I have been a long time user of beachbody's bodi on demand, but reached a point last year where I just wasn't using it anymore. I was auto-charged at the renewal period and immediately contacted them for a refund because I had not intended to renew. They told me I couldn't get a refund. Once I was charged there were no refunds. So, I cancelled my subscription so I wouldn't be charged again in 2025 and decided to make the most of it for the rest of 2024.
2025 renewal period comes around, and I was charged AGAIN despite cancelling! Again, I immediately contacted them and I was told I hadn't cancelled and that I needed to provide proof I had cancelled last year. I didn't have proof, I hadn't taken a screenshot of my account or saved the chat convo and my emails are auto-deleted after 90 days. I've never had a company try and sneak one over on my like this, so I'm not in the habit of saving this kind of communication! Now I'm stuck with another $190 charge for a useless product I no longer use for the second year in a row. And I've learned my lesson, I'll be saving everything.
Too bad because if it wasn't for this I probably would have signed up again in the future! Horrible business practice, so sneaky. Do not sign up, they will take your money forever whether you want them to or not! And if you cancel, TAKE SCREENSHOTS! SAVE EVERY EMAIL YOU RECIEVE! If you don't you'll regret it just like me.

I used this service for many years. This year, I missed the email that I would be charged again. Three days after being charged, I called and requested a refund and cancellation of my plan. I was able to cancel the plan, and I expressed that I have not used the account in over 6 months, as it didn’t suit my needs anymore. I asked for a refund of the $180 that I was charged. They denied my request and refused to refund me, even though I contacted them within days of being charged and saw that I hadn’t used the account.
This is incredibly frustrating and seems highly unfair to keep my money when I will not and have not been using the services.
I will not recommend this company to anyone due to the terrible customer service.

I re-upped my subscription during a sale (long before the subscription would renew) but when I got injured and wasn't going to continue using it once the new subscription started in a month and a half, they refused to refund my money for services not yet rendered. I liked some of their programs okay but ultimately I think they were part of the reason for my injury.

I did not have a good experience with this company. I got automatically charged because supposedly I was on automatic renewal, but I don't remember doing that. I did not realize it until I got a pending charge on my credit card, but by that time it was one day past renewal date, so they would not let me get out of it. I was hoping there was a place on Google to warn people of their practices.

Horrible company!!! Would not refund my renewal 1 day after they took it out of our account. My card on file had even expired and they somehow got my new one! SCAM ARTISTS!! NEVER SUBSCRIBE TO THEIR SERVICE!!!!

We all need to get together and get a lawyer to sue this company. I was scammed when they automatically took funds for a membership renewal I did not consent to. They did not send me any notice. They are scammers. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. If you bought a membership cancel it and change your credit card number.

Absolutely terrible customer service. My wife cancelled her membership on 2022 and never realised they have been charging her credit card for the past 2 years. She got a charge for $240 2 days ago, and she caught it and cancelled...but it was too late aparently? We only wanted this renewal refunded, she was willing to take the loss on the 2 years, but catching it 2 days after a renewal? What a scam. The coach she initially signed up under was a sleasy scam artist to boot. She cancelled what she thought was everything she signed up for shortly after enrolling in their program? Guess not. Wish this scam of a company had a google presence and I would leave a review there as well. What a joke, i do NOT recommend this to anyone. Stay FAR FAR away.

I cancelled my subscription long before my cancellation date, but recently they charged me for another full year. You cannot get a phone number, only online ‘help’ they conveniently have no record of my cancellation and because I newly put in another cancellation once I saw the charge on my card, this is what they are going by. It’s only been a week since the charge, I filled out their form, but they refuse to cancel and refund. I am a single parent and would prefer to buy groceries with the $240.00!
Update, just got a response from them saying the same thing… we don’t have a record of you cancellation request so will not refund…

Reply from The Beachbody Company
Update!!! The response they provided is a lie. I have been dealing with them for the last 3 weeks with the BBB.
Do no under any circumstances sign up for beachboy. They are deceitful and will lie about sending out an renewal email.
In addition they will sign you up for other items without your consent and bill you. they will state that you agreed when you renewed. They are terrible customer service to deal with. Please stay away and look elsewhere. If you dont believe me check all of the other reviews.

Zero stars if possible. They are an awful company. Always will say some BS about the fine print of their service / subscription instead of actually doing the right thing regarding refund. Believed I obtained a year subscription, but they said was 6 months, and charged credit card again. As soon as I noticed was in contact with auto populating customer service via chat, they just have a script they follow. Their business model is based on scamming people out of extra monthly, yearly subscription fees. Subscription not canceled, credit card will be charged and they will just say screw you, per the blah, blah, blah of some box checked, blah, blah we have the right to steal your money. My subscription renewed, requested refund and they just basically give you the bird. BODi does not care about doing what is right, decent, etc... greedy company with zero morals. Too bad, as their content creators actually have good programs that work. I have spent a lot of money over the years. Will never give this shady sad excuse for a company another dollar of mine and understand they careless at the end of the day. They will respond to reviews with their canned response about the fine print and think that makes up for them being shady and greedy and they are somehow in the right, but guess what BODi you're not and you actually know that. Just think about how many of your customers might have actually come back in the future if you actually did the right and morally correct thing for your customers. There is a reason they don't allow you to call or email; they can careless about their customer base. You can only burn so many people before you run out of peope to screw over and steal from.
To all the people BODi screws over.. file with BBB, contact your bank and file dispute, leave as many honest reviews as possible so maybe others will not get screwed like we did.

