Very Disappointed – Not Worth It

I am extremely unhappy with Avira. Almost everything about it is frustrating. The constant notifications are incredibly annoying. Every few minutes there is another pop-up trying to push upgrades or extra features. It feels more like advertising than protection.

Also, nothing is really free. The so-called “free” version is very limited and constantly tries to make you pay for basic features. It’s misleading and disappointing. I expected proper protection, but instead I got endless reminders to buy something.

Overall, this experience has been very bad. I would not recommend Avira to anyone.

It´s shit

This app is totally shit! It doesn´t work as you want it to, it makes your computer work worse. I got so many notifitcations, and they wanted that i pay for an upgrade, every day. It helped NOTHING. When i wanted to delete it, it didn´t let me, it was a very long progress. If someone asks me i would say, never load it down.

Roberto-Tallinn. Avira no support mail so thr=ey can cheat you easier

i Made a free trial contract, before automatic renewal I asked on the chat to cancel my free trial, they confirmed by email that it was cancelled , and that i could still use until expiry on 31st January 2026, because today you cannot trust anyone I decided to put my account on zero, today without surprise I received a mail from Avira, saying that they where not able to charge my credit card, because I don't have a paid contract i cannot send them an email to the support, this is ridiculous and sounds zero professional, I will have to lose time with lawyers because if i don't make a case against Avira my bank will not stop the payment request, I have been a client of avira for 15 years with my company in italy and privately, now i wanted to use again for VPN living abroad, but experience was so lousy that will never make a free contract trial with anyone anymore.

Do not trust them with your data

I strongly advise against trusting Avira with your most sensitive information. My experience with Avira Password Manager and their support team has been nothing short of a disaster.

Despite having a paid subscription, Avira Support completely failed to deliver the help and service I needed. When over 600 of my passwords disappeared from my vault, I was shocked and in a panic. These weren’t just random logins these were critical accounts that I rely on every day. Instead of prompt, competent support, I was met with long wait times, unhelpful responses, and zero resolution.

Their support team gave me a runaround for weeks without ever fixing the issue or restoring my data. At every step, I felt like I was being pushed aside rather than assisted. I paid for a service that’s supposed to secure and protect my passwords but they did neither. Losing hundreds of passwords and getting no resolution from support is absolutely unacceptable.

If you value your time, your security, and your sanity, do not use Avira Password Manager. A password manager should secure your digital life not erase it and then leave you to deal with the consequences.

Terrible support. Poor reliability. Do not trust them with your data.

I have to admit I find it rather ironic that you respond to the review. I share the information requested, and yet nothing has changed and I have not received any update since your last response.

From my perspective, the pattern so far has been: you ask for information, I provide it, and then the case simply goes quiet. That is exactly the issue I have been trying to highlight.

If you truly intend to address the problem, I would appreciate an actual update on the status of the issue and what concrete steps are being taken to resolve it.

I look forward to hearing something more substantive this time.

If you’re constantly interacting with your antivirus, something has already gone wrong. With this one, nothing happens — and that’s exactly the point.

Five stars for doing its job so well it’s almost invisible.

Amazing Product

I love the amount of notifications! It's nowhere near as many as major brands such as McAfee. The UI is very nice and easy to understand/access. Overall an amazing product! I ONLY use Avira's browser too!

refund

It was okay when i used it but when i thought i had cancelled it and then saw the money go out my bank and requested a refund ive been waiting 1 month already for a refund to no response except customer support is busy so make sure you cancel cause when requesting a refund you will definitely not see that money coming back ever again
