BDA level 5 course. Avoid.

I would avoid all courses with bda. Once the final payment was made the quality of delivery was shocking for such an expensive course. Feedback contradicted earlier feedback. Feedback was very granular, slow , unclear in nature. Lesson plan stretched to 8 pages and still not enough detail. They do not set up for sucess but for failure. They should publish their retention figures as i dont believe they would be very good. Avoid and try another provider.

A very poor course

A very poor course, zero support and terrible customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this course to anyone. I understand it’s online so very much self led, but the ‘support’ that is meant to be there is pretty much nil. Takes forever for anyone to get back to you and when they do it’s never of any help. With the price of the course I would expect help when needed at least.

Poor customer service

I appreciate that the assessment used is thorough and this review is based on the customer care I experienced. The customer service side is poor with focus on profit rather than making a difference. You have to give 21 days notice to alter an appointment or be charged £400 to rearrange. So make sure you don’t plan any emergencies or illness. They is little empathy for the reasons why it had to be changed and you pretty much get a standard response saying no exemptions. You then go to an assessors house and in my case you couldnt use the toilet which is difficult for you and the child if needed. You could however drive 15 minutes to use a supermarket one which isn’t great if your child needs the toilet as it would take 40 minutes in total.

Poor support

Poor support and feedback for Level 7 course. Delayed responses to assignments and patronising approach. Overall, hugely costly, demoralising and disappointing experience. Clearly, would not recommend the BDA for Level 7 training.

As it is now possible to leave a review…

As it is now possible to leave a review I thought I would leave a review of incident that happened a few years ago.
I have serve dyslexia, I rang for advice and the woman I spoken on the help desk. Read out a e mail address to me so quickly I had to ask for her read out again and slowly so I could write it down, her manner was it almost to much for her to help.
I honestly wonder why the BDA excites .

Costly experience

I enrolled in the Level 7 course at BDA several months ago and was highly disappointed with the course provision. Assignments were not graded promptly, causing significant delays in my progress. Consequently, I decided to withdraw from the course. Despite filing a complaint, I did not receive a full refund and felt that my complaint had not been heard. This experience has been both costly and frustrating, therefore, I would not recommend this Level 7 provider.
