Unlimited purchase means for the life of one pc!!
I purchased an unlimited license in 2007 but have found out when I tried to install it on my new pc, that they want me to pay for another unlimited license. Maybe I should have read the small print, that unlimited doesn't actually mean unlimited. It wasn't about the money, but the principle, hence 2 stars. Doesn't matter though, I found Wave Pad and Audacity which do a whole lot more, for free. So, AVS4YOU is not AVS for me anymore!!!!

The software is pretty good and easy to use, with (mostly) good results. BUT!!!...My only gripe with this software is that the "Content", such as Video Effects, Transitions etc, is so terribly outdated now. I've used this software for over eight years now, and in all this time, despite any Updates, the Content has NEVER been changed &/or added to. It's all "Old Hat" effects, popular many years ago, but not now, so pretty boring, really. I did mention this a few years ago, and I was told they'd "Look into it", but, of course, they never did. However, it suffices for basic to medium editing requirements.

Computer expires - license expires
Having used AVS4you software for a number of years, my motherboard on my computer broke. I tried to install AVS4You software on to the new PC only to find out that that I need to buy a new copy of the software. Apparently purchasing the software does not mean you can use it for life.

"Lifetime License"... Not Even Close!!!
Same song, new singer here...I have had an AVS4YOU "Lifetime" license for years. When I bought it, I'm pretty sure there was no limitation on transferring it to a new computer when a computer dies. I know I have had it installed on at least two conputers--consecutively, never concurrently.
Now they give me the line about the "lifetime" license being in reality just for the lifetime if one computer: statistically an average of 3 years. Bait-and-switch, false advertising, you name it. Many companies have been humbled in court eventually for relying too heavily on 'lawyerese' fine print in a EULA: when the advertizing blatantly offers something completely different and better. For now, reviews and letters to attorneys general. That is how the snowball starts rolling. Please do not insult me with your trite, specious copy-paste reply: I DO NOT UNDERSTAND, and your company is shady.

Not really a lifetime license
Decent program but as Windows 10 is no longer supported I had to get a new computer. Even though I have a "lifetime" license it is NOT transferable. Guess it is only lifetime of the computer not the software. Will be going to DaVinci Resolve and other programs instead.
