Overpriced garbage.

Initially thought it a great idea to have a top opening beauty fridge, for convenience and space saving. It has an ideal footprint and design, however, manufacturing is subpar. This is not even 2 years old, and the fridge displays an E1 error message, doesn't cool, and the company customer service is run by curt and unhelpful personnel.
Return shipping is paid for by the customer, which means spending $100 to send it to France. Then they decide upon receipt of the item whether or not to issue a warrantied replacement... This provisional solution still costs the buyer shipment fees associated with the initial warranty claim, and mine would be exorbitant compared to the cost of the machine.
There are now top opening fridge alternatives on Amazon that cost 1/5 the price, and are literally manufactured using the exact same materials. Do not waste your money on this "luxury" item that ultimately breaks as fast as any other beauty fridge.

Buyers Beware!

I am very disappointed that I have to write this review. I love the Beautigloo concept, the design and even the product - when it works correctly. I placed an order and purchased my first Beautigloo during their pre-launch and it took MONTHS before I received it. I was very excited when it arrived but it did not cool at all. It continually displayed an error message and Beautigloo replaced it under the warranty and covered the shipping for returning the non-functioning device back to them upon receipt of the replacement device.

The replacement I received worked very well, but it did not even make it to two years. The power pack that plugs into the wall is always very hot so I unplugged the device before leaving to Europe for a month. When I returned and went to plug it back in, it was totally dead and would not even turn on. I tried unplugging it from the back of the device and the cord literally separated and the connection into the back of the device was literally melted into it. Given the device was still within the 2 year warranty, I contacted Beautigloo for a replacement. They refused a replacement under warranty and said the cord issue was not covered. After some back and forth about the warranty, they offered me a discount to buy a replacement because the cost to ship the original appliance was cost prohibitive and not worth it. I obliged and bought another device, albeit with a discount.

I received my replacement appliance and less than a year later it is not cooling as it should. It is supposed to cool to 46° F but mine doesn’t cool below 60°F. I bought a thermometer to check the temperature when it didn’t seem to be cooling as it should. Once again, I contacted Beautigloo about a warranty replacement because, although discounted, I purchased this replacement and their devices are supposed to come with a 2-year warranty. Beautigloo informed me that I needed to pay to ship the appliance back to France for their technicians to diagnose the issue. Again, the cost to ship the appliance from California to France is very expensive and not worth the cost given the price of a new appliance. One would think it would be covered as part of the warranty, but not according to Zoé with Beautigloo. When I referenced California consumer warranty protection laws as it pertains to warranties, Zoé informed me this does not apply to them because their company “is based in France”.

So now I’m in a position where I have had a total of 3 Beautigloo devices malfunction, and I paid for 2 of them because Beautigloo doesn’t honor their own 2 year warranty. I have cared for my device as recommended including the distance from the wall and making sure the back filter is always clean. Unfortunately, it just seems I was either unlucky with all three devices I was sent OR the product needs to be improved. Either way, Beautigloo does not honor their two year warranty without requiring the customer to bear a cost burden when the device malfunctions within the warranty period.

At this point, I’ll look for another option because this company is just not reputable. They do not honor their warranty and they certainly do not have loyalty to the customers who have been loyal to them. There are too many alternative options on the market to continue trying to plea with a company that doesn’t seem to have integrity with their product, policies, or even commitment to their product or warranty.
