Booked in to get some new ski boots. Phil looked after me so well, whilst giving me the time to try the options in my own time. Such a great balance of offering advice when needed, or asking great questions to help along my decision.
Oh and I appreciated the cuppa tea too!
I bought both ski touring boots and skis. Honestly, I wish every shop had this quality of knowledgable staff and service.
For the boots I booked in for a boot fitting in the shop. It was an excellent experience. We spent about 3 hours fitting and at no point did I feel I was being rushed and I had the full attention and lots of good chat with Tom for the whole time. The process was methodical, thorough and everything that I had hoped it would be.
I had also been considering some new skis and discussed options for the type of skiing I do with Tom and Dan when I was buying boots. They gave me some good suggestions, so I when I decided to buy, I came back to them. They didn't have the length I wanted in stock online, so I rang up and they ordered them in for me. They also put aside the bindings I wanted so that they didn't run out of stock while I waited for the planks. The setup was a good fair price. Drove to the shop to pick up the skis in person and Tom talked me through the bindings, showing me how to adjust them if needed. Again a great experience, and I know that if I have any issues they have a workshop to help sort things out.
I bought some Hanwag shoes online from this company.
They arrived very quickly but the left shoe caused pain.
When I contacted them they suggested an idea that might help - and indeed it did!
