We found the team helpful

We found the team helpful. There was no pressure to buy we were given time to look and test drive vehicles. Very satisfied.
We drove along way to view their vehicles which in comparison to the area we live we felt were very fairly priced and in very good condition. The vehicle we purchased was freshly MOTd and full service.

I bought a Range Rover Evoque

I bought a Range Rover Evoque from Beckside and would highly recommend them. The staff were really helpful and not pushy like most places I have been to before. The price was very reasonable and they provided a 12 month MOT, service and AA check as standard, plus a 3 month warranty. Really easy to do business with.

One star is far too high

One star is far too high . BUYER BEWARE. This organisation sound kosher on paper. We paid these, cowboys £500 by credit card for a vehicle, the single A4 sheet of paper gave details of what we were buying. Please sign and return electronically.
I tried to insure it with our car insurer, each and every time I inputed details the reply was error. I tried 2 different insurance quote sites ERROR.
DVLA were contacted for details, there reply, VEHICLE NOT FOUND PLEASE CHECK YOU ARE INPUTTING CORRECT DETAILS YN 13 WFY
I spoke with Greater Manchester Police who, put me in contact with West Yorkshire Police, also spoke with trading standards for advice, all these people were, sharing the same advice. FIRSTLY CONTACT THE SELLER then come back to us.
Beckside did try and give me some garbage that, this was a private plate which has been removed, the car you bought is IDZ 969, when checking DVLA, no MOT history no service history. Gary told us "you have signed a legally binding document and must pay the balance" Our credit card provider disagreed, so did trading standards and police, but Gary told me his legal department were involved. Is this the department, that valet there motors? After TEN days we did get our deposit returned. Due to a little persuasion.
After he told me we could not speak to trading standards or police or DVLA and when I told. Him our solicitors had been instructed, "you still signed a legally binding document" we have retained all documentation about the above statements
Perhaps there should be some badly treated customers could get together

The worse experience I have ever had purchasing a car and would actively recommend to look else where.

Bought a car in September, and had issue after issue. Mainly a engine management problem that initially I was passed to the warranty company but when the cost was more than the warranty company would pay (£500 limit), I was told to bring the car back in to the dealership. They then ‘fixed’ it only for it to still be the problem. Then when I took it back, they had the car for 9 working days. Gary is actually a decent guy, but the emails you get from the director/s are argumentative and provocative and they will mention their ‘legal team’ which just heightens everything. Along with trying to make you feel as though you should be grateful that they are fixing the car ‘free of charge’ when it’s their obligation to do so as I had only had it a couple of months. The car was finally delivered back to me in a filthy state and with a tyre pressure warning light on, despite it being valeted before I dropped it off. Just a real lack of care and consideration once you have purchased. I hate writing these because I truly believe people deserve a chance, but honestly the service is just terrible.

Arfur Daley sold more reliable cars !

I brought a range rover sport which supposedly had an AA check and a new MOT .
The car was delivered to me in Cornwall and on the MOT was an advisory for the rear arc bar and it's gonna cost me £1500 to pot it right
The suspension pump failed and it cost me £1500 to put right .
The warranty people won't pay out either.
Avoid this company.

Beckside - WARNING

Beckside sold us a RR Sport with a supposed 128 point AA check and a brand new MOT. Within a few weeks we discovered the rear discs were shot, the pads were excessively worn front and rear - all MOT failures. The suspension pump failed, a suspension sensor failed, it needed new windscreen wipers, the bonnet closing mechanism didn't work and then finally we discovered the car needed repairs to the transfer box and the rear suspension bushes needed replacing. Luckily for us our brilliant finance company Close Brothers upheld our complaint and Beckside was forced to take our vehicle back, pay all the bills and return my deposit. Awful company

GOOD BUT DON'T BUY THE WARRANTY!

EDIT: DO NOT BUY THE WARRANTY THAT THEY OFFER, THE WARRANTY COMPANY WARRANTIES 2000 WILL NOT PAY YOUR CLAIM!

Was a 5 star review before I had a terrible experience with the warranty company that beckside sold me with the car for £500.

I bought a Range Rover sport from beckside and it was a really good experience. I dealt with Gary who was professional and knowledgable, he let me spend as much time as I wanted looking around the car and testing everything and taking it for a test drive. Gary did not pester me but he was always on hand to answer any questions, the car came with an AA check, free warranty with option to extend, they put it through the MOT for me and they even changed the wheels to a black colour I wanted. So they went above and beyond and the price was also good. I would recommend and I would use them again thank you

Had a good experience purchased a L200…

Had a good experience purchased a L200 series6 off them, when I went there to see the car it had an engine management light on they where apologetic to me and said that it would be sorted turned out to be a dpf fault that wanted a regen they took it to a main dealership to be done and everything was good.
I picked up the car and everything has been as it should.
I would like to thank Gari and the team for everything they did for me.
I would definitely purchase from Beckside 4x4 again.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Had an absolute excellent experience …

Had an absolute excellent experience with Beckside, All of the staff are very friendly and helpful don't be afraid to ask questions. My first purchase was a Range Rover Sport 2006 V8.
Excellent condition and AA inspected which gave peace of mind. When buying you get 3 months warranty which could be extended if you wish.

It was an absolute pleasure doing business with and I wouldnt hesistate to buy here again in the future. 5 Stars.

Avoid like the plague!!!!!!!! (EVEN D ICK TURPIN WORE A MASK)

Avoid like the plague!!!!!!!!

Had a DPF Fault one month into buying a 2010 Nissan X Trail. The level of customer service was zero. I had a 3 month warranty (standard) i also upgraded to a year warranty which was a waste of time and money!!!! if they cant honour the standard 3 month one whats the point with a 12 month one. once i reported the fault they just washed there hands of it and did not want to take any responsability.
i was lucky that i had taken my car on finance through a third party lender because otherwise i would of had a vehicle that was not fit for purpose.
the finance company organised a independent automotive test and the result was that the dpf fault was present when i bought the vehicle.
the finance company then had no choice but to put a new dpf filter on at a cost of £1800 and i would imagine they then would of taken legal action against Beckside 4x4.

Anybody reading this please take my advice and buy elsewhere!!!!!
Why this garage has gone on trust pilot is beyond me! There customer service and under hand tactics is disgusting so dont get ripped off shop elsewhere.

good except warranty claim issues

i bought the car, no issues with that process. polite efficient. However I bought an extended warranty to 6 months.
I wanted to make a claim a month after via Warrenties2000 the provider.
However Beckside put mileage incorrectly in the book. 10,000 miles under.
So Warrenties2000 questioned why the difference and said I was a high mileage user, based on Beckside's error. It was a real pain. I do 8k a year. how could have I done 10k in a month!

Does not Honour Warranty

Hi All,

I purchased a vehicle that ended up having problems, where the dealer was not willing to rectify or pay for the repairs.

Ended up having to claim via my credit card.

Bad experience from this dealer.

Would not buy from again.

11th Feb 2026 - Now they have flagged this to be removed......So why taken so long when the statement is true.....I purchased the car and on the way home had issues - I drove a long way and px'd my vehicle. Turned out the clutch was on the way out and juddered when driving. The dealer wouldn't cover it but said to drive back and return - but would not cover the costs of fuel, insurance fees to change etc. So that's the statement - but as they not happy with it, they have flagged it to remove it.
