Buyer be aware using Autotrader

Auto Trader,
Terms of Service: Their user agreements explicitly state they do not inspect, vouch for, or guarantee the identity, legitimacy, or vehicle descriptions provided by external dealers or private sellers.
We just lost £1500 on a fraudulent autotrader ad ( Your on your own) " The trader" is a rundown paper shop in Wakefield. You have more rights on Ebay,

While it's true that we aren't responsible for the content of the adverts themselves, as the seller is responsible for providing that, we do have checks in place to verify the details they provide to us before they're allowed to advertise.

Beware of scammers

Excellent platform to sell privately if you pitch the price realistically. However, beware of scammers asking for a vehicle history check from a fake website.
