My experience at Bayfields was handled extremely well , from the very through eye test to the selection of glasses.
The staff were very polite and knowledgeable regarding aspects of choosing replacement glasses.
Good experience all round.

We've been using this practice for 43 years so well before Bayfields took it over and have never and still don't have any issues with the skill & professionalism of the Opthalmist that treats us.
I had both cataracts done in last few months & therefore required new lenses in glasses, it was shambolic start to finish, no clarity on exactly why I was paying £720 for lenses 1 reading i distance in old spectacle frames & just one pair of new glasses all with top notch coatings I hadn't asked for & new glasses not even tried on.
Very unprofessional and after myself & family and friends using that shop for 43 years it really leaves a bad taste in the mouth after all this time and must make us question the integrity of the business.
Bayfields felt an apology over this mess was sufficient, I don't think it touches the core issues here but I do hope they think it was worth it

Problem identified and solved very quickly.

Margaret was really friendly and helpful during the eye examination, and arranged for me to have new lenses to correct the changes in my eyesight. After a few days, my new lenses were fitted into my frames in the store. I am very happy with the result.

Staff are friendly and keep the customer informed about what is happening.

Staff are great and very caring, it feels like they know me personally, optician spent quite some time with me checking out all the options for the best contact lenses

I had the hearing test it is just a shame that the tapping of the keyboard out done the sound that you were meant to be listening for.

I was seen promptly and the examination was completed in the time suggested. The eyetest was very thorough and my questions were answered directly and reassuringly.

Very nice experience. Friendly and professional staff. Very pleased and will come back.
