Hopeless customer staff at the ground floor
Hopeless customer service, especially the only male staff (about 50-60 years, height 1.6m and about 85kg) at the ground floor of Bangkok bank main office at 333 Si lom Road. Please remove him now or move him to another area away from the front counter or he will destroy the bank reputation.
Thank you

A Pleasant Banking Experience
Recently on morning of 9th March 2024, I went to the Bangkok Bank Robinson Kanchanaburi branch to inquire about online banking. Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed by the security guard and soon met by bank officer Khun Pichitporn whom was attending at counter 5.
I am most obligated to mention that throughout the transaction, Khun Pichitporn was attentive, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. All my requirements and expectations for assistance were met . He went out of his way to ensure that I was made to feel valued and welcomed . Once again, the services rendered were overwhelming and most pleasant .

BANGKOK BANK took my money without informing me in advance!!!
It's really bad. They deducted my money for the debit card fee without informing me in advance even though I officially cancelled the card a few months ago. Why the bank staff did not tell me anything about this whether I have to still pay for the card fee on the day I made a cancellation. I'm very disappointed and quite angry for what they've done. With other banks, they sent me a message telling me that it's almost the time to pay for the card fee and the date that the fee will be deducted from my bank account. However, I've never experienced this with BANGKOK BANK. IT IS REALLY BAD. I would like to warn any other people who would like to become their customers, please think again before making a wrong decision to choose this bank as your bank in the future.
My recent experience with Bangkok Bank…
My recent experience with Bangkok Bank has been nothing short of a frustrating ordeal. I moved from Chiang Mai to Phuket and, unfortunately, my credit card was mistakenly sent to my old branch in Chiang Mai. This simple mistake has turned into a nightmare, and the lack of responsiveness and accountability from the bank is deeply disappointing.
Upon realizing the issue, I promptly notified the Phuket Branch and requested them to transfer my credit card to the correct location. That was four weeks ago, and despite numerous visits and empty promises, my credit card is still not at the Phuket Branch. This prolonged delay has caused significant inconvenience and has left me without access to my credit line during this period.
The final straw came when I spoke directly to the Manager at the Phuket Branch this morning. I explained the situation, hoping for some reassurance and immediate action. However, the Manager's response was incredibly unprofessional and disheartening. He simply rolled his eyes, shrugged his shoulders, and without saying a word, walked away nonchalantly. This kind of attitude is unacceptable, especially from someone in a managerial position who is supposed to address customer concerns.
This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied and questioning Bangkok Bank's commitment to customer service and accountability. As a long-time customer, I expected better treatment and a proactive approach to resolving issues. Instead, I have been met with indifference and negligence, which is not something you'd expect from a reputable banking institution.
Having my credit card stuck at the wrong branch for weeks and receiving such a dismissive response from the Manager has eroded my trust in Bangkok Bank. If they cannot handle a simple task like transferring a credit card, I seriously doubt their ability to handle more complex financial matters.
I urge potential customers to be cautious and consider the possibility of facing similar issues when dealing with Bangkok Bank.

I closed my savings account with Bangkok Bank yesterday. Balance was 30,000.00 but they took 13,852.26 for CMB, Combined No Book Transaction. I had my savings book with me and it was updated. This is so wrong. How do I get my money back.
Slowest service in history
The Pracha Churn Road office has no intended to service waiting customers in a acceptable time frame. They have in the morning rush hour 1 clerk servicing a ever growing queue of at least 10 customers. What kind of service is this? Very unprofessional.

Terrible service and very long waitingtimes when you have to do something .
The Phon Pisai office is sooooo slow .
Useless phone support
Useless phone support; poorly designed with an absurd number of options. (Anything to avoid customers talking to an actual person.) Still waiting after 30 mins while I write this. Moving all my credit cards and savings accounts to Kasikorn; much faster and more efficient customer support.

A great bank with awesome internet banking system and user friendly features. Lots of ATM and ADM around Thailand. Easy to use their Debit & Credit cards both in Thailand and overseas smoothly. I personally think it’s a a great bank .
Never return refunds
January 14, 2023
Two transactions occurred on the same-day by a vendor. The vendor returned the cash same date and Bangkok Bank did not credit it back to my account. This has been an ongoing dispute for two months and I have provided all necessary documents and even a representative from GRAB to resolve this matter and no refund.
This bank is quick to charge me monthly commission fees of 30 baht, ATM fees of 20 baht, annual account fee of 599 baht. No wonder why they made a record breaking 19.8% last quarter in earnings. They don't refund errors on customer accounts.

The staff has poor knowledge and generally cannot help in case of problems.
The worst is when uou contact customer service it takes hours to reach them : unacceptable when you face an important issue with your credit card ; today i spent 1 hour trying to reach customer service.
I let you judge , thailand is amazing in other many aspects.
Bad service
Bad service. High rates, untransparant. Low knowledge of banking by employees. They rather make up a story then tell you they do not know the answer. There is always an unpleasant surprise at this bank. Will never come back. This goes for most banks in Thailand. Very very low trust score.
Belligerent bankers and passive aggressive
What went wrong? Everything went wrong. First they had closed my bank account. I had been back in the U.S. for almost three years and when the woman ran my bank book through the system she said they had taken out the money in it to pay for fees and the account was closed. When I was advised by my visa agent to go to the B.B. at the airport shopping plaza to open an account into which I would transfer $22,000.00 later, they gave me a hard time. The bank officer told me the date on my Residence Cert. was set to expire tomorrow the 1st. Reading Thai upside down I told him the month was Jan., not December - so I had over a month left on the visa-free permit. O.K. Eventually they let me open the new account with a token 1,000bt deposit out of which they took 400 bt for the ATM card.Pretty chick poop IMO. I received a check FWD'd to me at my guest house from over there and the branch of B.B. I went to refused to let me deposit it - after checking out the front and back several times - and said to go to my home branch. Out at the airport plaza the smiling officer from before told me this time this check was past its expiration time limit of 60 days. No I said there is a half a month left. Okay. Then he argued that there was something else wrong but he relented and said I could deposit the 157 dollars. Then the cashier argued with me , going over the same ground about the dates and called over a different officer who had just told a woman to go back to China with her banking. He ...... long story he came up with more objections, said I would have to pay him 15 dollars and then if it got rejected by the bank, another 15 dollars. I said to deposit it. What did they have to lose.? He took me over to this cubicle and then argued some new excuse and said they could not do it. He was lying. So they tossed my 157 dollars into thin air. How can a country let these ignorant people who seem to be so degraded they have to use passive aggression to hurt other people when they can get away with it, run an important bank like this?

This bank takes overpayment for currency - we had to pay for a hotel stay and bangkok bank's exchange rates are 42% higher than other banks.
We feel really cheated - but a good way for a bank to make money.