I cancelled 5 months before my renewal date and they still charged my card. When I contacted customer service they refused to refund my card. Do not recommend!

Good luck trying to reach a human here. I simply needed to change my shipping address and it's impossible through the website. What should be two clicks to get to the address change, takes you on an endless loop of website prison. Then you can't reach customer service. It says "text" us, and nothing happens when you click it. Thanks for the frustration.

SCAM WARNING! I used to have a subscription with Les Mills for years but decided to switch to Beachbody. I purchased two programs from Beachbody, and they automatically added a 30-day free trial for full access to their website to my basket. Unfortunately, I forgot to cancel the free trial since I was never interested in it until I received a bill from them. I find this very unfair, as the free trial was automatically added to my basket without my consent.
I contacted their support team, and all they said was that they couldn't make an exception because this was part of their terms and conditions. I am very disappointed with my switch to Beachbody; they do not seem to care about their customers. After I finish with this unwanted full access, I will be going back to Les Mills.

There isn’t a better deal in the health industry. Broad range of workouts and great instructors. Love it. Check with your health insurance company because some policies reimburse for club memberships, which is a great way to underwrite getting fit. Most of the complaints here don’t acknowledge any personal responsibility for keeping track of subscriptions and deadlines.

This company is a total scam. Their customer service is horrible and incompetent and when asked to cancel my entire account, it was confirmed they completed the action in Jun2022. Yet I continued to be billed ~$197 in Mar2024 and they refuse to refund the money they stole from me.
Their customer service/corporate is completely unhelpful and incredibly rude.
I took a look at Reddit and what happened to me seems to happen a lot - so I feel like they are just a big scam of a company.
AVOID THIS COMPANY!
++++++++++
And the BODi company response is simply priceless. If you look at other reviews of BODi on this site and others, it’s clear that I am not alone in feeling scammed and taken advantage of by them. If BODi would only show some integrity and spend the amount of time LISTENING to customers and handling problems that they do trying to prove all of us wrong, perhaps they wouldn’t have such horrific reviews.
Regardless, I firmly stand by my original statements and strongly recommend avoidance of this pyramid scheme-esque company. BODi will find a loophole in their ‘contract’ and find ways to steal your money. Even being ‘disappeared’ from their site is a hassle - and I also strongly recommend getting all of your personal data off their site because they cannot be trusted.

Beachbody has become a scam company. Once the most respected company when it came to providing fitness programs for people to work from home. Now, they have this terrible business model where if you are late by even minutes in cancelling an auto-renewed subscription, they refuse to refund you.
They will state they sent out a notice of auto-renewal, but of course that doesn't mean anything. Emails can get missed or access can be lost, etc. etc. etc. A servicemember goes out onto a training exercise where they have no access to their personal email and go without that access for weeks, in turn missing this so-called "notification" email because of it? Too bad. "Not our problem", they will say.
And of course, you can't actually talk to a real person on the phone anymore.
They know people will miss these emails, and that is what they are counting on. They know people will be unaware of the auto-renew window and will do pretty much nothing (except sending a single email that can be easily missed) to ensure customer knowledge of the pending charge. This company now engages in shady practices meant to pull the most amount of money they can from their customers - taking willing advantage of the fact that humans nowadays have so many things going on in their lives that they easily forget small details - and in turn pad their bottom line.

Once you sign up, just know that you are a member for life. You have a better chance of winning the lottery than cancelling your membership with this SCAM of a company. I have not used this app or any workout in over 2 years.
I cancelled within 2 days of renewal and here’s what I’ve been told. You cannot cancel past the renewal date. Well I did. And in the cancellation I was told that I would receive a refund. I did not. Today I’m being told that I have to submit a form that will be reviewed within 10 days. The submission form even says that exceptions are rarely approved.
So, thank you to Beach Body for another year of paying for something that I do not use because I was injured using your program 2 years ago.
DON’T SIGN UP!! AVOID BEING SCAMMED OUT OF YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY!!!

I Cancelled this subscription over 3 years ago and just noticed they took $242.95 at the beginning of this year!!! they have been taking hundreds from me for years! there was no option to call a representative to resolve this. I'm looking to be refunded for those years.

Absolute scam of a company. I had a subscription my work used to pay for. I no longer had access to my work email and missed the renewal notice. The day I was billed for the following year, I called explaining the situation and asking for a refund. That’s ridiculous but moving on.. they removed my access to this service. They are refusing to contact me or assist me. I am now out $190 of a service I CANNOT even log into. I don’t know how these people live with themselves

I have had the Bodi subscription for 4 years and decided to cancel due to the lack of new workouts since the new format rolled out last year.I dont remember what the original terms and conditions were when I joined years ago, and when I canceled, nowhere on the cancelation page ( or anywhere else) that I saw, does it state that there are no prorated refunds. You find this out after the fact when you get the email confirming your cancelation. You have the option to kerp until the end of your subscription or cancel right away. So,essentially I paid $170 for 4 months, because I didn't remember something I read 4 years ago. How idiotic. Just warning others. If you pay upfront for the year and you chose to cancel before the end, make sure you choose the first drop down menu option. I should've known better, and learned an expensive lesson.
