk even confirmed they looked used) but was only refunded the cost of the shoes, not the shipping - told I had to contact customer service for that. Customer service told me there was nothing they could do and would not refund the shipping. I was sold used shoes and Belk couldn't even take responsibility.
UPDATE: After posting this review on a Belk social media page, customer service reached out and offered a gift card in the amount of shipping. Not exactly a refund but I'll give them an extra star for effort.

Bye bye from “Premier” Shopper

The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 is fast shipping. As mentioned previously, their online systems are outdated and procedures stuck in 1990. Trying to change my return method from in store to online took 4 calls totaling 30 minutes. At least 2 unproductive calls bc offshore rep couldn’t speak English or horrible connection.The result - a “rep will contact you by email in 3-5 business days.” Used to be a wonderful store - now only inferior products and frustrating business procedures. Bye bye

Outstanding Customer Support

Simpsonville SC here... I am a customer since early '80s. Shout-out to Tracey (HR) Manager that was at the register today helping out Cashiers... outstanding customer support. She listened to a concern I had and quickly resolved it. Customer focus and great prices is what makes Belk a great place to shop at.

Nice purchase

I read some of the negative reviews and still decided to give Belk a chance. They were selling a leather wristlet I desperately wanted. I placed my order and received it within 10 working days. I didn’t have to deal with cs or anything. Im very pleased with my purchase even though they are stingy with coupons

Credit Card and Business Model Are Outdated and Obsolete

Their credit card gives you Belk Bucks to spend, but the selection of items you can "buy" with these lists are usually out of stock and the housewares are cheap imported products that fall apart or lose their shape in the dishwasher. If you order online and return items that don't fit in the local Florence, SC and Hartsville, SC stores, they treat you like you're an anomaly or weirdo. No way can this company stay in business with an outdated business model which they refuse to change with modern contemporary society.

I ordered many tee shirts and millenial…

I ordered many tee shirts and millenial pants that were the Belk brand last Spring, but they have a terrible smell that will not go away. I had just bought a new washing machine and thought at first that it wasn't getting the clothes clean, but eventually realized that it is only these items that stink. So I am now throwing them all out. I probably spent between $200 and $300 on these items, but I can't return them at this point and I certainly can't wear them with the awful smell.

Shocking company

Give no stars. Sandals arrived and one of the flowers was missing and the other flowers were faulty wanted me to send back to them at my own considerable cost. Total cowboy company customers service is terrible. I’ve already paid for them to be delivered. Never again and warning other people not to buy from them. Every time I put a comment in Facebook they delete

What a rip off company

What a rip off company, I bought two pairs of sandals size 10 what a joke I couldn't even get them past my toes.my friend who is size 6 tried them on and they fit perfectly. Belk company states they don't deal with uk that company now has £35.98 of my money as they wanted me to return them at my expense to China it would have cost me £25 no way would i do it as it was Belks false advertising that caused the issue. I was told when they received them back I would get a refund, what an absolute rip off

Customer service non existent

I noticed my order had my old shipping address. I tried to cancel or change this but no option. I called the minute they opened the next day and they would not cancel my order even though it hadn’t even processed. They suggested I create a fed ex account and have them change the address. Fed ex will not do this for obvious reasons. Fortunately I was able to cancel through PayPal. I will never shop here.

Gouged with double shipping on return

My sale shoes came with no box. Zip tied together. Terrible quality. Seems like they were a Franco Sarto low quality sub brand. And to return: expect to be docked original shipping cost AND return shipping. I paid $20 to return cheap vinyl boots. Never again.

Failed to refund sales tax for returned item

Buyer beware. When you return an item, you won't be refunded for "other service charges associated with your order," which it won't explain. Belk didn't refund the sales tax for a returned item, which is considered illegal and possibly fraudulent, to charge a sales tax if an item is returned, as well as unethical. That's why online shopping has a rating of only 1.4 stars out of 5, and why they did not respond to my inquiry.

Horrible company trading under Jones store -***SCAMMERS***(on line)

Ordered pair of shoes and after a long wait received wrong shoes. I asked for a refund but was offered 20% which I declined. After much messing around and wasting my time I was asked to return the item in order to receive a full refund. The company Jones shoes a based in China so to return the item it would cost me more then I payed for shoes. When i contacted PayPal, company called Belk was under my transaction not the Jones shoes. So, horrible scammers with no care for customers!

Incorrect prices on website


I shopped on Belk in the early morning hours Monday Sep 16 2024. I was looking at petite sundresses and saw the amazing clearance price of $11.93 so I ordered a bunch. Obviously there was a glitch and the prices were changed that afternoon. Belk is denying there was a problem but there certainly was. I’ve been emailing Belk and they want to know if I have a screenshot of the prices. Of course I don’t 74 year old senior citizen here. I will probably refuse the shipment because then a return fee will be deducted from my refund if I don’t. Pretty unhappy here
