Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re so sorry for how disappointing and frustrating your order was, especially knowing it was meant to be a Mother’s Day gift. Receiving the wrong item twice is unacceptable.

To clarify, when we say “made-to-order,” we mean that we don’t hold pre-made inventory. Each sweatshirt is produced after an order is placed, which helps us reduce waste and ship globally. That said, we hear your concern that this wasn’t clear enough at checkout, especially given the sizing issue.

We’re reviewing our sizing guidance and policy communication to make them more transparent and helpful so customers can feel more confident when ordering.

We appreciate the chance we had to connect with you directly and work toward a resolution, and we’re using your feedback to improve how we communicate and support our customers going forward.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry for the frustration this experience caused. We took the time to personally review the full situation, including your emails and messages, and we understand why this left you feeling disappointed.

Missing your original email due to an overly aggressive spam filter was an oversight on our end, and we understand how much that added to an already frustrating experience.

We also wanted to clarify what we mean by “made-to-order,” as we understand that the wording can feel unclear. While the sweatshirt remains available for purchase on our website, we do not carry pre-made inventory. Each item is individually produced once an order is placed. This allows us to reduce excess waste, ship globally, and continue building Balkanish in a way that allows us to serve our community around the world.

We understand the frustration around sizing and know how disappointing it feels when something doesn’t fit the way it was expected to. We provide sizing information on each product page and are actively working to make our sizing guidance and product communication even clearer throughout the shopping experience so customers can feel more confident when ordering.

As a made-to-order business shipping globally, our policies are designed to remain consistent across all regions we serve. While this means we’re not currently able to offer returns and exchanges in the same way larger retailers can, it’s something we’re actively working toward improving as we continue to grow.

Most importantly, we’re grateful we had the opportunity to connect with you directly by email, personally review the full situation, and achieve a resolution together. Your feedback was taken seriously, and it led to important internal conversations around both communication and customer experience.
