I came across the Trustpilot rating for Berry's by chance recently, and was frankly shocked. I am a fairly recent customer, but have been impressed with the curation/offers of wines emailed and subseq... See more

Thank you Adrian. My father received his bottle of Brunello in time for his 93rd birthday dinner today - with just a few hours of notice. I'm indebted to you. Grazie di cuore.

BBR cut my Sadie Family wines allocation drastically in 2024, with no credible explanation, despite having bought these wines from them for many years. When I complained, they promised to do better... See more

ignore complaints - just want your money

They don't respond to complaints and seem to think you should feel honoured to spend your money there. Come across as thick, privately educated and not that honest. You'll get a lot of 2nd tier wine offers in your inbox usually dressed up as wines 'to die for'. I've found it easier to get the in-demand wines from other suppliers. Do they take proper care of your reserves? Hmmm.

DON'T USE

DON'T USE. Your cellared wine can completely disappear after app update leaving with no trace for claims. Cost of your purchase is understated leading to illusion of gain in your wine portfolio.

Surprisingly good investment experience

I am not a wine guy, I know much more about finance. I started an investment account maybe 7 years ago? I'm not completely sure. My account manager was very good and listened to my advice or I suppose constraints more importantly. I have fed into it at a few points but not within 5 years.

They are very upfront with fees. You basically have storage and sales charges but I forget what they are off the top of my head. I have not thought it much after setting it up.

I "liquidated" my portfolio a few weeks ago as I would like to buy a house and I need cash. I thought it would take ages to sell them at values that I was happy with but 90% went within a week and in my account within another 5 days.

Overall extremely happy. Ultimately (ideally?) instead I would have gone with some no frills DIY wine broker. Which BBR is not (I don't know if there is such a broker) but they do an okay job of keeping the costs down.

I am tempted with a 5 star rating. If they had been slightly cheaper or hadn't sent so much junk mail and catalogues then they would have it!

Terrible

UI placed an order for 205 pounds. next day I received phone call from BBR telling me my name is wrong. I spelled my name..no change. Apparently bank declined transfer .
So I had to call the bank which told me there isn't any transfers declined.
Back to BBR.
Oh yes sir it wasn't declined by bank but our system ( ??? )
Then telling my that they not proceeding over 100 pounds with my order. So they offerer bank transfer. I realized bank transfer takes money form Debit card...
Terrible waste of time and nonsense claim about my credit card.
Steer clear from this company. Bunch of liars.
