vw beetle convertible
I recently bought a black 2015 beetle 1.4 tsi 150 hp, clubsport, convertible for my wife's birthday. I maxed out my budget so the wife bought the one year warranty by autotrust.
After a few days driving the car I noticed a ticking noise from the engine bay, only when pressing the clutch pedal of the six speed manual. So we called Autotrust, they had the car diagnosed by a Garage in Delft, Idenburg. After a few days, they told they wanted to elimininate the problem, by renewing the complete clutch, including it's bearings, after that tehy would look further if the problem stayed. I lasked chat and the likelyhood that the clutch bearings or housing would be the problem, was 60%. But the clutch is excluded as a wear part of the car, like the brakes and tires. Makes sense to me, because i read the conditions before buying the warrantee.
So, they paid for the work, 700 euros, and I paid for the parts, 350 euros. Thats, pretty cool, and after that, just to be 100% sure, they send the car to a gearbox specialist 100 km's away. The gearbox specialist said the rest of the gearbox is fine. The ticking noise is gone, and the garage Idenburg in Delft, washed the car, and polished away a 10 cm spot of bird poo damage, for free!!

Misleading use of Autotrust warranty in car advertisements
I want to share my experience regarding the use of the Autotrust name in car advertisements.
My mother purchased a vehicle from Friesland Auto Voordeel nl B.V., where the advertisement clearly referenced an Autotrust warranty. This played an important role in the purchase decision.
However, after the purchase, when a serious issue occurred with the car, the seller claimed that no warranty applied to this specific vehicle.
What is concerning is that:
The advertisement (as confirmed by Marktplaats) included a reference to Autotrust warranty.
Other vehicles from the same seller (even older cars with higher mileage) are still displayed with “Autotrust guarantee” in the highlights.
Any limiting conditions regarding the warranty are only mentioned deeper in the description and are not clearly reflected in the main advertisement view.
This creates a situation where the Autotrust name is presented in a way that can give consumers the impression that a warranty applies, while in practice this may not be honored.
The case is currently being handled legally, so I will not speculate further. However, I believe it is important for Autotrust to be aware of how their name is being used in third-party advertisements.
I bought premium warranty and they don’t cover anything
I bought premium warranty. And I had 2 damage in a year and any of them were covered. Even if in the summary contract says it’s covered they find out a way to don’t accept claims. It was just waist of money to have such a bad service

Reliable Warranty Coverage and Excellent Service
My experience with Autotrust was smooth and completely painless. The whole process was very easy from start to finish, and the warranty coverage worked exactly as expected according to the contract. My car issue was promptly resolved without any hassle, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was a straightforward and reliable experience, and I felt well supported throughout the process.

Shocking
Phone today to start a claim for vehicle and the agent after taking reg plate basically said won't cover and was doing his best to advise not to bother making a claim. Didn't want to give details of how to make a claim pointless having it. Reading other reviews looks like fraudulent company selling warranty they will never pay
engine tampering
My wife and I recently bought a BMW from Auto Trust dealership. 2 months later, the car just stopped in the middle of the road. We had to be towed back. I took it to 2 separate mechanics who could neither fix nor point out the issue. When I finally engaged a BMW specialist, he immediately highlighted the issue and upon removing the old part he informed me the vehicle had been modified to pass emission's etc. And this was the reason why the car will no longer move. I called the garage. unfortunately, they said they could not help as did not purchase their warranty. It is illegal to tamper with engines in order for them to pass emission's and mot. Very disappointed. Never will I buy anything from them.

Claim at Auto Trust itself is very easy in terms of approval etc, however Garage afflicated took time for actual repair that was due to delay in part delivery. Overall, I recommend Auto Trust for sure!

They wouldn't renew my warranty
They wouldn't renew my warranty on My VW Transporter which cost 30 K and has 42000 miles
because I had do some work on it myself , a qualified
engineer /mechanic who can provide all receipts and uses genuine parts. and I have not done a claim
had the policy for a year when I brought the van from A VW van centre, very disappointed obviously don`t want my money or business.
Garages have no expereince
My only concern is about the garages, I visited 3 different garages for the same problem 5 times in 7 months, and finally it get resolved, I think some of the garages your dealing with have no enough experience.

Beware!
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during and after the purchase of my vehicle from your dealership.
Initially, the salesperson, Juan, appeared to be trustworthy. However, my experience has proven otherwise. Despite paying for a third-party vehicle inspection, several items clearly visible in the inspection report photos (such as mats, charging cables, extension cords, and a components bag) were missing upon delivery of the vehicle.
Further, I paid Juan additional money for the vehicle's delivery, but it arrived damaged. I incurred $315 in repair costs out of my own pocket. I promptly reported these issues to Juan, as well as to his partner at JCT Transport, but I have yet to receive any reimbursement or resolution.
As a military service member, I value professionalism, honesty, and respect for hard-earned money. Regrettably, this experience has left me feeling deceived and frustrated. I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone and strongly advise others to avoid it at all costs.

Our car waited for months in the service for a part to be replaced and we were left without a vehicle for months. In which country in the world do you wait months for a repair? The Netherlands is really bad at cars.

The Netherlands is not a developed country! Waiting 3 months for a car repair is a big deal. Even third world countries do not have such long repair times. How developed are you?
Simple and effective
Problem solved very easily and quickly. Super friendly and experienced company.
